Greenie, we still have another interview to get through, but that won't be until sometime next week when she gets back from vacation. After that's done, she has to write up her report and have it approved by her supervisor. Her supervisor likes to edit, so there will be some rewriting. Once everything is done and approved, she will call and make an appointment for an inspection. That may take two trips. Once inspected and approved, I will get my license!! It's really hard to become a foster parent in this state!! I think a lot of people would give up by now. Only the strong survive!! LOL!!

Well, CA, you are a strong woman with all you have survived in your life and still do - praying that if God wants you to be a foster parent, and I am sure you would be a good one, you come through with flying colors!! lymi!

Going downstairs to clean up my mess from making my MMTPT card. I don't know how but I make such a mess. I have pretty big plastic box full of embellishments. Most of it is just rhinestones, pearls etc. Nothing big but lots of it. Then I have another box full of flowers etc etc. I seem to have boxes and stamps all over the floor around my table. I am a slob when I stamp!

Thanks, Sylvia, I am going to attempt unmounting some stamps and using the tombo first before I go and buy something else, but nice to know it is right there - duh - should have thought of that myself! lol

Good morning, riders!! Happy hump day!! No snow yet. Record high temps here!! The old record for January 2 was 58; on Monday it was 69!! Today and tomorrow it's supposed to be in the mid 60's. Sheesh! It's supposed to be winter! OK, I vented! LOL! Maddie will be here in a few minutes. Then, my day REALLY begins!

OH, big news!!! Eddie and I picked out a new dining room set yesterday after his appointment!! I'm giving my old set to Alicia. The new one is supposed to be here on the 18th. Because Jacob's last day here for a while is the 16th, (He goes to basic training in Georgia on the 17th) I asked if they could pick up the old set on the 14th or 15th. We'll have to use a card table and folding chairs for a few days! That will make getting my new set even more wonderful!! LOL!

Sounds wonderful, CA, I am very happy for you - bet Alicia is happy to get your other one, and I guess Eddie is very honored to be asked his opinion in picking out the new set! It will be exciting for you, I am sure, to get something new for your dining room!! YAY!

Thanks, Greenie!! Eddie was really good at giving some input to help with my decision. I asked him what he thought about the set we seemed to have settled on or should I go to more stores and look further, and he told me he thought we should get that set. We did.

We wanted chairs with no rungs because those have been a pain for over 11 years. We also wanted chairs with no cloth. If we're going to have foster kids, we wanted to avoid having to constantly clean stains off of upholstery. We found a set that fit the bill, but it was more expensive than I expected by about $400. Eddie said I could borrow money from his account. I told him I'd pay it back next month. He's a good boy.

CA that is so nice you got new furniture! Isn't that fun?

Just wanted to say good morning sisters. I have a busy day ahead of me.

CA you inspired me with the scripture you gave us on NY day. Here is a great one.

The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. Ps:18:2
Bless you all. May your day be filled with love and beauty and may the Holy Spirit guide our day.

Answer: The largest snowflake in recorded history was reported at Fort Keogh, Montana, on January 28, 1887, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. The snowflake was reportedly 15 inches wide and 8 inches thick. The person who found the snow flake, ranch owner Matt Coleman, described it as "larger than milk pans."

Garsh! Good thang it didn't hit 'im on the haid!! LOL!!

Besides, I didn't know they had Guinness Book of World Records in 1887!! LOL! I'll have to check that!!

After checking, Guinness Book of Records first published in 1954; however, they did compile facts from dates prior to the first publication. Gotta get MY facts straight ya know! LOL!!

Why that snowflake would knock you silly!

Sometimes when I hear or read things that Guiness recorded I think who in the world would even think of that! I bought one of those books for my nephew a few years ago and I sat and read it Christmas day.

CA we need snow or rain. It's really dry around here and we had such a drought this last summer. They said the ground was completely dry down to 5 feet. Now we need rain. We need snow. It has minerals in it that the ground needs to grow the crops. I would like to see it get cold and stay that way to kill off the insects. I want snow with the cold weather. This is such an odd winter. It is 47 now. We heat our house with wood and it gets too hot sometimes. Today I have the sliding glass doors open up and downstairs along with windows. I like fresh air.

Well I need to go make salads. We are having lasagne for supper. Man thats a lot of work!

Silly, when I make lasagna, I get the ones from CostCo! LOL! It IS a lot of work taking it out of the freezer, pre-heating the oven and putting it in there! LOL! Tastes pretty good though!!! I just don't go through all the steps to prepare it from scratch anymore.

Because you don't make lasagna?! It's his loss! We know how wonderful you are. Just ask us!

Good morning sisters. It is supposed to be up to 60 degrees here today. Blows my mind. I have lived here 36 years and it has never been like this. I like the weather but it is so abnormal. I am afraid what global warming is going to do to our planet.

Well everyone have a great day. Hey CA got another fact for us today?
I have another scripture that is joyful.

Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.
They shall bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing. PS 92:13-14.

Silly......I like the "they shall be fat and flourishing" part of that verse.......That's me! LOL! THanks so much for the scripture. That is a good one and very reassuring to those who put our trust in the Lord.

Awesome scripture!!!! Silvia, we are very dry here too even though we have had rain about two weeks ago. Our drought continues too so, I'm with you, let it snow/sleet/rain/some form of moisture will be appreciated. Hard to see on the ol puter today; my eyes are dialated. Just my annual eye exam. One of the three things I give myself as a birthday present. What was different this year is I have changed Dr.s who are closer to where I live and it has been a struggle. I so appreciate my physicians I used to have but it doesn't make sense for me to drive an hour when I could see one closer to us. My dermatologist did a "scraping" and it came back as cancer so I will be going back Monday. I figured this would start happening as I am a freckel face red head and I got sunburned a lot as a kid. Gotta get on my laundry and then go see Mom. Y'all have a wonderful day!

Tater how will they treat it? I was born a red head and stayed that way the first year of life then turned dark brown. One more shade and it would have been black but I too have lots of freckles and moles. I got sunburned a lot to going to the beach. So thats always been a bit of a concern for me too.

Lesley I like that part of the scripture too!!

Greenie must be off somewhere because she hasn't been on here.

Well off to do some more work around here. Yuck. I am just not in the mood. I feel down right lazy today. I've had to push myself to do anything today.
