Default Project Life - too big!?!?

I love the idea of starting a Project Life type album, but I'm quite sure I'd only get a little ways into it and I'd give up.

Does anyone have ideas for a smaller type album? Maybe a monthly thing?

I like the idea, but I'm thinking of something smaller scale!

Go ahead and give it a try doing a 2 page spread for a month instead of for a week!

I'm doing a modified version that suits me. Some months will have just a double page spread but for busy weeks they will get their own pages. You can really do whatever you want

I GAVE UP! ;) I tried weekly and made it to 7 weeks. I've always done monthly before that. So as of this week, I decided to go back to monthly. It's how I save my pictures on the computer and even when I do find the time to start organizing and printing pics to crop, it's hard for me to convert the monthly saved pictures into weekly printed pictures. It was such a headache.

Not to discourage you but I was just laughing with a friend last night at what an epic failure I was at this thing, LOL!!! I think a modified version of monthly is just fine and it's still a huge accomplishment! Good luck!

I couldn't even think of scrapbooking the project life way. I scrapbook events, so this really isn't my style. I do like the concept, but I have read on quite a few blogs of how much work it is. I agree with Jamie that a modified version would probably be a better option. I've thought about doing a couple pages just to see how it would feel, but I think I would do a page for each month (my life really isn't that exciting to take a whole bunch of pictures of my husband and me watching tv or working in the yard...)

Project Life has really been very freeing for me with my scrapbooking. I do not take a picture for every day. Sometimes I go lots of days without taking a photo. Sometimes I take many many many photos. I love the freedom of sliding my photo into a pocket and writing a few short words or sentences about that photo on a journaling card. I love using the date stamp on the journaling card-no guessing when the picture was taken from others who are looking at the album. I do not do weekly format. I use the "week of" cards as title cards. Some two page spreads are a hodge podge of unrelated photos. Big events like Christmas or birthdays may take many pages. Project Life is very flexible.

This is about what has become of my "daily" pictures too.

right now i am working on Nov and Dec of 2011--almost done. i started 2012, but still need to print pictures. i'm thinking i need to find a spot somewhere that is dedicated to project life. i may be more likely to work on it a little at a time.

I love Project Life but I find out I have to cheat sometimes and I a picture for a day that was a double of another day. Oh and I never get the pictures printed on time. I just printed out the rest of my 2011 ones. 2012 - none are printed out.
