Default Alexa's Pretend Stampin' Friends

Good Morning! Hope everyone made it here safely I started a new thread, since I never really thought of the ramifications of the title of the other thread, since we're all frequent visitors there. I figured I'd start the thread here, since I know sometimes we've shared some business stuff in the thread, like the other one, but if the mods move it, so be it
I've posted a link from the other thread, and we'll leave that one for when times are rough, and hopefully won't have to use it anymore, right?? Happy Monday Pretend Stampin' friends!!!

Good morning pretend stamping friends!

I am still wrapping my head around the goodie exchange, but so far we have 13 "players". I think I'll do this via e-mail when we get the ball rolling. I may need to wait for Lauren to get back so I can bounce my crazy ideas off of her - she's always up for listening to my wacky thoughts .

Happy Monday, friends!

I'm here. The others had a point about the other thread. I felt the same way about that Samantha thread - every time it popped up I started to worry.

I hope everyone is having a great time at Disney and that it's WARM enough there! In Chicago it was colder on Easter than it was on Christmas. My niece actually got minor frost bite on her cheeks at the Easter egg hunt!

I hope everyone enjoys their Disney trip! Have a ton of fun, stay safe. Oh, and I hope the weather is a bit warmer than it has been.. I heard it was in the low 60's last week. So, I'm praying for a bit of warm weather for you!

Oh, my, Easter should not be THAT cold! That is just wrong - lol. I have just been over to the Bella sight to check out what I can't live without. Thought I might better buy something in "honor of Lauren".

Hi Everyone! I'm here! Hope everyone is doing great today.

I'm just taking a quick break from housework, then I'm back at it. I *really* want to stamp later today.....

Hello new Pretend Stamping Friends!

I tried to be "good" and not spend any $ in April until Tracey and Lauren and I go to the Providence expo at the end of the month. That plan didn't work.

"Someone" (Tracey) has become the ultimate enabler and sent me a GC to Eclectic Paperie! Well, one does not just spend the amount of the GC - after the GC and the SCS discount, I still spent over $40! But, I'll have new stickles and more new papers to play with this week .

I have to say that I'm lovin' the new papers I got from EP last time, so I'm excited about my new goodies!

Welcome new Pretend Stampin' Friends!

Default Good morning

Hi evberyone. Checking in between house cleaning and errands. Cannot believe how much of a mess 3 little ones can make in just 2 short days!

I'll be placing an order myself today - need to get some CS for upcoming April events and I am also making my niece's bday invites. Got to get cranking on them.

I've stayed off the EP site - may have to check it out though! Ok - so as I mentioned before, I'm way behing the times - but what are stickles?

Here's hoping the Meader family is having a great time in FL and that the weather warms up! Can't wait for Staci to check in later today with news about meeting Lauren today!

Happy Monday to everyone!

You know I love ya! And, I love spending $ at EP (thank you!)! They should really issue frequent shopping cards .

I have already started a "shopping list" for the Expo. I'm in need of some lime green and soft orchid inks. I'm sure my list will go out the window when we actually go LOL!

I know I *heart* them too!

I never even thought of making a list! Wow, that could get dangerous...yes, I too, would love a lime color, CS too...but perhaps I shall just fly by the seat of my pants and see what I fall in love with

Hoping the Meaders are already up and out having a blast at some Disney themed place! Hope the luncheon today is super fun!!

Good morning all. My name is Barb, and I have been following the other thread and have just recently jumped in last week after Alexa's counts were low.

I am also afraid I'll have withdrawal while Laursn is in FL. Her blog is truly inspirational!!!

Tracey, I love the smiley's you have been coming up with. Especially loved the bunny one. I even called my DH out to show him that one!!

Hope everyone had a great Easter!!

Hi all. Glad you all got on this new thread. I was meaning to say something about the other thread and the title and all for weeks, don't know why I finally did this morning. Guess I was worried when I saw it was at the top again.
We can keep each other company while the Meaders do Disney. Just think of all the scrappin Lauren will have!

Welcome, Betty and Barb! I am also a huge fan of Lauren's blog and will go thru withdrawals not reading new posts.

Did anyone do Lauren's Saturday Sketch? I did and would love to see what you all have done. If you have free time to stamp today, give the sketch a whirl! I love to comment on the galleries of the Pretend Stampin' Friends

Vee - you were so right when you suggested this thread. I think for many reasons this thread was a good idea. Thanks!

I haven't gotten back down to stampland since my last upload, but hoping to either tonight or tomorrow...I'm going through withdrawl. I had my family over for Easter yesterday, so I figured this past weekend was a bust.

We'll have to ask Lauren, maybe we can come up with a unique identifier to put in the keywords, make it easier to find...you know, like the color combo challenge is cc###, etc.

Vee - you were so right when you suggested this thread. I think for many reasons this thread was a good idea. Thanks!

Thank you Paulette. I have not done the Saturday Sketch, hopefully I'll get some time to do it this week. With raising my grandson, my stamping time has really been cut down. I forgot how much time little ones take up!!! By the time I get home from work and get him into bed, I'm exhausted. (Guess that happens when you get older!!).

I love to look at the galleries. One of these days I'll get one of my own started. I'm a computer programmer and until I get home from work, the last thing I want to do is log onto my computer. (As you can see, I do most of my browsing/posting during the day).

Hope the Meader family is having a wonderful time in FL.

While everyone is jumping in- I'll take the plunge too! I've been following the thread daily and went back and read every entry since the first posting. I feel like I know everyone! My name is Marcia and I live outside of Chicago. I come to this thread for inspiration and examples of sisterly love in action. I promise to talk "more" and one of these days I will get up the courage to post some of my work. I hope Lauren and the family have wonderful trip.

Ladies ~

Tracey and I have discussed this thread, as well as a few mods. We try to keep all chat threads to Fun & Games. I am moving this particular thread ~ I just wanted to let you know that it wasn't without discussion and consideration to all of you involved!

Keep on chatting

Mornin', All!

Tracey~~I think Vee's idea to start a new thread for the reason she mentioned was a good one....so THANKS for starting this one! And lookie...new friends poppin' out too!
Ya know, you have another excuse for getting tired quicker too. Congrats on the kicks!

Like everyone else, I'm hoping for a warm, wonderful day at Disney for the Meaders!
Can't wait to hear how lunch with Lauren & the girls went!

I think I'm supposed to be doin' something productive like finishing laundry & straightening up my stampin' space (what a nightmare after stampin' most of Saturday afternoon, evening, & yesterday morning)...but the energy level is slow to kick in this morning.

I hope all the Pretend Stampin' Friends (PSF's? ) have a great day!

Thanks, Lori! You mods always take such good care of things around here - we know we're in good hands! Thanks again!

Okay, ladies we're now in Fun & Games, so we can chat, chat, chat! Hope Lauren is able to find us when she gets back from Disney

OMG- this is awesome! The only worry I have is how I will possibly be able to keep up with all this chatter! Being on the West Coast I often get on in the morning to find I have missed out on SO much already! Oh, well, sometimes that's not a bad thing if I can somehow escape the enabling that goes on here. NOT! I have come to realize it just goes with the territory, so as I welcome Karyn here, I have to say- you just have to realize that there is some real serious enabling that goes on here, so brace yourself! Don't say I didn't warn you...
Anyway, I just want to say that I hope you all had a very happy Easter, whatever the temperatures were, and that your week is off to a wonderful start. I, too, loved the little smilies; He is risen was wonderful, and those cute little eggs just adorable! I called Caroline in to show her and she loved them, too.
I am off to the shelter in a little bit (after the plumber finishes fixing the toilet) and will give you an update when I return. I can not believe I have been without Maggie a week now. It actually seems much longer. The emptiness from her absence is even worse than I expected. Thank you all again so much for your comforting words and understanding!
Later this afternoon I plan on working on some projects for DDSS and the Mother's Day swap I am in. So much stamping I want to do, and so little time! But, it always gets done somehow. Priorities!!!
Thinking about Lauren and her family, and praying for fun, good health and sunshine. Boy, how will SHE ever catch up on all that will be going on here when she returns?!
Have a great day everyone and CHAT AWAY!!

Hi to Sarah and Jenn!

Jenn - I will definitely check out your gallery again. So glad you're uploading!

Sarah - good luck at the shelter. If you can, we'd love to see a pic of your new addition! Hugs to you!

I love having a place for chat, but I wasn't getting very much done at work today! I'm home now, so I doubt I'll get much work done here either!
