Default "Tip in Book" or "Box Book"

Has anyone heard of this style scrapbook? Ive seen it mentioned, googled it and got nothing. From what I understand it is an album that is not bound, you "tip" the pages into a box, can number pages if order is needed, do front and back of a page or a 2 page spread, add dividers etc. I just need to see one, a tutorial or something. I'm having trouble wrapping my head around this. Any help will be appreciated. TIA.

I've used the "tip in" technique for altered book swaps. Here's a couple of examples:
