Default SBVC28...Chipboard stamping...5.30.08

SBVC28...Chipboard stamping...5.30.08

I want you to use your stamps to change the looks of your "naked or not so naked" chipboard. On both of my LO's I painted the chipboard then stamped them. The stars were heat embossed. I lightly sanded the edge of the photo corner.

Tips - I didn't have enough stars, so I traced around them on the white cardboard that came with the DSP, cut them out and put 2 layers together, the thickness is very similar to chipboard and works perfectly with simple shapes.

The photo corner started out as a frame - I cut it up as I was pretty sure I'd never use the frame - woohoo - 4 photo corners.

my samples:

I love chipboard. It will be fun to stamp on it. Wonder why I've never done it before?

Default Here's mine

This challenge was fun--I enjoyed stamping my chipboard. I also doubled up and used one of the Sketches too (SBSC124).

Thanks for the great challenge, Peggy!

Default Finally finished it!

Well I'm not thrilled about the way it turned out, may DD was bugging me constantly while working on this page and I got so frustrated I just didn't want to work on it anymore so just 'finished' it. I'm sure you've all been there before ladies. ha-ha. Anyway, it was still a good challenge for me because I've never altered chipboard or even thought about it before, and I have so much chipboard I never use because its the wrong color, style, etc. So now in the future when I need a specific chipboard piece for a layout, I know I can 'alter' an existing one. Anyhow, here it is: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...5099?si=SBVC28

whew! I finally got a challenge done! I tried to stencil the title originally and messed it up, so stamped chipboard to the rescue! Thanks so much for the inspiration - I'm loving everybody's pages.

Wanted to use the pink metallic chipboard I had bought for another project but turned out it was the wrong color pink. For this lo, I tried to tone it down by using white craft ink and stamping the victorian lace bg on it all. I couldn't believe how long it took for the ink to dry on the vellum cs and the craft ink to dry on the metallic chipboard. Did it last night, checked this a.m. and it was still tacky. Thought I'd have to emboss and heat when I got home but they were finally both dry!
