HI everyone. I had no idea where to post this topic, so I'm putting it here.
Please feel free to move it if it is in the wrong area.
Every year our volunteer fire dept has a couple of dinners. The two big ones are in the spring. I need to come up with at least 3 ideas for centerpieces for the tables.
Please keep in mind, our fire dept is primarily a male envoirnment. Although it's the woman that take it home, I do not want something all frilly and feminine.
Am I making sense here?
Here are some of my past centerpieces:
Attached four frames together to form a box, put the fire dept info on velumn inside the frame and put a tea lite inside the box and it glowed.
Glass blocks with holiday designs
Hershey kiss rose bouquet
Wine bottles labled with fd info and put a tea lite on top inside a flame stopper.
Chocolate covered oreos in a bag., Each bag had a letter on it and was arranged to read, AMITYVILLE FIRE DEPT in a bouquet.
Terra cotta pots arranged in a way to make candy dishes painted with designs on them.
That's the one's I can think of.
I'd really really appreciate any help anyone can offer.
It has been a long time but Michaels used to have inexpensive teddy bears. Perhaps you could craft a fire hat or some other fireman paraphernalia for the teddy bear. Or if you are really creative maybe you could make a fire hydrant and fill it with candy.
Yes, it was for a child's party, but the ideas are still terrific.
