Punk, thanks for the heads up on my TSC card title! My ring finger on my right hand doesn't know what it's doing sometimes! I often hit the 3 instead of the 6 or the 6 instead of the 9!! (That's on the number pad, of course)
Hi everybody. I was gone the biggest part of the day. My daughter had a lab and she has had cancer for quite sometime. It was a tumor about the size of a mans fist on her head. She has been on paid meds for months but has been fine until a few days ago. She was in pain so they had the vet come over today and put her down. My daughter has no children. She cannot have any so she puts all her love into her pets. So I went over there this morning and waited until the vet came and left. I felt so sorry for her and my SIL. They buried her at her favorite tree. I came home and made a little card to send them. That's why I was so late getting my comments on the TSC cards.
My computer is running like a snail. I'm running a scan on it now.
Peter Pan might have been annoyed but not afraid. Sciaphobia is the fear of shadows! Peter Pan was not afraid of his shadow; he just had a hard time keeping it in place! So, Greenie is right!!
This is so cute! Hubby and I enjoyed it! Wish we could get our fur babies to do that!

The first patent on a ballpoint pen was issued on October 30, 1888, to John Loud, a leather tanner, who was attempting to make a writing instrument that would be able to write on his leather products, which then-common fountain pens could not do. Loud's pen had a small rotating steel ball, held in place by a socket. Although it could be used to mark rough surfaces such as leather, as Loud intended, it proved to be too coarse for letter writing and was not commercially exploited.
Hey gals! This SU! demo needs some help and advice. Where do you find inspiration for your Stamp Clubs? Whose blogs do you follow? For the past hour or so, I have been browsing through SCS, gallery, SU! gallery and all of the differnt catagories, but nothing has popped for me. There isn't much updated in some of those catagories. I did find a Thomas the Train punch art card that the blogger wanted $2.95 for! I didn't realize that people charged for things like that. Eye opener!
Anyway, I really need help here. Should I forget SCS and just go search on the SU! site? What do you do?

I get ideas from SCS more than SU! Usually, I decide what stamp set I want to use. Then, I go into the SU! Gallery and look up that set. I get more ideas from that than anything else I've tried. I also use the catalogs for ideas and Stampin' Success.

Hey Lesley,
I agree with CA - if you are looking for ideas for a specific set - go to SCS - SU galleries and then to the set you want to use - there are TONS of ideas there - and simple enough for clubs and classes. If you see something that you need help figuring out, link it up and email it to me - I can usually figure things out, even when there is no tutorial - you don't have to pay a blogger if you can do it yourself!!

Thank you, my friends! Have either of you used one of the letterpress's? I still don't have a Big Shot yet.....I'm still using my Cuttlebug. I need to see if I can figure out a CB sandwich for the letterpress. It should work in there, don't ya think?

I haven't ordered any of the letter presses and haven't used a Cuttlebug in almost four years, so I don't think I can help you on that one. I got my Big Shot right after convention in July of 2008! I sold my Cuttlebug right after that. Maybe Greenie will know.
You all are so helpful.......('cept maybe CA on this one....heehee!!!)....I can't thank you enough!!!! MUAH!!!!!

yes, it should - does the letterpress plate FIT in the cuttlebug (I mean the width of the plate) since you only have the big thick white A plate, I would try it with the tan embossing pads that you use to emboss with Spellbinders nesties, and maybe ONE B plate - doesn't it give you any instructions on the package? OR you could try it with multiple layers of cardstock till you get the right look if you don't have the tan rubber embossing pads (OR you could pick up square rubber gasket sheets at Home Depot (6" square = pack of 2) they are cheaper- they are red rubber, kind of like stamp rubber. any more questions, feel free to ask them - I will try - dont have a CB anymore either, but will look up on google while I am waiting to hear from you!

OK< Lesley - I found one that takes you step by step through making the correct sandwich for the CBug with the texture plates - she is using a Fiskars, but I believe it is the same as the SU ones - You WILL however need the Spellbinders tan embossing pads that she shows to do it properly - let me know how you make out, sweetie!
I'm sorry I couldn't help, Punk, but Greenie sure is on the ball! I've been reading what's going on here on the bus, plus I went to that thread about the Letterpress plates and the Cuttlebug. I haven't watched the video though. Anyway, I'm pretty close to taking up a collection to get you a Big Shot! LOL!!!
Sil, so sorry about your daughter's Lab. I am a critter lover and I too do not have children so I get REALLY attached to my four legged family. I think she will appreciate your card and it is very sweet of you to think of doing that for her.
Les, Greenie is taking you in the right direction! Smart ain't she! I love my Big Shot and have several different methods of making things work. I keep the cardboard backing to tablets and paper stacks to use as extra layers. When they wear out just toss them in the recycle pile. I'm with Jan.......still waiting for the challenge. This afternoon I go have a skin cancer removed.......little nervous about it.
