Join us for an entire day of stamping fun!
I hope you’re planning to join us at our next Central New York Stampin' Get Together. Here’s the info:

Cost – $20.00 per person. Your registration must be paid no later than 5 pm on August 14th. This will give you over 3 weeks to complete your swaps and projects.

**** See below in THIS POST for REGISTRATION FORM!! ****

Mail your registration form and payment to Nancy Baker (address is on the form). There are no refunds, but you may offer your spot to someone else.

Here’s what’s planned.

PLEASE MAKE UP XX KITS!!! (plus ooopsies!!) PLUS 2 COMPLETED! ONE for a sample at your table location, ONE for the Hostess.
Mandatory Swap(s) (just ONE of these is mandatory) –Participating in at least one of these seven swaps is part of the “price” of admission so everyone must participate in a swap (plus the shoebox table project is also required). You can, however, participate in any one, some or all of these swaps.

• NVR Card Front Swap - Final Count XX - See Post # 5.

• Recipe Swap – Final Count XX - Info is in Post # 7.

• ATC Swap – Final Count XX - Check Post # 6.

• Twisted/Humor Cardfront Swap – Final Count XX - See Post # 8.

• 3D Swap – Final Count XX - See Post # 11

• SU only cardfront Swap – Final Count XX - See Post # 9.

• 3 x 3 gift card Swap - Final Count XX - See Post # 10.

************************************
PLEASE MAKE UP XX KITS!!! PLUS 2 COMPLETED!
************************************

Mandatory Shoebox (Table) Project – Bring your idea and all the supplies (precut but not prestamped or prepunched) needed for EVERYONE to make your project the day of the event. Quality products are mandatory. There are several threads that discuss quality of swaps. Please read them if you are unsure. ALL the shoebox projects will be set out in the morning. You will proceed "round robin" to each of them and do ALL PROJECTS. YOU will move, YOUR PROJECT will not. GOOD DIRECTIONS WILL NEED TO BE POSTED ON YOUR SHOEBOX, you will not demo or be around for everyone to ask questions. When our final count is in, you will know how many kits to make. You will need to bring TWO extra completed shoebox projects (which includes a hostess thank you and one for your table so that everyone can follow it for directions). Participation in the table shoebox project is mandatory. This project will generally be a full card, with layers and embellishment(s) or a simple 3D item. Please provide any special adhesive that's needed. Make these something you’d be thrilled to get yourself. When you KNOW what your card or project is, please post a name for it here or send me a PM. We will all have a check off list the day of the event.
You WILL need 2 completed. One for a sample at the table and one for the hostess. I will try to complete all of the projects on the day of the event, but because of the hectic day may not be able to complete them all. HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND ...

Because we will need time to do EVERYONE'S shoebox, we WILL NEED TO LIMIT the number of attendees. It will be 30.

Food – Please indicate on the registration sheet the food item you will bring to share. Please be specific; don’t just say “food”! Ideas: breakfast items, lunch items, including salads, desserts, snacks, canned soda ON ICE and water ON ICE. We love to try your food specialties! We will not have coffee, please plan ahead and bring it along.

“Garage Sale” – Bring your stamps and stamping supplies to sell or trade. Current Stampin’ Up! items must be offered for trade only; you can sell retired items. Sorry but we can’t be responsible for missing items so bring things at your own risk.

Goodie Bags – for everyone! Everyone will leave with a bag of fabulous goodies. The goodie bags will all have the same value with some variations in colors, etc. If you would like to donate to the goodie bags, please let me know. We'd be happy to include a coupon or flyer for everyone.

Door Prizes– We're going to skip door prizes this time. This will give us more time to stamp and "relieve" donors. If you were planning a door prize, please consider donating it to the next gathering. Thank you!!

Gift Swap – You don’t have to sign up for this one, but if you would like to participate, bring a wrapped gift related to our stamping passion. We will draw for those so that everyone who brings one will also leave with one. Value on these should be in the $5-10 range, and stamped projects are always appreciated! If it’s something you’d like to take home, it’s probably perfect! Be sure to include your name somewhere inside so the lucky winner knows who to thank. REMEMBER: Stamping-related!!!

Other Stuff – Please bring your own labeled items for your personal stamping needs, including your favorite adhesive. These are the items you just can’t stamp without, like: bone folder, paper cutter/scorer, scissors, straight edge, stamp cleaner and whatever else you can't stamp without! Did I say adhesive????? Adhesive! You will likely need lots of it.

Make and wear a nametag with your name and your SCS name so that we know you on sight.

Don't forget your camera!

Complete the registration form and forward with your $20 payment by August 14th. All funds collected will be spent on the event, for the room and paper products etc. Your registration is complete when your payment is received. If you have any questions, please ask! Looking forward to seeing you VERY SOON.

As many of you have probably noticed we have added a lot of new products the last few weeks, over 200 to be more exact, and there are more on the way!! We have stamps from Penny Black, new products from American Crafts and Crate Paper arriving soon.
We do realize that our Copic marker selection is in bad shape right now, however that issue is being tackled. We will be carrying the entire Copic Sketch collection and several Copic accessories. Due to the sheer size of the Sketch line we are handling it in sections, E's, B's, BG's and so forth.
There are several other projects on the table right now such as Spellbinders, Tattered Angels, and some new embellishments from Queen and Co. We do appreciate your patience while we go through this "Overhaul", if you have any comments or suggestions please let us know.

I have a request. A friend of a friend's daughter was in a serious accident on Sunday and is in the ICU at Children's hospital. 3 year old Amaya was riding bikes with her 5 year old brother Brayden when they collided. The brake handle punctured into Amaya's throat 3 inches barely missing her trachea and major arteries. She is on a ventilator. If you have no one to send a random card to I ask that you send one to this family. I cannot imagine what Mom is going through. Please keep this family in your prayers!

A friend (who recently lost her husband) just found out her 10 year old grandson, Brady, has a brain tumor. He is having surgery and will have a difficult recovery.

Brady loves cards and would love to know that you are thinking about him. If you have children you can include them by letting them know that a little boy named Brady is sick and a card would help him feel better. Store bought or hand made are wonderful ways to show your support. Brady loves all things Lego's so if you're looking for a theme, that would be a safe bet. I'd love to flood his home/hospital room with 100's of well-wishing cards. I know they would brighten his day and ease his recovery.

Brady also likes the Red Sox, Patriots, and dinosaurs. His address is:

Brady Peabody
30 Woodmere Drive
Trumbull, CT 06611

I'm going to make several cards to send to Brady, but thought I'd put this out there in case anyone else would love to send some cheer to this little guy.
