Our women's ministry is going to stamp and make cards for 180 inmates in a womens facility. Does anyone know of the best and least expensive adhesive that I could get for about 35 women making cards. Snail adhesive is too expensive for this size a group. Suggestions needed. Budget very limited.
Blessings,
I personally like Tombow Mono Multi with the green cap. A little goes a long way. You can put very thin lines for thin paper or a little more for cardstock. Penwa.com has them for 10/$19.00 and free shipping for $50+. You would probably only need 1 bottle for every 2-3 people. Or get a coupon for each lady and have them buy a bottle from Hobby Lobby, A.C. Moore, Michaels, or Joann. Or a few just go everyday and stock up.

I too think Tombow is the way to go or SU! has glue sticks that are reasonably priced. They are rectangular in shape and glide right into the corners of layers. If you go with the Tombow make sure you show everyone how little it really takes to make it stick.

A big old jar of YES glue would work great. You can divy it out in the little glad snack containers and put it on the tables. Use popsicle sticks to spread it. It'll go a long way and it won't cost much!

I usually order Tombow Mono Multi from scrapbookpal.com. Their price is 1.99 per bottle and free shipping is from $25.01 - I usually have no trouble ordering several bottles and a couple of other items!

Another Mono Multi lover here! I tried it because of so many SCSers recommendations! I got mine at H.L. w/ a coupon. My Mikes doesn't carry it. Be sure you get the Tombow Mono MULTI. It is called *multi* cause it is repositionable if you let it dry before adhering. If you adhere while wet, its permanent. Do not buy the Tombow Mono that has a green cap. It does NOT stay stuck for long periods. Its a real bummer to look at a card a month later that you've labored over and find your layers or embellies have popped off.
I do love Yes Paste too for some projects. BUT, although it glues like cement and doesn't pop off, it can be very messy. Your ladies may not have much experience with glue and they may feel frustration rather than feeling elated over making a gorgeous card themselves.
Good luck with your classes. They sound like a wonderful outlet for the ladies.
May God bless, Sandi

:mad:Michaels stopped carrying it. I had to find a new source online for it. I keep baby wipes close by to use it. DH would have a cow w/ our tight budget,i don't have money for tape dispensers.:I have used it for 15 yrs. Now that I'm mass producing cards for Iraq this is the only glue I can afford. It does go a long ways. I do put my cards under a book press after I glue them to stay flat. I have used it ti s/bk & nothing has come loose, grandmabear:
