For sale item poster gone bad

I saw a posting on another site where someone was selling a barely used Making Memories Slice machine. I contacted her, waited 3 days for a reply and yes she still had it and would sell & ship it to me ( I would of course pay shipping) Well, she had dilly dallied and never has sent her address for payment, etc. Numerous emails have gone unanswered. The problem is I was getting this for my granddaughter. she had wanted one so badly and this was a reasonable price I could afford. I have looked high and low for one around me to no avial.
I am just venting as I don't understand how people can do this. she wanted to sell it, I wanted to buy it and even offered a bit more money for the item itself as well as pay shipping.................so sad.

You're very lucky you didn't send money and then have no communication with the seller. As disappointing as it is, it could have been worse. Could you possibly give your granddaughter money towards a Slice? Maybe she could come up with a portion of the money herself even if she has to wait a little while.

I agree. A lot of people actually send money and then realize they're being ignored or scammed. After waiting the first 3 days I'm not sure I would have trusted this person anyway.

Have you checked eBay? Payments are always secure and a lot of sellers actually have decent return policies. I've sold and bought items and have never had a problem. Just check the seller ratings before you commit.

I would be very irritated too. You thought you could make your granddaughter happy, but your time was just wasted. Grrr!

I would be more than irritated. Why do people engage in this kind of nonsense?! It's a waste of everyone's time.

If your near an Archiver's all the slice products were 50% off this past weekend. I think they might be phasing it out. Hope you find it!
