Gosh, thanks so much - everyone - for your replies!!! Okay, with all of your help, I'm OVER my psychological, self-imposed age hurdle! Thank you, thank you!!!
I hope we've convinced said OP on this.....our forties and fifties and even beyond are nothing like what my parents are/did experience. I'm seeing 70's are the new 50's which frankly makes my 40's the new 20's!!!!
That whole "juicy" thing makes me want to say Eeeewwwww! Back on track with the demo thing now, my demo is over 60, has serious health problems, but is always ready to go and have workshops. She's the best!

Man, wish I was 48 again......been a demo for 10 years .....and, started when I was 52....not too hard to figure how old I am .....have two workshops a month and all ages come over....one of my best customers, when I started, was my Aunt, who was 84 at the time....she loved to learn new things and stamped till only a few months before her passing, God rest her beautiful soul.....
I guess our job here is done! LOL! Don't a lot of us with we were 48 still!! Best of luck, Shelby on your new adventure! And when you hit 50, we'll help you over that life passage!!
... to become a demo for a company like SU or CTMH? I'm 48 and for some reason my age seems to be a psychological obstacle for me to overcome. Are there successful and happy demos out there age 48 and older? Let me know!
I am 57 and have been a demo for 7 months. I have only been stamping for little over a year. I love the business of being a demo, I am not as sucessful as I would like to be, but I think that is because I am retired and I do not have any contact with co-workers that might want to host workshops.
I have a stampin club that meets once a month and we have loads of fun. Everyone in my club is over 45. I usually make enough from my club orders to cover my habit.:p
If you need an upline for Stampin' Up!, I would be happy to be your sponsor.
You're never too old. I'm 48 and published my first novel with many more to follow. Age shouldn't deter you from anything you want to do especially when 50 is the new 30 so we're only in our 20s, lol.
