For this challenge I would like you to scrap shoes IN ANY FORM.
You could use in your page(s) any one or more of these thoughts or come up with your own:
1. anything that is on a shoe such as a buckle or snap, but use a embellishment -not really part of a shoe
2. pictures of shoes ie: if you “collect” shoes like my DH thinks I do. He is always saying, “Just how many shoes do you need?” or “Don’t you already have a pair of black shoes?”
3. Stamp with a shoe anywhere on it or a stamp of a shoe itself.
4. Designer Paper with shoes on it.

It's pretty confusing - it says capitals count as two spaces (and there's a 26 letter limit) so you should only be able to fit 13 capitalized letters. But the sample shows 18 capital letters?

I love the idea of making 10 X-Mas cards every month (hopefully time will allow, since I have a hyper-active young Toddler). How do I go about signing up for the year 2010. I still have to start a gallery- that is required right? I have to figure out how difficult this will be.
I assume a post will be made to for people to sign up to.

The past decade musically really belongs to the reality TV show American Idol. It all started with their first winner and now super star, Kelly Clarkson. Her finale song was designed for the first American Idol singer and who can forget the way she sang it! It was such an emotional song and the words seem to ring true for her and her moment.

My challenge is to take any phrase (full or partial) from the song to make it reflect your moment! It can be serious, funny, or dramatic…whatever the feel of the moment. Just be sure to share with us in your title or journaling how you used the phrase.

Our very own Elizabeth G. put forth this challenge to the rest of us in this post But basically now is the time to find that old stash of Christmas themed goodies and get your little journals in order so when it's time to start plopping in pictures and journaling it's a no brainer.

I know CanadianKristin has already made a great jumpstart on her pags, I am hoping she will share those soon!!!!

Tamcan is also eager as is Mary_Pat419

so hopefully we can start sharing our ideas for this and getting our albums put together.


I know December is an especially busy month for me, my dd will be 3, but we will be celebrating early, going to Disney on Ice "100 Years of Magic" and tons of family rotating in and out. So I am anxious to do this.

I guess will you all be paper-scrapping or digi-scrapping, I am having mixed thoughts as now with the SU My Digital Studio program, it's so darn easy to digi-scrap but I still love paper and being able to flip through immediately, so I am leaning towards a 6x6 album perhaps. ANy other thoughts on the best way to handle this?

As soon as I heard the theme for the upcoming VSBN, the song “Old Time Rock & Roll” popped immediately into my head. This song, at least to my generation, is best known from the movie Risky Business.

So the challenge is for you to build a scrap page or double page spread using the Rock and Roll Technique, which can be found in the Resources Section, and also use a “Risky Technique” (i.e. something that has been around, but you have never tried, another Oldie but Goodie)

Some of these “Oldie but Goodie” techniques may include something as simple as:
• Faux Dry Embossing, or in the resources section better known as 3D Stamping
• Baby Wipe Technique
• Faux Shaving Cream
• Kissing Technique
• Painted Pearls
