I need ideas. My entire family - sister, brother, their families and mine are going on a cruise with my parents to celebrate their 50th. I would ike to make some kind of memento for the occasion. My mom makes the most amazing altered scrapbooks, so probably that's not the best idea.
Anybody have some ideas - for a gift, for the event, anything? HELP!
How about matching decorated frames? You can take a picture of everybody together to fill it!

Congratulations to your parents! My parents celebrated their 50th last year, and I made them this card: 50th Anniversary! by beadfreak22 at Splitcoaststampers My mom framed it and has on her dresser. Along with the card, I made them a CD Slideshow with hundreds of special pics, beginning with their honeymoon and ending with all of the grandchildren. Some I had to convert from old slides! Anyway, I hope that helps!
This isn't a "gift" idea but you could have friends and family who won't be on the cruise send cards ahead of time to you and then present them to your parents during the cruise.
For my in laws 50th anniversary we recreated a street sign, as they met on a corner, and then had pictures of them and all their boys through the years. Maybe you could do something reminiscent of their first date.
A lady I know decorated an SU chipboard journal and then took it with her on a family trip. They tucked in little momentos from different places as did a lot of actual journaling. There were a few photos but it wasn't necessarily a scrapbook. You could have each family member write on a page or two and record their favorite memories while on the trip.
This a card I made for a 25th anniversary. If you pop the brad out the ornament is comes out as a keepsake. You could do it in gold instead of the silver.
