OK, here is my first posting of photos. These are the Christmas trees I made from broken/mismatched jewelry.
Beautiful!!!! Simply beautiful!!!! I LOVE these trees! You are so talented, my sweet gal! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks you all for playing along in the challenge this week! I SOOO appreciate it, especially since I haven't been making many cards lately! I did make two today, though. The Hubster had some company so I had the dogs upstairs in the craft room......what else was I supposed to do except to make a card, right? Then, hubby was settled in the recliner and watching a 'boring war' movie so I sneaked back up to the craft room to make yet another card. I used the doily stamp from SU!.....So pretty!
Now, I'm bored. It's too late to go upstairs again, hubby is asleep in recliner, pouring cats and dogs outside and flooding EVERYWHERE, Phillies rained out and nothing but my puter to keep me company. The doggies are even asleep! I have to take them out a little later in this mess! Yikes!
Keep dry, everybody!

Greenie, a tutorial???? Well, I can tell you how I did it and then you can add your own twists. First I have to tell y'all that I got the idea from an example I saw at a friend's home last Christmas time. She let me take a photo of it and that's what I used as a guide. Years ago I had ordered thin, Artist grade, ply wood and used this as the base and form of the trees. I cut the plywood to the size of the frames (purchased at yard sales, Craft stores on sale, etc.) and then painted them with black acrilic paint. I drew two different sized trees and then cut them from the same wood and painted them with gold paint. After the paint dried, I glued the gold shapes onto the center of the black pieces. Keep in mind that you need to allow room around the edges for the plywood to fit snuggly into the size frame you have. I had to do some chizzeling and a few ugly words popped out now and then..............just sayin. The fun part begins when you have collected all the jewelry and can start cutting apart the pieces and creating your design. I used a glue from Hobby Lobby and did the cutting with small wire cutters. A friend found most of the jewelry for me at flea markets. I also got a lot from family & friends and even some I found in parking lots. Yes, I pick up change, jewelry pieces, most anything shiney!!!! I also outlined the shapes with B B chain but I don't know if you just have to do that; I just happened to have it on hand and used it. The two frame sizes are 8X10 and 5X7 but you could do what ever size you want. Give it a try and do the different steps in stages.

Hey Sistahs!
A *new* Bus? All shiny and new? How sweet! Move over Brat, I am next to you on the top, and have our latte's ready!
Whadda week! Work seemed so harsh after a week of heaven in Wyoming. Sweet Jonathan is precious. His lil personality has bloomed and we are sooo in love! Jamie is the best lil mama ever, and Jason is a great dad too. We are so proud of them!
The weather was perfect and after breakfast each day we'd take Jonny for a stroll downtown- which is only two blocks form the kid's home. Cody is small, and along the way we would see deer on the front lawns. It is an amazing place and we cannot wait til we are able to move.
Here are a few pix from last week:
I have a lot of catching up to do, and will get to your galleries asap! I have been reading the prayer concerns, and have you all on my heart.
Much love!
Pat

What a lovely 'snuggle' pic. That is a scrapbook page if I ever saw one!!! Wonderful! I miss those days as even my grandbaby is 7 and doesn't always want to snuggle anymore! I'm so glad that you got to see your family. Welcome back, Sissy! I have missed you!

Well, you KNOW which of those photos is MY FAV!!!! Call y'all the Snuggle Bunnies for sure. I bet Jason (who by the way looks just like his DAD!) and Jamie are talking bad about y'all ..........leaving them with a spoiled baby to deal with!!!!! Wicked laughter here...I am so thankful you and the Buckle Dude got to make the trip and returned home safely. When dealing with a grueling week at work Sista, just remember in your heart that feeling you get when you hold that little man. It will make all the rest of the "stuff" seem silly.

This is Steve that I am asking you to pray for so that you have a face to the name. His daughter just FB'd me this picture. I will treasure it always.

Pat those pictures are so sweet. I agree with Lesley that snugglin picture is a scrapbook page waiting to happen! I'm glad you got to be with your children.
CA congrats! Now I need to go check out the card. I have got to get caught up with everyone's galleries. You got all done with your Foster Parent classes didn't you? So when should you get a child? Do you eat wheaties for breakfast? I don't know where you get all the energy to care for your Mom and Eddie and soon some children. But good for you!
Tater I talked to my Uncle yesterday, he lives in Dallas and he said it was cool at night and he was so happy about it. They were showing pictures on the news a couple of days ago about the fires. It's just sad to see whats going on in Texas.
Lesley that's so nice you got that picture. Praying for Jesus to open Steve's heart and mind to his love and mercies. I'm so sorry about your Step Daughter. Glad your man is doing good.
Sue are you getting caught up from being gone.
Shirt I couldn't leave any comments on the CCEE blog because my firewall had me blocked out from commenting. I did get it fixed and left a short message on Kathy's blog.
Brat where are you????
Kathy I need to go check out your blog to see what cards you have made lately. I haven't seen any in the galleries. I know you're making them I just missing them. I have made 15 cards in the last two weeks. I was so glad to get to stamp again when I got home from my trip! w/o my computer and no stamping for 10 days had me going through withdrawls!

Thank you, Silly. Yes, I'm done with the foster care training. I have to get a physical which will be on October 14th plus I have to get a TB test. I still have some paperwork to fill out and I have lots of things to copy. It's quite a process in this state. Once I get the TB Test, the physical, gather up all the paperwork, I have to send it to the State. They check everything out. If it's approved, the licensing worker will come to do the home inspection. After that, if I take care of anything that needs to be taken care of, I will get a license. Then, I'll be put on a list of foster parents, then, I would get calls from workers if they have a child that would fit. I'm more partial to Cherrios, LOL! After taking care of my mom and Eddie, what's one or two more? LOL!

Hello Riders! I'm making my treat bags for Halloween. You might think it's a little early, but I'm making about 150 of them! First, I saved some of the brown packing paper from my last Stampin' Up! order. This morning, Alicia and I straightened it out and cut it into more manageable pieces which I ironed to get it even straighter. Then, I folded those pieces and cut them into 10 inch pieces which I folded in half and ran through the Big Shot with the Scallop Square Die. Next, I glued the sides together and crimped them. I stamped the trick-or-treating owl from the hostess set in the Holiday Mini, punched out the owls with the owl punch and punched out the yellow moons. I added the punched pieces to the bags I made and then put candy in them. I stapled them shut and put my SU! Demonstrator label on the back (advertising). I still have lots to do, but I'm getting a head start. You can see them on my blog. Have a wonderful night and tomorrow, my friends!!!

Oh my gosh, Sistahs, just got an update on Milo and Tess, the premature twins born last December who survived all the odds because of your prayers. Take a look at these little Angels - observe the power of our Mighty God!!
First, I’m thankful for 2 monitors . . . read on one and write on the other LOL
I’ve been off sticking great big huge flower power stickers all over the bus. It’s so purdy.
Lesely . . . so sorry to hear the news about your stepdaughter. Good to hear hubby is on the mend. I’m not one to just sit around either so I feel his frustration. I’d be climbing the walls.
Tate . . . . . the Christmas trees are fantastic! Wow! Whooda thunkit?
Shirt . . . I’ll go leave some love in that gallery as soon as I’m done here. Thanks for the heads up.
Pat . . . that little man is adorable! Such huge eyes wow I can’t stop looking at him LOL Love Love LOVE the one of the two of you! I wondered where you disappeared to. I guess now I know LOL Welcome back!
CA . . . congrats!!! Do a little pirouette n curtsey for us will ya? Lookin forward to seeing your Halloween treat bags. Sounds interesting.
Brat . . . happy belated!!!
Now for me? I’ve been stupidly busy. Unpacking boxes that have been packed for years and sorting through it all. Working a 2nd job for a little mad money. I helped my daughter paint her garage trim. The colour she chose is CIL Kiwi Hugs (or something like that). It practically glows! LOL It looks fantastic! For the house she’s chosen Desert Orange. Better than the fuschia that’s on there now. Then the last couple of days I’ve been hanging shelves in the garage and sorting out the stuff that’s still in there from the last clean up. I hung tons of tool hooks. Fell off the ladder one and a half times. The half time was when I saved myself half way down LOL Dropped the hammer on my foot. Got a nice bruise from that and rammed my shin into something sharp and have a gash from that. But everything is done! The rafters are full now LOL DH is gonna pitch a fit when he sees all this but I figure if he’d done it himself, I wouldn’t have had to. Then this morning as I was leaving for work, I took a header down the garage stairs. My poor body can’t take much more of this abuse. My neighbours put their house up for sale so I figured I’d best go out and try to make my yard look better for their benefit. I really do not enjoy yard work at all LOL
Keeping everyone in my thoughts today. Have a gooder!
