Default Scrapbook Expo?

Have any of you attended a Scrapbook EXPO event?

I live in Maryland, and there's one coming up near Philadelphia in April, and another in northern Virginia in June. I'm giving serious thought to going to the one near Philly (I work every-other weekend, and the June Expo is my weekend "on"), but I'd like to hear someone say "Yes! It's worth it!"

There are several classes that tempt me, and there are some vendors I've never shopped before--plus a few I know and love. But it's an investment of time, money, and a few hours of travel time.

Anyone? Good, bad, indifferent--talk to me! Please?

The Scrapbook Expo is about an hour away for me and I have been for the past 4 years. My first year I was relatively new to paper crafting so the shopping part was very exciting and I found lot of crafty things you don't usually see at Michael's and I didn't shop on line alot back then. Now I take at least one class and some shopping. You can get some great deals but not alot in my mind I see it as a way to see whats new and to touch and feel all the goodies I don't usually see. You can also do make and takes. I have gone alone and with a friend. Either way is a good time, sometimes I see people I know there!

Pros -- lots of vendors in one spot, some great deals, chance to see new things, meet people in the industry, some freebies at the door and some booths.
Cons -- way too many vendors were more like garage sales and had acres of stuff to hunt through, big change of over spending, some things look like deals but they are not.
That said, I will be at one in June in San Diego, avoiding the store booths and concentrating on the manufacturer booths, with a few exceptions. I skipped last year (no bucks) but even with a limited budget it can be a fun day.

Thanks to both of you for the feedback! I think I'm going to go. It's an incentive for me to file my income tax returns a little earlier this year, so I have some extra "mad money.". (Yes, I'm one of "those people" who usually wait until April 14th or 15th to file.)
