Default Meatball Recipe

Hello...

We're having friends over for a get together and I'm trying to find a meatball recipe that I can serve with other HORS DEUVRES.

I know I can buy the meatballs already made at M&M's Costo...all here in Canada but there has to be a great sauce that I can whip up and prepare them ahead of time

Thanks for your help.

Karen

This is a favorite in my family...

4 bags frozen party size mini meatballs ( I get them at trader joes - 20 oz bag)
1 large jar grape jelly
2 jars Heinz chili sauce

Throw it all in a crock pot for a couple hours on low.

Optional - heat the chili sauce and jelly together in a saucepan before stirring it in with the meatballs... this cooks down the jelly a bit, and makes it easier to coat the meatballs.

I know it sounds weird... the first time my sister made these, I was hesitant to try them, but it is one we have at every family get together now! Makes enough for a big crowd!

I use the prepared meatballs, too and put them in the crock pot with canned pineapple chunks and bbq sauce. They were a big hit the last time we had the neighbors over.

Grape jelly and chili sauce is a huge hit with friends and family. It is sooo easy.
I know it sounds weird , but people really rave about them.

I have made the BBQ and pineapple too. They are good too.

I use marinara sauce then you can put out little rolls for mini meatball subs too...also use teriyaki sauce or make a swedish meatball sauce too. Enjoy..
