Square sounds fun but where do we get the envelopes? I just started to make 6 x 6 cards for my parents and I bought CTMH envelopes I know go to the competitor for things we dont' carry.

I know I have gotten them at Michael's before! but you can make them too.. I have used the templated that SU has had and adjusted them, if you can't find any let me know...maybe www.viking.com carries some. they are usually PRETTY cheap and FAST!
OMG, I had3 RAKS in my mail pile...when did they come?...why didn't anyone tell me?...why do we have to get so much freakin' mail????
I LOVE all of them!!!!!
I haven't checked yet, but hopefully they are in the gallery...if not I will upload tomorrow.
Thanks Deedee (StampinDeeDee)...so cute with canvas BG and little flowers in a pocket;
Thanks Vicki (Basement Stamper)...beautiful rose, with ribbon and a button; and
Thanks Diana (Princessdi69)...very cool envelope style pocket card, Apricot Appeal is one of my favorite colors!
*UPDATE* I found Deedee's card and added a link. However, all three, pending approval, will be found here in a few minutes!
I have never made a square card before...does that mean all the cards we send out have to be square? I have the same dilemma with envelopes...sure I could learn!

By all means NO you dont have to send just square ones!!!! I am trying to find a solution for the envies...
There are also square envelopes on page 203 of the catalog- in both medium (for 5x5 cards) and large (for 6x6 cards) sizes. The medium ones are 20 for $5.95 which is a pretty good deal.

OMG this website is dangerous. I was making grilled cheese for the triplets dinner and then I went into the laundry room and found a pile of clothes from my husband to wash! Then I completely forgot about the grilled cheese and I was reading this thread until I smelt something burning. YIKES their dinner is a bit burnt. Still didn't get to the surprise! bummer.
That sounds like me, ha ha hah ahahah haha! ROTFL
I get so wrapped up when I'm on this site, my kids usually don't get lunch until they tell me they're hungry (Natalie tells me too in her own way )
Speaking of, it's 5:00 pm here and I had better whip this house back into shape before DH gets home.
BTW
I like the square card idea, I'll have to look at my envie temps and see what's up.
Great! I've been meaning to try some square cards. Glad I checked this thread before I sat down to make some RAK's tonight. Hubby is at his bike club meeting so I've got the house to myself.

clearenvelopes.com has every size envelope in clear or white and very cheap and fairly fast if I remember correctly. If you're making a 6x6 card, you'll want your envie to be a bit bigger - I use 6.5 x 6.5 to mail 6x6 pages to grandparents every month.

okay I'm on this website and I can't for the life of me find the 6 1/2 by 6 1/2 envelopes. I tried searching by size and then it brings up bags not envelopes. Do you know the item number?
if anyone wants to go together and get some let me know. I might get some 6.5x6.5 ones too. (hint)
how do you find these things? Doesn't look like you can order on line you have to call. I hate that. I may take you up on that group order thing if we can't find them cheaper elsewhere.

how much postage do you put on those packages you send to your grandparents?

Sometimes 63 and sometimes 87 cents. It depends on how many pages and how much hardward/layers. The bigger size automatically puts it at 63 cents. If it is over 1 ounce then 87 cents. I'm trying to remember how many pages the one that put me at 87 cents was. It was 4 with layering plus photos plus hardward.

I had to find vellum envies for anniv. party invites I made that were 5x7. They had them. Jack's mom was the one that ordered them, I didn't remember that she had to call them. But hey I will do that.
Let me know. I am really thinking of doing the 5x5 and some 6.5x6.5 one too.
A BIG thank you to Stampindeedee for the belated birthday card that I got in the mail from her yesterday!! I LOVE it! I don't have that dog stamp set and the dancing dog with the birthday hat on is sooooo cute! Thanks so much for thinking of me! You're so sweet!

I haven't had a chance to get on here much lately. But wanted to thank Stamp-a-licious aka Cindy for the wonderful purse post-it-note holder; that little turtle is just so darn cute!
I am really behind on posting a "Thank You" to Deedee (StampinDeedee) & Erica (slprunning) for the beautiful RAK's! It was really a nice surprise to open my mailbox & find some lovely cards from my fellow SCSers. Keep an eye out for one in return. Have a scrappy w/e!

Your welcome, Sally. Yes, this is a su set. It is oooold and it is a definitely decorative set called Wildflowers. A friend is having me "store" her stamps for her. Can't let them sit and get dusty now, can we.
