I made 25 gorgeous cards (haven't had time to upload a picture yet). Only problem is, THEY'RE FOR SOMEONE ELSE. A friend/customer actually, and I'm getting $3 apiece for them. Haven't started my own, didn't send cards last year, and never heard the end of it from family. So they WILL get done, in between my remaining shopping, wrapping, cleaning, cooking, baking, shlepping kids for haircuts, and oh, my JOB. I'll be doing a VERY simple design.
Next year, I'm going to get a large amount of white cardstock cut in half (don't know if they can pre-score too?) at an Office Max or similar store. That way, at least I have my card bases already done!
I'm trying so hard not to stress about the holidays. Somehow, it always all gets done.
You can add me to the list. Somehow mass producing the same card doesn't have me inspired. No time to make several designs. Hopefully I can at least come up with a design tonight.

I may have to try this. I'm just worried that by the time Christmas rolls around I won't like the cards anymore *LOL*

I was panicing (that does not look like it is spelled right?) but I have decided that I cannot stress, and that if I really need to send out cards, they are going to be New Years cards.
I've made very few personal Christmas cards, and actually *gasp* bought a box of cards at the Hallmark store the other day. We finally took real family portraits, and everyone's getting one in their card. It's just a matter of getting *those* addressed, and the ones I've made, too. . . .I've been working on a big project that has had me address envelopes, but none are going to my family!

Folks are gonna love those portraits, Jenn!
I wish I could convince my family to have a professional portrait done. Taylor's hair has gone all skater-boy and he has been resisting a hair cut.

Most of the cards I have made for challenges since September are holiday cards, so I am now in the notes and addressing phase! Yay! I hope to get most mailed tomorrow.
nope, havent started and dont stress about it. holidays are supposed to be fun, so since i work full time, go to school part time, and have a 3.5 year old, i wont worry, i dont believe people keep track of when i send my cards, as long as they get one they are happy.
my last final exam is tomorrow so this week is when i start my cards.
i havent even wrapped gifts, only buy for my dd and i just have to buy frames for the grandparents photos we are giving them of our dd. dh, is a grinch so he doesnt get anything. again thats all gonna be done this week.
So this explains why I haven't RECEIVED any yet! I sent mine weeks ago and just finished the second batch for a few who actually missed getting one this year. I do not do nearly as many as you guys--maybe 50 total and you have to be very special to get a handmade one! My Leg Lamps were a huge hit this year but, my gosh-two weeks to make the things is ridiculous.
OMG! I thought it was just me! I am sooooo glad I read this thread-now I do not feel so guilty. I start out having every intention of making Christmas cards and making them EARLY!! THEN, I spend a ton of time daydreaming about what to make, checking web sites and buying what I "need" to make them, checking out the gallery for new ideas, not to mention the blogs and -what happens? LOL! I wake up, it's Dec.13 and I just KNOW that I won't get any made! Then (after breaking out in a cold sweat, lol!) I remind myself, (mainly just to not feel so guilty about having bought the stuff). that not many would really appreciate the effort and time that goes into the handmade cards. Then, if I'm lucky, I send out the store bought ones!
Maybe I will try that idea about starting in January and making a certain amount each month. Hmmmm.....let's see! Right now my total is 0 cards, and I certainly do not want to "over exert " myself  , so how about 2 ? Yes, that's it! 2 cards a month! After all, I don't want to make my stamper friends jealous (lol!) and be labeled as an "OVER ACHIEVER!"
OMG You stole my words. That is exactly what I do, buy stuff, look for inspiration, do some projects and other stuff, and then lo and behold it is Dec 15th and no cards to send out. lol.
But I am not stressing out. I will send what I can, otherwise I cannot. There is always next year and I can use these supplies next year. lol.
But it is funny that I made almost 50 cards for my friends and co-workers for selling, but none for my own use. <SIGH>
I am another one who is sooooo...glad that I am not the only one!! I have no design in my head, (had one but too much work now!), no desire to make any and almost can't be bothered with all that has to be done! Store bought might be the way to go. Most people throw them out anyway....right???!! And it is the thought that counts...isn't it?
I have no desire or energy to make or even mail a single card. I lost my Mother last week and I don't even care if Christmas comes or not. Bah...humbug.
dont worry I am in the same boat, I have made a few from a class that I've attended, but thats just abut it. I have been caught up teaching classes and setting up workshops and christmas shopping. oh, on top of that my son Aiden's birthday is on the 22nd so I've been busy planning the party plus making the invitations!
I have made the grand total of 10 Christmas cards and those are for very special friends and family members everyone else gets shop bought cards that I picked up in the New Year Sales. Have just spent a couple of hours writing them out and addressing envelopes and they can be posted tomorrow. Another job crossed off the to do list!!!!!!!!!

I'm so sorry! I lost my mom last summer....the holidays are kind of bittersweet.
I haven't started mine! I was sick the week of Thanksgiving, my 2 yr old was sick all last week. I've had orders for Christmas cards (total of 105) to get done first before I even start my own.
And then this:
<------- Had to do cards for the DD gallery.
NOW i can start Christmas cards! Oh, wait, I still have to finish the order and do teacher gifts! maybe i'll make New Year cards!
I wish I could convince my family to have a professional portrait done. Taylor's hair has gone all skater-boy and he has been resisting a hair cut.
Ya know, I had all these big plans to do family portraits. I was going to pay hundreds of dollars to get it done. I finally said screw it. I can do that for much cheaper. I got my kids dressed and went to the beach and saved $350+. Got them developed online. Mele Kalikimaka!

Consuelo- wow! What beautiful pictures of your beautiful children. Nice job. I took my DD and 2 (!!) dogs to the photo place at our mall and came out an hour later with 75 photo Christmas cards. I mailed those out late last week. My family and close friends will get hand-made cards that I made from the challenges in their gift packages. That took the heat off me so I could enjoy making fewer cards. I did decide to give a set of 4 hand-made cards in a simple holder to my sisters using my rather large stash, so that's goin' well. I am really going to try to make a set of cards each month next year and send more hand-stamped cards next year. Good luck ladies and let's be happy.

I attached a couple of the pictures.
WOWIE!! Your pictures are great and the kids look fabulous in their red outfits!!! Good for you! I am inspired to make my family dress up now and go to da beach!!
