Splitcoaststampers.com - the world's #1 papercrafting community
You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
For today’s Limited Supplies Challenge, we are making masculine cards – for those men in our lives who are teens and adults! (Those are the challenging ones, aren’t they sometimes? It is easier for me to make a card for a little boy!)
What’s limited this week?
NO FLOWERS (I know there are men out there that love flowers and gardens and all that, but this week you have to choose something else! Other plants are okay (trees, grass and so on), just not flowers!).
NO RIBBON (fibers, twine, linen thread, etc. are okay).
NO BLING (that includes glitter, stickles, gems, pearls, all that kind of thing).
No other limits on embellishments, tools, techniques, or layers. ANY subject matter or theme.
Please upload only NEW creations for this challenge, as the idea is to get us stamping!
Uploading: Remember the keyword is without spaces. Use a comma between keywords with a space after each comma.
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!
Need help linking a card? Follow these instructions!
1. Open 2 windows: One window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
You’re done!

Thanks, Judy. I am always in need of some masculine cards, and I have a son who is a drummer. Thought this stamp would be a hit with him. Made my own background paper:
Great challenge! I'm also so excited that I checked before I went to bed - this is the first time ever that I have gotten a challenge done so early - YEAH! You can find my card here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...ords&si=LSC234. Thanks for the great bedtime challenge

Here is my early morning challenge card that I chose to do instead of doing my hair this morning....haha....it's dress down friday anyway..........and my hair cooperated.....hope you like my card!! I have had challenge withdrawl, first working on swap cards for convention and now creating a display board for an upcoming event.....so here is my challenge fix for a while!!
What about twill tape, Judy? Is that too much like ribbon?
I love twill, Loretta -- couldn't decide about that, so if you want to use it, go for it!!

I was stumped when I saw this this morning. But by the time I'd got back from town, I had remembered that I needed a card to send my brother, and he was always a big Snoopy fan, so this was easy - Detecting a Birthday
This is a wonderful challenge. It seems as though masculine cards are a total challenge for all of us addicts and they are getting more attention than ever lately. I would love to participate, but we are moving our daughter to college today...well, finishing her move. I am ready and excited for her!
I WANNA PLAY (said in my best 8 y/o whiney voice!!)!! I have had an idea floating in my head (yes, there is lots of space there) for a few days now.....
DRAT that work thing!! (ok, ok...maybe this weekend I'll get to play, sob, sob)
