Good morning, my very dear dear friends, hope the Lord gave each of you a wonderful and blessed Easter!

Today is our day to visit with our oldest grandson, Alexander, and as always looking forward to our time together.

Thought to share this devotional for today.

VERSE:
And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious
riches in Christ Jesus.
-- Philippians 4:19

THOUGHT:
Throughout Scripture, God reminds us that if our trust is in him
and if we share his blessings with others, he will make sure we
have all that we need. How can we be sure? Look at the confidence
Jesus had in God!

PRAYER:
Dear Father, please forgive me for trying to find my security
and hope in things other than you. I know that there is no other
source of hope, freedom, and security than you. Help me tear down
every idol that I may have erected that dilutes or distorts my
trust in you. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Not so happy tax day --- Reynold and I went to the Tea Party in Annapolis today along with some friends... it was chilly, windy and very rainy. In spite of the weather, there were lots and lots of people there. We got soaked but glad we went -- did have fun.

Here is a devotional for the day...

VERSE:
But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits
of those who have fallen asleep.
-- 1 Corinthians 15:20

THOUGHT:
"Why do you seek the living among the dead?" These words of the
angel to the women who came to Jesus' tomb are also God's words to
us. Jesus is risen! Not only that, he is the firstfruits from the
dead. He is the guarantee that God's harvest will happen; he is our
assurance that we, too, will be raised. Death no longer has a hold
on us! We are God's eternal children and death cannot separate us
from his presence or his love!

PRAYER:
Father God, I praise you for your redeeming grace. I rejoice in
your conquest over Satan and over his power to wound and destroy
through death. I thank you for your power over the grave. Thank you
for raising Jesus from the dead and giving me the assurance of life
forever with you. Please bless me, dear Father, with a life that
reflects the power that you have now working in me. In Jesus' name
I pray. Amen.

Hello everyone
Caterina thanks for the devo.
Beth glad you could be with family for easter. This was first time in awhile, it felt really good.I did it again. I signed up for a swap right here in Kuna Idaho. Looking forward to it, after last time I am not so scared, even have a card idea. What a switch. you all are rubbing off on me.
Okay now I have a prayer request. A new co-worker is asking for prayer, she wants so desperatly to be touched by God. She wants to feel him working in her, she wants to just quit swearing and know that this has come from the father. I have been praying for her and her family, they are going back to church after being away. My friends grandparents are really strong believers at our church. Also she has a friend who has been suicidal since breaking up with a boyfriend. If we all join up I know we can make some things happen.
Doris I have enjoyed the devo's you have posted.
Hello Toni, Gail, Julie, and Gloria.
God Bless you all

Margy, just said a prayer for your friend at work and her family, also for the girl that broke up with her boyfriend. You are such a joy to have on this site.

Caterina, We had one of the "tea" parties here in a town close to us to but we didn't get to it. I know we should have gone, hopefully those in government will listen. Thanks for the devotional I know how busy you are with your Cole kids. How is Taylor?

OH, I have been bitten bad..... with that awful spring cleaning bug. Even the dog doesn't come close for fear he'll get the bath he needs after a long winter!! Hung all the blankets and sheets outside after washing them today, can't wait to crawl into bed tonight they'll smell so good.
Tomorrow will hit a couple of the smaller rooms, then the living room on Friday. Will be helping at a funeral at church on Saturday so will have to leave the kitchen and back porch go until next week. Why do I wait and leave it all go until spring and fall... it would be so much easier to do it year round. Guess that is what mom and grandma did so it is passed down.

Well needless to say I am feeling all 64 years tonight so will say goodnight, take care and so glad you are all in my life. Gloria

The latest post for sweet beautiful brave Taylor --- please keep praying!!

Taylor's little body is working hard to clean itself out. Not only did we have two complete bedding changes before 3am but you can still hear her little tummy from across the room...kinda scary!

Between yesterday afternoon and 8am she had NO back pain and NO potty pain. She still hasn't had back pain but did have one episode where her hips hurt a bit and the potty pain, however they gave her one dose of Dilaudid and it worked! It worked!!!

My baby girl had a whole night without pain, isn't that awesome?!?

She is complaining a lot of queasiness and crampiness but I think once we get past this that we are on the right road to recovery! She even got up last night and walked across the room again.

Oh, and the best news? Her kidney function levels are within NORMAL range as of 2am this morning : ) Thank you, God! We also got results back that her CMV has gone undetected which they are really surprised about but that's a GOOD thing.

Tay looked at me last night and before she drifted off to sleep told me, "I had a good day, momma." I did too, baby girl. If you're ok, then my world is ok.

Thank you for all of your love, light, and prayers. Thank you for your emails and kind words on her site here. We are so thankful and so blessed. She's a true testament to the power of thoughts and prayers!

hugs,

gina

Good morning dear friends, thank you oh so much for praying for my sweet wonderful beautiful brave Cole kids. With 43 children being diagnosed daily in this country with cancer, am busy as ever. It is such a privilege to follow this small warriors, post on their sites, send them cards and little gifts. So wish I could do more - the Lord has truly given me a heart for each and every one of them.

Thought to share this one for today.

VERSE:
Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God
the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and
power.
-- 1 Corinthians 15:24

THOUGHT:
Closing time! That's when everything is counted, the doors are
locked, and the final tally is made. Jesus is Lord of closing time.
Even though he won the victory over death and sin while he was
here, we're still waiting to get swept up into his victory march.
But, that day is coming. Every knee will bow! Every evil power will
face destruction. The hearts that are yielded to God, however, will
be placed into his loving and mighty hands forever. Our Lord
reigns!

PRAYER:
Almighty God, Father of grace and mercy, I appreciate your
tenderness and patience with me. However, Father, I am also
comforted to know your power and might. I am heartened to know that
Jesus will assert his rule and destroy everything false, malicious,
evil, and wicked. May that day come, soon! In Jesus' name I pray.
Amen.

Caterina, thanks for posting aobut little Taylor. Bless their hearts. Always am lifting up the Cole kids in my prayers.

Hope everyone else is having a great day.

Did I tell you I got a 2 day booth at a big festival here in our town this summer? I'm so excited. It's a big tadoo around here......so I've been in a stamping frenzi already. Have any of you ever done craft shows? This is two full days and I have no idea how much stuff I will need. My mom is going to help and my SU demo has some things she will make to put in the booth too. I think it will be fine...it's the weekend before the 4th. But, I've been busy, busy, busy!

Good morning dear dear friends, it is a beautiful sunny day here in Reisterstown!! Yeah!

Thanks soooo much for praying for my precious sweet Cole kids - cannot even begin to express how much it means to them and to me. Each day, I find myself wanting to drive all around the country to visit these awesome heroes!!

Here is a devotional for some encouragement.

VERSE:
For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his
feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
-- 1 Corinthians 15:25-26

THOUGHT:
How many times have you stood over the grave of a recently
departed friend or loved one? When was the last time you tasted
grief and separation from someone you dearly loved? I don't know
about you, but I am so thankful that the Bible identifies death as
one of Jesus' enemies. I am thankful that he hates death, and the
damage and separation it causes, even more than I do. I am filled
with joy to know that death will be destroyed and immortality and
life will be given to the children of God!

PRAYER:
Holy Father, please triumph with life and mercy in the lives of
those I know who are wrestling with emotional, spiritual, and
physical death. Triumph in their lives through your power and your
grace. I look forward to the day, dear Father, when death is no
more. Lord Jesus, I not only pray this in your name, but I ask you
to speed this day. Amen.

Good morning all, hoping today is a blessed one for each of you.

Encouragement for the day.

VERSE:
Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will
all be changed-- in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the
last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised
imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must
clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with
immortality.
-- 1 Corinthians 15:51-53

THOUGHT:
I'm going to be changed! You're going to be changed! We're not
talking about a new wardrobe or haircut. We're not talking about a
new car or a new place to live. We are talking major, heavy-duty
overhaul! We're going to be made immortal. We're going to become
indestructible. We will no longer be perishable goods! We're bound
for glory.

PRAYER:
Inspire my faith, dear Lord, to trust your timing and to lean
upon your grace. I believe that you not only know all the
mysteries, but that you hold all triumphs in your hand. Please make
me victorious, O LORD Almighty, through the mighty work of your
Son. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Happy Lord's Day dear friends, we had a very good breakfast/church service this morning in our home. Unfortunately, our pastor and his wife were unable to attend because Pastor George is having some health issues again so Reynold guided our service.

Here is another encouraging devotion - have a very blessed day!!

VERSE:
When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and
the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will
come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory."
-- 1 Corinthians 15:54

THOUGHT:
As Christians, even if our bodies die, we don't! Our physical
death just means that we will be given immortal bodies. Christ will
raise us up and clothe us with immortality. Death will not have a
hold on us because we are God's children. Victory is ours. Death
does not have the final word; Jesus does, and he says, "Rise!"

PRAYER:
Father, I know that my physical earthly body is fragile. Dear
Father, I know that no matter how good a shape I stay in or how
careful I am about my health, I cannot stop the process of physical
death in my body. But I am excited to know that even though my
physical body will fail, you won't fail. Even though my human body
is fragile, I know you are powerful and triumphant. Father, I do
look forward to the day of victory when death is swallowed up by
the glory and power of Jesus' return for me and his transformation
of me. Until that day, dear God, I serve you with joy as I look
forward to seeing you face to face. In Jesus' mighty name I pray.
Amen.

Toni, so glad to see you here again. Hopefully you will be back again soon. Glad to hear that you are enjoying your work.

Caterina, thank you for all the devotions of the past few days, they have been very meaningful.

I have been MIA this week as well. I had a really fun sub job this week, it was just each morning and then one afternoon, but I enjoyed it more than any other job I've done so far this year. Most of my afternoons were either spent exercising, working in the yard, or just busyness, so I didn't have time to post much of anything. I really need to spend some time at my stamping table so that is where I'm headed after here.

Hello to everyone else, and have a glorious Sunday.

Hello computer friends!

Thank you for the devotionals Caterina, isn't this a wonderful way to spread the word of God, to encourage us in everyday times and to we hope touch the hearts of those who just check in to read the posts. Who knows who we might touch by seeing how all of us who started out strangers and now have become friends.

We had a great service today also, the minister talked to both the children in their time and then in his sermon, how the arms of God are present in everything we do for each other by working though us. From working the soup kitchen, knitting prayer shawls ( thought of you Margy), feeding the poor in other country's, serving at funerals, the children who played music at our service today etc. and I am thinking by simply praying for those in need.

Toni, I have missed you and your posts, so glad you are enjoying your at home job. Tell us all about it, we would love to hear.

Julie, Good to have you posting today to, sounds like you had a great week at school! Hope next week is just as good!

Beth, sounds like you'll be getting ready for your sale. You do such nice work know you'll do great.

Gale, how have you been? I think your husband had dentist work he was getting done? or did I get it mixed up? Has spring come your way yet?

Margy, You are such a busy person with your crafts. Are you making the vests for family?

Rita, Doris, April, Elee, hope all are doing good.

Wishing you all a sunny week with warm fuzzy feelings. Gloria

Today we had an excellent sermon also. It was about the week after Jesus was resurrected. About Thomas and how doubting he was. It was just so great because the preacher was talking about how so many of us see Jesus on the cross and forget that He is alive and He is risen. And that we need to live like He is alive and not still nailed on the cross. I don't know if that made sense, but it was a fantastic sermon Just had to share.

Hi Danielle, sounds like church was awesome for you...YES, I love it, that we need to live like Jesus IS Alive...because he IS! YIPPY!

Caterina, thanks for the devos.....as always, they are so good to read and think on.

Margy, good for you on trying to sell some goods! That's awesome! I worked on so many cards this weekend that I had a little burn out lastn ight...just could not make another one. I think I made aboug 20 or so....lots of them were duplicates. I've made some fast and easy ones, now I need to work on some more detalied types, Trying to get a good mix of things.

We've had rain here all weekend....well, Sat. was okay. I took a big walk with the boys..>I walked, they rode their bikes. I have a big but it needs to be fixed up as both tires are deado. I think it was only about 1.4 miles but for soomeone who doesn't exercies...it was a good start for me.

Can you all pray about teaching jobs for me? I've been applying for the last year to try to get into the schools. There just hasn't been must posted in the lat weeks as far as openings...at all! But, today there was a Spec. Ed. Elem job posted at one of the schools where I have an app on file. So, I applied. This school district would be great. I have gone through 2 stages of the interview process with them....online app and went to their office last fall and did a video taped interview. So, I think to even be called in for that was a good thing. Anyway, jusst pray that God's will be done concerning this...I know schools are really cutting back qas everyone is taking in hit with this economy...this time last year there was TONS of listings posted...but this one I applied for today was the only one I've seein in 2 months.

Thanks and hope everyone has an awesome Monday!

Hello everybody.
Yes, I'm still here. Just quiet.

Beth, I'll be praying for you. The tough part is always getting in, I think. We were fortunate that when dh graduated, there were quite a few positions available, and he's been around long enough in the district, that he's pretty secure.
I admire you for the patience to work with Special Ed. elementary!
I prefer teenagers and older!

Hope all is well with everyone.

Good morning friends -- thought to share this devotional today - we all need grace....

VERSE:
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
-- Philippians 4:23

THOUGHT:
Some prayers are so simple and so precious. To pray grace "on"
someone is a great blessing. To pray that this grace be more than
physical, external things is greater still. So why not pray this
prayer for those you love.

PRAYER:
God, please pour out your grace on the following people that I
deeply love and want to know your grace, mercy, and power. I pray
for (List personal names of friends and family who need your
prayers.) ... in Jesus' name. Amen.

Hello all. Thanks for the devotional Caterina, and good to hear how much you're enjoying working with the Cole kids.

I am still working every day, but no full days. Which is nice because then I also have some time to myself at home as well. I've been doing recess this week, and we've been having the most gorgeous weather so it's actually been a blessing.

I know I haven't been posting as much here lately, but I have been following everything. I hope you are all doing well. DH still doesn't know anything concerning his job so we're still concerned about that. I'm also having some difficulty with a friend, what I considered to be a pretty strong friendship is now hanging on by a thread, and I don't really know what's going on. Hopefully I'll be at peace regarding these issues soon.

Have a great spring day!

Thanks, Gail! I really appreciate it! I'd been in the system for about 7 years prior to having the boys..now I've been out about 8 so am trying to get that foot back in the door.

Caterina, thanks for the devos....I think that prayer is a good one we can all pray for each other!

Julie, Glad you are working and part-time is just about the best, isn't it? Best of both worlds for sure. I'd like that!

Had a tough week here. PMSing big time and it's whacking my brain out. I've just been very emotional and teary, snappy and grouchy! LOL! But, I think the 3 hours I had outside today really helped. In Indiana, our fall/winter/spring ucky weather seems to go on for 8 months. It gets to be a big downer when you are cooped up for---e-----ver----! There IS light at the end of the tunnel.

Hi Wendy, glad you dropped in...and Toni too.

Hello everyone
Beth I will keep you in my prayers, being in the school when you have children is a very good thing. Hope your sale goes over really big, and you get an interveiw again.
Toni hello glad you are working at something from home that is wonderfull
Julie so glad you are getting good sub positions, and still have time for you.
My computer is way toasted, so have to share with hubby. Have lost so much info, can't get it back either. Oh well.
Gloria, I am making one vest for my daughter but the rest I plan on selling at a church bazzaar in Nov. Once I take out what it cost to make the vests, I will donate the rst to our church building fund. We are trying to pay off the building, so we are working toward a large amount of things for sale, I am making candy boxes, using a template with the Big Shot. My hubby makes wonderfull fudge, so will put some in the little boxes, he also makes really good bread, so will make bread to go with the soup we are offering for lunch. We are really hopeing for a good turnout. My dd makes really nice cards and other cute items with her stamping so she will do that and make little purses out of Capri Sun containers. When I get my old laptop up and going I'll have to send pix.
Our weekend camping trip was wonderfull, had a nice time.
Will keep you all in my prayers.
God Bless

Busy day here - we are hosting a cookout/house church meeting this afternoon here in our home.... cleaning, food prep, etc.

Here is a devotional on one of my favorite verses to post on my Cole kids' sites.

VERSE:
I lift up my eyes to the hills -- where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
-- Psalm 121:1-2

THOUGHT:
Since God could speak into existence the universe, and since God
knows our names and the number of the hairs on our head ... surely
we know that we can go to him for our help. Let's lift up our eyes
and our hearts to El Shaddai, Lord God of the Mountains, and know
the Almighty sees our needs, hears our requests, and cares about
our hearts.

PRAYER:
Holy and all-powerful Abba Father, I do look to you for help.
You are the one true source of redemption, power, comfort,
encouragement, hope, and excellence in my life. Please give me the
wisdom to know your will and choose your will for my life. Thank
you for being faithful through the ages to your people and
throughout my life to me. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Welcome, Crafter4u, this is a great group to be part of.

I would like to say how much you all mean to me. I may not be on here as often, I'm going through a difficult situation and I'm not sure how I'll be while I'm dealing with it. To make a long story short, for the last few years I've been very good friends (or so I thought) with this woman I connected with at my kids' school. We exercised together, would meet for coffee, go shopping, we usually talked nearly every day. For the last month I've noticed that she hasn't really wanted to make plans as often, and when we do she quite often will cancel at the last minute. This morning she pretty much told me that she doesn't want me to be part of her life anymore. I have absolutely no idea why, she says that she just wants to do her own thing and doesn't want to "wait for me" which I don't even understand what that means.

While I have lost friendships before, this one had a little more invested and it's going to be hard to let go. I don't have a lot of people in my life because my DH is kind of a recluse, and I've always been too busy with this particular friend to make new ones. I'm just not sure what I'm going to do with my spare time since she was always such a part of my schedule.

Thanks for reading this and please pray for me. This is tearing me apart and isn't going to be easy to get through. She was like a second mother to me sometimes.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Julie, so so sorry for what you are going through right now. Had a similar thing happen with a friend twice... several years apart from one another. The first time, she just decided that I was not spiritual enough for her. I was absolutly devastated and hurt - she was my closest best friend - literally the whole thing made me physical ill.

Then five years later, she called to say the Lord had convicted her and asked for forgiveness which was no problem for me. We picked up right where we had left off. However, a couple years later, it happened again. This time she said she wanted to change my mind over a personal family situation which both my husband, our pastor and I had given great prayer to and believed the Lord was leading us in another direction. That particular time, the Lord showed me just how much He had taught me and was able to handle it with His grace.

Bottom line, although it is was a difficult thing to go through, the Lord has made good on every bit of it, building up my faith and drawing me closer to Him.

Hang in there, a better day is coming.
