Garam Masala in pumpkin pie? Sounds intriguing, I have some in my spice cabinet....hmmmm.
Chrissy, I agree, the recipe on the Libby's pumpkin puree can is my favorite just this year I substituted the milk it called for with almond milk. It didn't really set up as firmly as it does normally but it was tasty!
YES it's so good! And I had the same problem with almond milk. See if you can get this - it makes all the difference. They also make an evaporated coconut milk.
Sorry to interrupt the pumpkin pie talk! I admit I have been a member here for years, and yet rarely join in eeeek
I made 123 Christmas cards this year, and finished them last week, and then remembered the Falliday Fest. I hope it is okay that my cards for the challenges won't be Christmas themed. I will try to remember next year to not be so efficient haha
I think I saw this is 2 weeks long. Is there a deadline to complete? I really do apologize for not staying more current in the happenings at SCS! Thanks
Oh of course! We are very easy going - our challenges exist to inspire. There's no "wrong" way to do them.
The deadline is in each challenge post. And we are happy you are here!
Twice we have been "treated" to pumpkin pie on visits across the pond - I think it is disgusting - sorry if you love it! I love a good old fashioned spiced apple pie but don't eat that sort of stuff anymore. Hubby has dessert on his own 95% of the time.
Janine, maybe you just had poor examples of pumpkin pie. I don't know why I like it, I just do.

Can you taste the coconut flavor in it? Just curious.
Well,,,tackled Lydia's challenge today....and made two cards each with a different bird....not saying what they are you will have to wait for the post....LOL! I also put away a stamp order that arrived this morning and am going to see if any of the scribbles on the challenge sheets lead to a card later after my grands go home for the evening. I am working outside my normal box on each challenge so far and still able to meet my goal of only using stamps and materials that haven't had any use so far this year.....I checked my stamp shelving and it appears if we continue it through April I might actually utilize all the stamps I own that have never seen ink.....LOL! Onward and upward through basketball tomorrow for the three siblings and honor choir concert for the senior boy and hopefully time left in the day for me to do more challenges and tutorials. Today's tutorial is a scary one for me........lots of moving parts and steps......if I don't surface MOnday you can find me buried in my craft room.

Card Sketch Challenge 1-227 done only 396+ to go to be caught up!!!!!
So, I made it home before dark... I spent another hour yet again opening all the boxes in the closet, also checked the letter sorter at the end of the tables ( where coloring things hide in bins like AI inks, watercolors, etc. no dice) those jars of flakes are just plain gone which is really strange.
every day I look, and every day I tell my self if I order new jars I will then find mine...
just curious, do they actually sell them say at Micheals or Joanns? ( the ones I bought came from Amazon and SSS)
well, to answer my own question in case someone else is considering it, Micheals is online only for flakes and Joanns here is mostly online but, is supposed to have some Heidi Swapp flakes on a shelf somewhere in there. ( me and my gal pal from work are going to Craft Bazaars tomorrow to shop so maybe there will be a pit stop at J's )
If you're talking about gilding flakes, I got mine at Michaels in the martha stewart section where they have stencils, etc. Mine came in 6x6 sheets that you flaked if you wanted pieces.
There is a hobby Lobby about 80 miles from me and I will be in that town next week but, I was thinking to just grab a small bottle in town. ( because, I KNOW I bought 2 or 3 jars last year ) one is just gold and one is an assortment pack that was called Meadow. I remember that because, it had shades of blues in there with the others. but, I'll be danged if I can find them. I know they are too big to be in the flower soft box, but last year I got new tables up here and re-arranged things. as far as I know those are the only thing I don't know what I did with them
Just wanted to jump in and say hello. This is my first year participating in the Falliday Fest.. I have uploaded several cards made which I will be linking soon to the appropriate chat threads. Until then, feel free to look at my gallery. It’s been fun creating and posting, and it’s been fun to read through the threads as I try to learn what I need to be doing here. For those of you discussing the pumpkin pie, you might like to check out a wonderful tea made by the Red Rose company. There are lots of scrumptious zero calorie choices, including pumpkin pie!

Stacy, that’s exactly why I’m afraid to re-organize my studio. I’m afraid I won’t be able to find things. Now, I know exactly what is in each pile, box or stack (I think!). Haha! Good luck in finding your flakes.

well, pit stop was made at Joanns and I bought really big bottles of copper and gold flakes for 5 something a jar. I am shaking my head. The thing is, where those jars should be. everything I would have stored them with is where I think it is, so its just frustrating. I took boxes and boxes out of the closet and reorganized a bunch of the ones that were basket/ bin types before I put them away.
anyways, I had my knee go backwards a few days ago ( it does this like once a year) so climbing the stairs is an adventure at the moment and I am hoping to just stay home tomorrow and play catch up, I want to try these flakes and that embossed debossed background too a lot. ( plus all the challenges)
Feeling good. I have finished all the card challenges and 1 tutorial from those posted last week. Still need to photograph and upload but the making is the biggest for me. Also am whittling away at stamps, dies and embossing folders that I had purchased but never used. Feeling real good about that. Looking forward to tomorrow's postings.

Oh me too Pansy, and some of these are OLD stash things so that is a double good feel.
I think I have Holly & Kelly for challenges ( Kelly's is drip drying) and maybe two tutorials, but I am not so sure about the fluffy tree.
Well….. I have been busy and only have one challenge done so far! Today, leading a card class, tonight Bible study potluck, which means preparing something to take & finishing up my study of my lesson!😳.
But I think the rest of the week is clear for FF catch up, and making more Christmas cards, addressing 60 some, putting tree up, etc, etc!!!
Loving the challenges and galleries though.
I always forget about instagram, but I popped in a photo just a few minutes ago of some flowers that dried overnight. and I can't remember is there is a #hashtag for fallidays??
Stacy, I've been using #fallidayfest but I don't know if that's the correct one.

I’m all caught up on the tutorials. Now, to catch up on the rest of the challenges! I still have three or four to do. I’m very much enjoying the Falliday Fest! Thank you to all the hard-working people that make this happen!
What fun challenges, thanks to all the hosts for this event! It is a very busy time of year for me so I haven't been able to keep up during the week but hope to get to all the challenges by the weekend!
Taking a break.....put in over 2 hours on the 2 fer challenge and was just about to assembly stage when spilled my bottle of coke all over my worktop........so had to clean up the mess, throw away the damaged goods and count to 10--I normally don't have drinks on my worktop but today I needed the caffine. But, I changed tack a bit and like what I came up to replace the first go a bunch better so it all worked out in the end plus I can mark off 3 die sets and some paper from my "gonna use this or else" list.....

Card Sketch Challenge 1-227 done only 396+ to go to be caught up!!!!!
I am so glad I remembered to join the Falliday Fest again this year! What a great way to make me stock up on cards and try new things! Thank you to everyone who organizes and makes the challenges and tuts! It is just what I needed to occupy my dreary, colder days <3
OHHHHH! puppies....I would never get any work done with puppies....I would have to play....
Just did ( 3:00 pm CST) come up stairs from my crafting area.....I can't really believe it but I have at least one item for every challenge and all the tutorials. That has never happened to me in my life. Had loads of fun with all three assignments from Monday ( the 2 fer, the wet on wet and the note pad holder) Tonight after a jazz band concert for SEnior grandson--I hope to be awake enough to take photos of everything. If not, there is always the next day. CAn't wait to see what is in store for tomorrow...This group has been fun--though the gilding flakes drove me crazy!
Two more days for new "stuff" YEAH!

Pansy, yes the gilding flakes are messy but they sure do give a nice look on the cards!
Puppies are on the naughty list right now! One stole a project off my table and was chewing on the ribbon!!
I Found Sammy playing with my ribbon! Took it from her before she chewed it up. She just got done doing zoomies, like puppies do! Don't know what got into her, but she's finally settled down for a nap.
On the hashtag question - yes - #fallidayfest is it!
Today's challenges and tutorial are live - and I've updated the tracking sheet!
The tutorial links weren't copying over before, but they are there now. I'm going to try the embossing folder one today! And Lori did today's tutorial video - yay!
