Default Repurposing a tv armoire

Not sure where to post this but you all have such great ideas that I hope you can help.....
Our tv has bit the dust...... it is SEVENTEEN years old! So we are going to get a new one but the armoire that we bought over 17 years ago will not accomodate the newer, wider tvs. So we will get an inexpensive stand for the new tv but now we have a big heavy beautiful piece of furniture and need ideas. I am all about using what you have, not filling up the landfills, etc.
I could move it to the kitchen where I have a wall with nothing on it. It would fit there. I am thinking I would like to make a coffee bar there, with pull out shelves to hold the Keurig coffeemaker and k-cups, maybe hooks for cups, etc. On the sides of the armoire are narrow doors and there are five roll-out thingies that hold video tapes. I would like to have some kind of pull-out hangers here for tablecloths....
Can you give me ideas? what you think? have any of you ever done anything like this? Are there websites that would help?
Really, any help you can offer is so appreciated!!!!

I put our old TV armoire in my craft room--if you have room for it, it sure holds a lot of stuff!

Do you have a picture of it you could post? I too moved mine into my craft room, it only needed a few modifications to do what I wanted it to.

I think making it into a coffee bar sounds great!

Good for you on repurposing the armoire. The coffee bar sounds great. That would free up some counter space and add a gorgeous focal point to your kitchen. Will be a beautiful addition to the room.

Very cool idea! As mentioned, I first thought of a craft cupboard but a coffee bar sounds great! I like reusing too. A lot of things around our house were once something else.

Here's a couple of pics...
We attached a few Ikea rods on the exterior side of the armoir to hold my punches.

I think the coffee bar sounds great, but also love the craft room use.

Default look at that westie!!!

This has nothing to do with repurposing or coffee bars but what a good-looking westie! We are on our second westie.... this one is a three year old who seems to need a LOT of attention!
