LSC212 (3/20/09) The First Day of Spring

It's the first day of spring and what better way to celebrate it than creating something springy!

Here are the rules:

1. Colors must be something in the Soft Subtles line, i.e., soft. If you don't have the exact colors, something close will do.

2. A spring flower or bulb must be your main image.

Here is my sample.

Please upload your cards to the gallery using keyword LSC212.

Uploading: Remember the keyword is without spaces. Use a comma between keywords with a space after each comma.

If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!

Need help linking a card? Follow these instructions!

1. Open 2 windows: One window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Got to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.

Fun challenge but not sure I'll get to it. Had a card almost done that I was waiting on to see if it would fit in the challenge.. it half does as I did use flowers but I used the CC from this week.. not soft subtle

Oh, well. can't wait to see what everyone else does.

Thanks for the challenge! I'm going to see what I can come up with... soft subtles aren't usally my "go to", so this will be fun!

Just joking here.... but I thought it was a bit funny that even the challenge hostess did not follow the rules this time. LOL Main image must be spring flower or bulb. But the little spring birdie is just adorable!! Seriously, I'm joking... I loved the little chuckle it gave me!

Cindy, dahlin! Great spring challenge. I will pull out my soft subtles and see what I can do! Oh, and you have the date listed at 3/29/09. I think you mean 3/19/09

Ah, Cindy, don't be so hard on yourself!! The date was just a typo... 0 and 9 are right next to each other. Simple mistake. But now I feel bad for even mentioning the flower thing... you can just edit and have the rule be "flower, spring bulb, OR Easter theme".

No hard feelings, I hope!

LOL. No, not at all. I had it all fixed and then Holly said above that the date was 3/19. I got in panic mode again and checked the calendar and I'm pretty sure it's the 20th. At least I hope it is. The ever gracious Roxie helped me fix that.
