This is sounds like sooooo much fun! I can't wait to get started, but of course I have a (possibly stupid) question... Can I use 2 sheets of designer paper? Just as long as I use one whole sheet of one right??

Yipee!!! I finished!! And I totally loved doing it but I have a question before I upload. I used 1 sheet of 12x12 patterned paper, various pieces of cardstock, ink and ribbon, punches, Looks Like Spring, Happy Everything (for the sentiment), Monogram letter J and Letterpress Alphabet (for the title on scrapbook page, I don't have stickers to use). Did I cheat? Or is this okay? I won't upload until Monday and I can probably redo it if I used too much. Please let me know.

well, I was SOOO looking forward to this challenge for the weekend. I came on tonight to get the details, and alas...
I can NOT do the challenge::sniff-sniff:: I do not own a digital camera--I can't take a group photo.

however,

I am LOOKING FORWARD to seeing what everyone else comes up with!

I agree in that I do not think a digital camera is considered a supply.

See Post 70, this thread for box trick - just might work for you - or do as Jeanne suggested and make small, flat projects - you can do it!

But these challenges help me try new and creative things and isn't that what they are about?
Huge thanks to you, Jen!!

I 100% agree that Jen and all the other challenge hostess are fabulous and helpful and I an most thankful for them and their challenges, BUT, there is a difference between not having a stamping supply and not having a digital camera. I do not have one either, and therefore unable to participate. It is disappointing...

HOWEVER, I certainly would not let this keep me from being in other challenges!
I will be following, and viewing everyone's creations!

Those that do not have digital cameras....

first of all...if anyone is unhappy you can be unhappy with me, not Jen, since it was originally my idea.

second...everyone CAN play along, but may not be eligible for the grand prize. Several suggestions have been offered as to how someone might be able to get creative and upload their projects to qualify...
take a pic with your film camera, develop it and scan
make all your projecst things that can be scanned and then use photo software to make the scans all into one group upload
take your stuff to a friend's house to take a digi photo for you
plus I'm sure there are other creative ways to qualify.

Even if you do not qualify for the prize you can still play and upload as many projects as you can scan. It was never our intention for anyone to feel left out. Unfortunately almost any time there is a contest with rules involved there will be people who are unable to comply with the rules for one reason or another. Don't let this stop you from playing and having a blast!!!! Really it's all about the creativity in the long run anyway, isn't it? More so than qualifying for a prize?

I'm not Jen, but I would say that no, you cannot use a 2nd sheet of designer paper.

I have most of my 'stuff' figured out and ready to make the first 'cut' into my paper. I can't believe I am actually going to use a whole sheet at one time. I am such a hoarder. Love this challenge, Hope I finish. Thanks Jen for all your work. We certainly appreciate it.

Wow ladies! Thanks for the support.

I had a great question by PM. I was so concentrated on using the whole piece of patterned paper that I didn't even think of this question. Do you have to use the same sets on every individual item in the group? I didn't. I just made sure that each item just used only 2 sets and one sentiment. Gosh did I break my own rule? That's kinda funny! As far as I'm concerned either way is fine with me. We want to see you use up one piece of 12x12 paper instead of hoarding it!

OK... Should I admit this?

After the first week back to school, DH and I took cat naps, long cat naps! DS got his Game Cube back after being "grounded" from it for 1.5 days. None of us noticed we missed dinner until about an hour ago! That's what I'd call zoned parents! LOL!

Well... What if the second sheet was used just as an accent piece like faux ribbon? I know it's cool to use a combo of 2 patterns, but I would keep it at a minimum.

Is it just your scrapbook page? That's understandable that you needed the Big J with the smaller letters.

My big thing is the one sheet of 12x12. The stamps being limited per item was to make sure the paper shined and we weren't hoarding it. At least that's how my mind was working. That can be scary sometimes!

Ugh! you mean I made it harder than it is????

In that case I'm patting myself on the back... I used 1 set & my snap stamps, that's it. I would have used a big ole background stamp or another set, but that would have meant getting up off my butt, LOL!

I'm gonna finish taking pics and messing with all of this in photoshop tomorrow. I'm off to bed.
Thanks, Jen for the AWESOME CHALLENGE! I had fun and I'm glad you chose something that would make me stretch myself and stop being a paper horder

Well Jen you sure challenged me today. I needed this after a long, hard work week. These seemed to go so quickly and easily. I hope you like them.

Ok, so let me get this right...you can use two different sets and a sentiment on each creation? At this point in my creating, that would really help! So far, I have made 2 things, one using In Full Bloom solely, and the other using only Polar Pals and Snap Stamps. I was planning on using just those three things (the Snap Stamps being the sentiment) on all my creations, but I would love having more choice for the rest! However, I have to wait to finish until Sunday, cause I have to work early tomorrow. Thanks, Jen!!

Me, too, Jenny -- two sets and one additional sentiment -- actually a word printed on the computer -- for the entire project. That was my understanding. Oh, well. I'm done. I'll upload tomorrow. It's quarter of two in the morning, and I'm going to bed! Thanks, Jen. It was lots of fun!

Yes. The original directions did state 2 sets OR 1 set and a background. The sentiment is in addition to that.

Jenny and Lois, I'm thinking that those of you who used the same sets on all the creations would have a more cohesive group picture which may give you an advantage. In this case, the misunderstanding was a good thing!
