Default Universal Studios Orlando Express Pass

We are going to Orlando the first week in February and plan on spending 2 days at Universal. All 3 kids are 18 or older. Is it worth spending the extra $$ for the Express Pass? Early Feb is one of the least crowded times of the year at the Orlando theme parks but I know Universal seems to have long lines for their attractions.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

We were just there the week after Thanksgiving. We stayed 1 night at a Universal hotel (Royal Pacific) and received 2 days fast passes - Check in day through Check out day. They were also running a special buy 2 days of Universal tickets, get 1 day free. We stayed in a hotel right outside the park for the first night and used the extra Park ticket for that day.
(rest of the week we stayed in Disney).
The park was not crowded (except Harry Potter world) but we did use the fast passes on most of the rides. Not because they were really necessarily but because we had them. You can not use them on the Harry Potter ride, which is the one ride they are needed.

For me, I hate waiting on those lines, so anything that moves me through them faster is worth it. If we had not stayed inside Universal, I would have bought the fast pass.

Thanks Diane!

I posted this question on FB and received several responses all saying they are worth it.

Since we are going at a slow time of year (early Feb) someone suggested we purchase them after we get to the park. Wait times are posted and we may not need them. I suspect we'll end up purchasing them. I hate lines too!

There are some free apps that show the ride wait times. Also check out this board The DIS Discussion Forums - DISboards.com - Powered by vBulletin Its mainly a disney forum but there is a Universal (dark side) section.
