I really didn't have time to play today, but was so touched by Jen's story, I just had to do a quick one -- here's my meager attempt:

I was touched by your personal story. October 19, 1995 is my daughter's birthday. She was born at 26 weeks and spent 5 months in the hospital. She is truely our greatest gift and she is a constent reminder of how life should be celebrated everyday! Thank you for this challenge that represents the gift of life!

I hope to play later, I have my little 'gifts' here for most of the day. I get to be substitute teacher for my homeschooled DGC, The 11 y.o helps with the 7 and 5 yo. This really is fun for me.

Thanks for the inspiration, Jen. I've had your family and others who have posted here on my mind all day. My little granddaughter was 7 weeks premature, and I have the greatest gift in that I am able to be her care-giver while my daughter and son-in-law are at work. In the work and busy-ness of every day, it's good to be reminded of our blessings.

Thank you, Jen, for sharing your story with us and giving me something to reflect upon today. I've suffered a series of miscarriages and have never been able to carry a baby to term. The gift of life my husband and I are praying for now comes in the form of a baby girl from China who hopefully will be joining our family in the not-too-distant future. Thank you for reminding me that life truly is a gift.

Here's my card

Jen, sending hugs your way. What a bittersweet story. It's a fantastic reminder though that those closest to us are so precious.....and they are usually the ones that are most taken advantage of. We sometimes treat our friends or acquainances better than our family. Thank you for the reminder. I'm going to go find my kids and DH and give them hugs and kisses! Will play the challenge soon too!

Thank you Jen and others for sharing your touching stories. Blessings to you for the loving care all of you are giving to your children, and, Diane, to you as you seek a child in China. Our Chinese granddaughter is so special to us.

This is a last minute card I made to add to a couple of packets I am sending to two members of SCS who forward them to the trips. This one says "hugs to you" on the inside - hopefully it will find its way back to a military child in the US.
