have you ever been made to feel like a lesser stamper because you don't have a blog??? I won't go into details, but someone said something recently in relation to me not having a blog, & it wasn't nice ~~ in fact, it stung. Ouch!!! That negates the very kind comment I received last week from someone here wondering if I have a blog so they could see more of my work.
Just wondering if this has ever happened to you! I know it's all about blogging now, & there are many things I can't participate in because I don't have one, but yeesh~~ this person made me feel like I'm nothing just because I don't have the desire to have one of my own :(
I too do not have a blog, matter of fact I have only made 2 cards, I am new at this, that is why I love this site, it encourages me and motivates me. There are enough of those that do have them and show their pictures, for us that do not have blogs we are Grateful to those who do.

I do have a blog and it would be stupid for anyone to criticize you for not blogging. Not everyone has the gift of gab nor has the time to commit to a blog. There is nothing wrong with being a non-blogger and your gallery is a wonderful view of your work. Brush it off and don't let it sting....some people just don't want to blog and that's fine with me. I just appreciate the fact that people are willing to openly share their creative work here...or on a blog.
I know it's all about blogging now, & there are many things I can't participate in because I don't have one, but yeesh~~ this person made me feel like I'm nothing just because I don't have the desire to have one of my own :(
It ain't all about the blogging, it's all about the STAMPING! Going by your gallery, you don't have anything to worry about stamping-wise, and regardless of which blog events you can't participate in, you are contributing a lot of inspiration with your uploaded creations!
It is A-OK to have neither the interest or inclination to start a blog; fooey on the bloggier-than thou person who went out of their way to make you feel bad. I bet they were just jealous!!
I just checked out your gallery. You have beautiful cards! I would have looked through more if it wasn't getting so close to my bedtime. Thanks for sharing here. I don't know if I would have found them if you had a blog. I normally don't click on links to blogs unless it is a friend's or someone specifically points me to one.
I don't blog, don't have the time, simply don't care about it, and no one has ever made me feel inferior for not blogging. Shame on whoever did that to you. Feel confident in your work, your joy, your art...blogging does not make one talented, and it does not make one superior to another. Anyone can blog...doesn't mean a darn thing.
I dont have a blog....well I do but it is inactive....I simply do not have the time to keep one up. As it is I rarely have time to get the cards I have made uploaded here so I certainly dont have time to post things daily to a blog.
I would take what this person said with a grain of salt and move forward!

your gallery rocks! don't worry about what one person says, they're probably just jealous. You have to want to blog (commit to the time it takes) and just like stamping, it's not for EVERYONE. keep doing what you're doing
I don't have a blog either, so that's more than two people. I just went to your galley. You have some of the cutest stamps I have ever seen. Your work is just amazing!
No blog here! I had one for 2 weeks and found it was too much work! Kudos for those who work hard at it, posting often. I don't know how they do it!
But why would anyone care whether you have a blog or not? Heck, there are even design team members for stamp companies who do not have blogs. Cyndi Haffner and Linda Lambert (hope I got those names right) come to mind. They are fantastic stampers, design team members and do NOT blog.
I can't believe someone would say something like that! (Well, I am surprised every day by some of the things I read here...) I am so sorry you were made to feel like less of a stamper because you don't have a blog. I can tell you this...you probably have WAY more time to stamp because of it.
Don't let someone who obviously doesn't have any manners get you down...blogging is fun...but some days...I wish I didn't have one!
And your work ROCKS!

I can see why someone would want you to have a blog--your artwork is amazing!!! But they should never make you feel bad because you don't have one. I don't blog, nor do I have a list of ones I visit-it's not for me. And if it's not for you, then don't let that person's comment get you down. You provide inspiration just by uploading your creations here!!! Phooeey on them!!!
I don't have a blog and have absolutely no interest in having one. There is only one blog that I read regularly. I guess I am a little unsure even of my gallery, and really don't feel I have the time or inclination to talk on a blog. Don't feel in ANY way inferior that you don't have one. This web site is wonderful and we can choose our own way of sharing, whether it be blogging, having a gallery, commenting, asking questions, or whatever WE choose to do!
Just my 2 worth!

I don't have a blog either. No interest in having one. But I do look at some. You have a beautiful gallery. Love all your art work. Don't listen to mean people and just keep doing your "Special Thing".

Ok, I barely have uploaded anything that I have done to my gallery, if I dont have time to do that, I dont have time to blog. There is alot of chatter about peoples blogs and links to them and all of that kind of stuff, but that is what they have made time to do, right now i make time to do other things. I would just blow it off. I would love to have a beautiful blog and a beautiful gallery and all the other wonderful things that you can do with them, but on the same side Im not jealous of someone who can and does have time. I know there are alot of people on this website, but probably many wonderful cardmakers arent even on the internet enough to find this great place, shall we all make coments about them for not posting their work here, I think not! Its hard not to let your feelings get hurt, but just chalk it up to their lack of manners.

WHAT? That's crazy that someone would make you feel bad for not having a blog. Your gallery totally rocks and it's true what Mahloumel said. It's not about blogging, it's about stamping.
Don't get me wrong, I love blogging and have lots of fun doing it but it's my choice to have one. Blogging doesn't make you a better stamper. Stamping is what makes you a better stamper. LOL!
And besides, this is a hobby and it's supposed to be fun. Are you having fun? If so, then stay your course.
I love your work, BTW!!

I wanted to pop by with my couple-a cents. (I don't have a blog, maybe in the future, but not for any popularity contest.)
I have been a member here for quite awhile and I remember the pre-blogging days and those were good times. Newer things aren't always better, and nobody should feel inadequate for not jumping on the bandwagon.
BTW, I remember once you sent me an adorable RAK, and everytime I see your screen name I think of that nice act and it gives me a warm fuzzy!
I don't have nor do I plan on having a blog. I read quite a few(mostly look at what kind of card they posted & to qet inspired). I have a few I read word for word. I don't have that gift of gab that someone eles would enjoy, nor the time.
Your work is great! So don't worry about what someone eles says.
I'm going back and look at your gallery again and get inspired to color some images.
I have a blog, but mainly started it to show my family the pages and cards I do since I don't have time to show everyone everything. I am sorry that someone made you feel that way. I do list my blog in my siggy, but I do not list it when I upload my cards and pages on Splitcoast and when someone puts in to see their blog for more info in the photo details I usually don't leave a comment or click on it even if I really want to know how they made it. I have two kids, take care of my two nephews and have hardly any time to stamp, let alone spend hours looking. I just went to high speed last month after having dial up for 9 years, so I guess I am still in that mode too.
hugs,

You are one AWESOME Stamper!! I can't beleive someone would say something so RUDE! Not everyone has time to Blog. Not everyone has time to Read Blogs. You do what is right for you and what fits into your lifestyle. Do not feel bad because you donot have a blog. I have had to cut back on my "reading of Blogs" because it was taking up too much time. Life comes first. Have fun with stamping.

Well I'm here to say I don't have a blog and don't care. That's ones less thing to add stress to my life. I'm sorry someone treated you so rudely and I too know how it feels. I got my behind chewed by some little guttersnipe last week when I tried to stick up for someone else. She ended her tirade with the comment that I'd earned a place on her ignore list. My thoughts about that were, Whoopie doo that will really alter my lifestyle. LOL. On the positive side of the whole thing was the wonderful PM's I received supporting my position. So just know that for for every rude, immature, busybody out there, there are tons of wonderful women here on SCS ready to support you....and by the way, your gallery is fabulous, I have several of your cards noted among my favorites. Keep up the good work---it's fabulous.

I agree with you. Fun is what this is supposed to be all about.
Blog? Oh honey, I haven't even figured out the whole gallery thing, yet! LOL!
Do what you love, let those foolish comments be mosquito noise that you let land and smack down (in your head, of course!).
It's kinda like the whole Christmas holiday thing, don't you think? it started out as a joyous way to celebrate a humble holiday in the middle of a dark time of year, and turned into this horrible monster of more, more, more until too many frazzled, harried (and broke) folk started yelling "uncle!"
Don't let your joy of stamping get nutty! Enjoy those who can pull off the more, more, more! And be ready to provide care and comfort when the fall-out begins!
No blog here either and NO desire. I do subscribe to a few and I love them, but for me it would take too much time away from SCS and from stamping. Heck I can't even keep up with cleaning the house and weeds in the garden let alone keep up a blog!!!! You're not alone
Hey Michelle, don't take ownership of someone elses strange opinion. That is their problem....not yours. You do beautiful work and only you can decide if you "ever" want to do a blog. The whole thing to me is not about blogging....it is about our craft and stamping. BLOW IT OFF!!!!! Feel great about what you do as it is wonderful!
I don't have a blog, nor do I have the time to even consider one. Heck--I don't even have a gallery yet--so you are one up on me! Some people can just be so rude!
If someone makes a comment like that, I'd say it's pretty safe to say that SHE is the one with the problem, not you. Keep doing what you love and ignore mean people.
Yikes! Take the good comment and ignore the bad. You're not alone.
Not only do I not HAVE a blog (okay, I blog on myspace but that's just a basic 'keep the family up to date' blog!): 1) I have no desire to blog (I'm a techno pheasant and, as I barely have time to stamp now, don't want to invest the hours it takes to make a blog look fabulous) AND 2) (being brutally honest here) rarely even look at OTHER people's blogs (for the same reasons that I don't blog)!
So keep making those gorgeous creations (that's to all the non-bloggers AND to the bloggers!) And, bloggers, if you love what you're doing, keep it up, no matter what anyone else says. There's no right or wrong here (as long as you list your 'recipe' when you post on SCS! :grin, just the wonderful variety that enriches us all as stampers!
I don't have a blog OR a gallery, so I guess I'm mud squared! Not that I care, nor should you. Your work is beautiful!!! Keep it up, and just say a prayer for the person who put you down for being blog-less. He/she needs it!
No blog for me, heck,I don't even have a gallery here, although I have thought about starting one(gallery, not blog). I don't have any interest in starting one even though I do have a long list of ones I check out daily. It is a personal decision and nobody's business as to whether you have one or not.
I don't blog. Most of my real life stamper friends do not blog. Shoot I'm just hoping one of these days I will learn to upload to the gallery. Some people are just so rude.
Well, that's just about the rudest thing I've ever heard! How dare she, you have a gorgeous gallery, looks like you already have a fan club here so who gives a rat's you-know-what whether or not you have a blog. You rawk no matter what!
I can't believe someone would insult you for not having a blog ~ That is just so strange and stupid.
I do enjoy reading some stamping blogs, although I find I really just glance at the pictures rather than read all the text. I'd rather spend time looking at someone's SCS gallery than digging through blog pages to find card ideas.
