Default How do you get back to real life?

I came back from the most gorgeous cruise to Mexico and I can't seem to get back into real life!! How do you guys get back to real living? Or do I just need to book another cruise for next month and go again and never get back to real life?
It is so sad to dream about it for so long and then for it to be over so fast!
Sad in TX - wanting to be in Cozumel,
Jodie

I am so happy you had a great time, Jodie. I prayed for you! I will also pray that God will help you "get back to real life". May His daily blessings pour out upon you in the everyday stuff.

Hugs,
Amanda

I know how you feel. Last summer we went on a 15-state road trip that we'd planned for over a year and then it was all over in 2 weeks! So depressing. What helped for us was to start thinking about what we wanted our next vacation to be, even if it won't happen anytime soon! It really helped to just get ideas going around in our heads.

Last year my husband and I went to Japan. We traveled the county with our daughter who had lived there for two years teaching English. It was Cherry Blossom time and because our daughter is fluent in Japanese the two weeks we spent there were unbelievable! She was the ultimate tour guide! Almost every day something will bring back a special memory of our trip. It's a brief escape from "Real Life". Cherish those moments, it's mini vacation from the daily grind.

I get the magazine Cruise Travel and love to read about all the places and thing to do. I have been on . I have been on seven and the last one was a ten day cruise. That was really great. I went on one 4 day and it was much too short.

It's always so difficult to return from a fabulous vacation! I would imagine that as you get back into the daily grind, it will get easier each day. That's the trouble with vacation--you plan and prepare and then it's over so quickly! Good luck readjusting to 'real life!'

Real easy to come down from fabulous vacations when you can't afford them, LOL! Believe me, coming home from the in-laws house is a real PLEASURE!!!! A bed I can sleep in! Water that tastes good! Not having to worry that I'll say something to send my MIL into a sulk. Ah, yes...you don't know how good it is to get home...so for me, my vacations make me appreciate my home even more!
