Default Scratch-PROOF not just resistant glasses lenses

Can someone out there PLEASE invent plastic lenses for eyeglasses that are scratch-PROOF and not just scratch-resistant?? I know that such a thing does not exist today. Why not?? I don't know anything about plastics...

I know that glass is harder to scratch, but it still gets scratches.

I would happily pay $1000 for scratch-resistant lenses, and I am lower-middle class!!!

By scratch-proof, I mean I just want lenses that won't get all scratched up when I dry them with coarse paper towels or my shirt fabric (which is not 100% cotton).

If anyone's kid is looking for a science project maybe he or she can use this as a starting point. I don't see adults doing anything like this anytime soon. Grrr. On a recent airplane ride, I actually sat next to an employee of an eyeglass company (he was on his way to a convention for his company) and I asked him to tell his research and development department to do this. He changed the subject. LOL

Another thing I want someone to invent is dish soap that can clean plastic (like tupperware or rubbermaid) as easily as it cleans glass or porcelain.

Yeah! While they're at it, maybe invent some filters for re-usable keurig cups? And someday I would like to go to a supermarket that has a cart corral at the furthest part of the parking lot. These are just the first things that popped up.

I wish they would invent lenses that would pop out and fit into other frames. This way we could have a variety of glasses to wear. The Lenses is what is expensive. And yes, the lenses have to be scratch proof!

I hear you on the lenses. My youngest daughter has had her glasses since just before she turned one. You can only imagine what her glasses look like. Babies and glasses are not a good mix. Thankfully she is extremely far sighted and doesn't even seem to notice the tooth marks from the last dog - glasses adventure.

Huh!! Oh my lenses pop out all right!!!!! My toddler nephew accidentally sat on them. Thank goodness I was able to pop them back in!!

But yeah, there are Miche bags; can't they make Miche-like glasses??

On my older glasses, I used to pop out the lenses all the time, to clean the green gunk that accumulated around the edges and the nosepads.

She was tilting her head back much as you would if you needed reading glasses. She has a 6.5 correction in her lenses now but really is an 8.5. Her eyes now cross really bad as soon as she takes off her glasses. Poor kid. I will say she looks pretty cute in her specs.

I am too lazy to use carts at the supermarket. If it can't fit in my arms, I usually just wait 'til the next time. Once in a while I'll use a basket.

Wow! How did the ophthalmologist (had to google that to get the spelling right) know what correction was needed?

Awww, I bet she looks cute. My niece and nephews loved wearing my glasses too (for seconds at a time because I need them) and they looked like cute little nerds.
