CA that baby is adorable. I love little kids.

Brat I died laughing with your Hot Flash Babe line!!! Oh I would be so mad at my dog if she did that.

Nothing going on here. I made two cards today. Have to get my stash built back up. My granddaughter took a bunch of cards. All my girls raid my stash.

OK, here's the scoop - just borrowed a QuicKutz die, and sandwiched it up in my Big Shot like this -

Use the Sizzix multipurpose platform WITH Tabs 1 & 2 on top, I put one B Plate next, then the QuicKutz die with the Card Stock you are cutting, then the other B Plate on top - depending on the thickness of your cardstock, you might have to add a piece of printer paper or something to get a clean cut - easier than doing a nestie, because it is not as thick and doesn't make a sound like a "crack" when it goes through! Easy peasy, Kathy! Try one of the ones that you might like to see if this works for you!!

Brat Girl - can't believe your dog is still alive after eating Vanessa's cake with all the work you put into it - most people would want to run them off after a trick like that!! Oh, and I loved your Hot flash Babe's advice (I had a neighbor once tell me that I shouldn't run - I might get 2 black eyes - LOL)

CA, sorry I haven't been on today - had a bunch to do and still not done - just taking a break!! I have Hostess club this Sunday, but will be gone all day on Saturday for the Allentown stamp show - I'm gonna get to give Lesley a big squeeze at the show for all of you!!

OK< break's over - back to work!! Hugs to everyone!!

Tater, I hope it went okay with your mom. I'm praying.

When my aunt that I grew up next door to and even lived with for awhile was going through Alzheimer's and didn't want to leave her home it was so sad.

I told my mom that when it comes to her nearing burning down her house, getting lost and being dangerous that I am not going to deny it - I'm gonna throw her skinny buns over my shoulder and haul her out! She said she hopes that I will. I just hope she remembers that!

She told me when I was a teenager that if she ever started wearing polyester pants with a fake seam down the front and/or white Velcro shoes it was time to haul her buns to a home! I am holding her to it! Ha - Ha, I informed her one day that socks with sandals would also get her hauled in!

I must say my oldest keeps an eye on my shoes too! She just doesn't want me to embarrass her!

HAHAHA - that's over at my Julie's - she has the best house for getting together as a crowd - we just all bring something so she is not doing all the work -

Daria had a juice box and that silly grin like "I got a juice box and you can't ha-ave none!" If you tell her to smile - she usually wrinkles up her widdle nose - so we tell her to smile pretty and she is almost to the point of POSING, and staying still till we snap it - then she wants to SEE her picture! - how vain is this kid!!

Anyone hear how Tater made out with her Mom on Easter? Praying that up big time too!

Oh, I have to post a last minute HUGE prayer request for another thing going on down with the Florida gang. You are the best prayer warriors around, so I know I can count on you Sistahs!! Thanks a million -

Sorry I have been MIA so much - there is a lot going on in my family right now!! I am keeping all of you in my prayers too!!

Hugs to all my Sistahs!!

Praying for your Florida gang. Don't know what it's about, but HE does!

Yes, I'm anxious to know what happened with Tater's mom, too. I feel it's easier to break that sort of news when they are not in their own home at the time. My mom wasn't. She was in Life Care for physical therapy, etc. She just wanted to come home and didn't care where that was. She still says things like, "Well, I better get going home now." We have to remind her, "You ARE home." It's hard.

WHAT??? Sandals with SOCKS! That is a stereotype of Pacific North-Westerners! You have to grow a long braid and never shave your legs if you do that!!! You also have to wear a jumper from time to time with the socks and sandals. Oh, and you have to be horribly, far, far left liberal. (Please don't tell me you are! I would still love you as Twisted Sistahs - but I would be wondering about how your minds work! Ladies - it is sandals or shoes with socks - ESPECIALLY if it is raining! Which it is here a huge amount of the time.

Okay, I willing to picture your Velcro shoes are somehow snappy looking and fashionable. Perhaps some Sharpie racing stripes of some sort could be added!

LOL! I wear Vans most of the time because they slip on, so I don't have to tie the laces. Arthritis causes lace tying to hurt too much to want to do that very often! LOL! I don't wear socks very often for the same reason.

Okay CA - Vans are just cool. I don't think I've seen the slip on kind though. Privo's by Clark have some slip on styles and are really comfy. I only buy them on sale though. I wore the nubs right off the bottoms of my favorite pair! Are footies hard to put on with arthritis too? My pointer finger was swelling yesterday and is painful today. I hope it's not arthritis yet. I don't turn 50 until the end of the summer!

I just looked up Vans slip ons. I had only seen the guy kind. They have some cute shoes.

Enough of this! I am not REALLY the shoe police! I do like lots of shoes I can't afford though. I only like to be comfy too. I did my time in heels and that is over!

I Googled Coach sneakers and now I am picturing you with high tops and orange, green, brown and blue striped interiors folded over. OR maybe those silver and hot pink runners.

Ladies,
Thanks for all the info. However, I dropped them in the post this morning for Brat. I hope she finds a use for them. After years of wearing only high (3-4 inch spikes) heels, I vote for comfy shoes. Ladies, hugs to you all. K.

You have to be stinking KIDDING me - the prices on those COACH sneakers - I almost CHOKED when I saw that -
.
I have NEVER been a high heels person - God bless all of you who have done that - Kathy, CA, and Terri!! Probably Shirt and Lesley too!

My job was walking on concrete all day until I started at the credit union, so I have worn sneakers most of my working life, and since then too - I am not a sandals person - I wear Crocs at the campground! But NO VELCRO sneakers! LOL!

The highest price I have ever paid for Sneakers was About $45 for my Ryka's and I got them from QVC - a woman's shoe - designed and made by a woman - and the only shoe I never had to break in - I have tried others - Avia and Fila - but they do not measure up - and Reebok and Nike are ridiculously uncomfortable for me. All those years of walking on concrete ruined my feet, and of course I am due to get a pair now- I am sure they cost more now too! Shucks, look at the price of food - I used to feed my four kids on $45 a week - now I can't even do that for just me!!

Okay, so I Googled the Ryka's you can get some good deals and there are lots out there.

Here are my shoes: Dr. Scholl's Shoes, Jennie Sneakers - Dr. Scholl's - Shoes - Macy's

I didn't get them at Macy's; this was just an easy picture to grab. I got them on sale and with free shipping. I shopped around. The are SO comfortable. I didn't even know Dr. Scholl's had cute shoes like this.

CA, I hope those shoes came with someone to tie them for you or that you got them on sale! But, hey - we all have our thangs! I'll bet they are very comfy and match your purse!

I once got a stress fracture partying it up in 4 inch heels dancing at a wedding. I had worked for an ortho surgeon that had TOLD me that I should not wear shoes like that, but I had to experience it myself! I tried to wear high heels to a wedding a couple summers ago. It was ridiculous how I walked in them after so many years. I wore them once and gave them to my DD. I still laugh at myself. I must have been thinking, "It's better to look good than to feel good Darhing." Temporary insanity I tell you!

Kathy - thank you in advance. I sure hope you don't regret using them for blog candy! I'm very excited about the leaves especially!

The Coach shoes were $59 plus tax and shipping. I'm hoping that this will encourage me to tie them! LOL! It's hard to find anything under $50 these days. Greenie is right; you should see what I pay for groceries!! I went to CostCo yesterday and spent $172!! That doesn't count all those trips to WalMart or Scolari's for fresh vegies, cereals, bread or milk!

Okay, so my taste sometimes is not the norm for my peers. Fifteen years ago before the cat shaped glasses made a comeback, I found a pair in a collectable store. I wasn't looking for them; they just found me. They were black with silver edges and little silver roses. I had my Rx put in them and they were so cute and fun. People either loved them or hated them. My bosses who were and are my long time friends hated them. A gal using one of our offices loved them. Anyway, one day I sat on them! I was dating DH by then. He can fix ANYTHING. Well, we looked all sad and said he couldn't fix them. I now believe this was NOT true. We tease about that; he still insists they could not be fixed. HA!

Anyway, I actually get a good laugh when my friends tease me. I think it's fun! Usually I am pretty normal, but sometimes something just strikes my fancy. If I like it then I don't care if others do not. I don't like the "I'm nearly 50 trying to look 25 look, so, now if I see a pair of boots that are fabulous, but not right for me - I can buy them for my 9-year-old DD!

Check these out! Converse Kids Chuck TaylorŪ All StarŪ Weather Boot Hi (Toddler/Youth) Pinklady/Sparkle - 6pm.com. Vanessa has the black sparkle boots!

Gotta work. First I had no time to make cards. Now I have no mojo! It's much slower this week...

Congratulations, Greenie!!! You are correct!!

Sir James Matthew Barrie, was a Scottish author and dramatist, best remembered today as the creator of Peter Pan. He wrote Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up, a "fairy play" about this ageless boy and an ordinary girl named Wendy who have adventures in the fantasy setting of Neverland. This play quickly overshadowed his previous work and although he continued to write successfully, it became his best-known work, credited with popularising the name Wendy, which was very uncommon previously.

First of all Greenie I am praying for your Fla gang. Then that Daria is adorable. Is some of that devilish smile from her Grandma?! I mean I just have a feeling...jk!

Brat I liked the shoes, I'd wear them. My heel days are over too. I had to dress professional for so many years I ruined my feet in them. I do miss getting dressed up w/o heels though.

Things have been quiet for me which is just fine with me.

It's cold here. Supposed to be down to 28 tonight. So no telling what it will do to all the trees and flowers. If it does get that low a lot of things will be killed off.

Greenie those herb stakes are cute. Diana Gibbs had something like that on her blog.

Tudaloo girls.

Default Trivia Question

What percent of the people on board the Titanic survived?

Sorry I'm so late, but I've been gone all day. Took my mom to the nail salon, and we both got our nails done. I can type faster now! I'm also dealing with her house. We just got new renters who will be moving in this weekend. I've been getting things fixed and ready for them to move in.

Sue, you answered a question with this post...that I was going to ask when I signed on.
I was wonderring if you and Lesley were still planning on going to the Stamp show on Saturday...
I plan on going with Cherie, and Kathi again (I was with them at the last stamp show. (Where Lesley met all three of us) I hope to see Lesley again
and finally get to meet you Sue. Do you know if anyone else from Splitcoast will be there?

Jill
PS. Ladies, I promise not to wear my sandals with socks, or my Velcro shoes, so I don't embarrass anyone! smile
