Default Raccoons in the attic. Maybe

Oh, DEAR! For a while now, we (or the dogs) have heard/seen raccoons around the back of our house. I wasn't sure where they were during the day. Hadn't seen evidence in our attic, although I didn't look into the deep corners. Our heads sleep against the wall close to our neighbor's fence. We've heard them scrabble up the fence, on the roof; one night I went out and the dog chased a couple of them up a tree. So today, as I was cleaning up the yard at that side of the yard, I saw a hole in the corner of our roof. I'm scared to even look where that hole is in the attic. What to do?!

You better call someone ASAP - they are very destructive and they can cause fires if they get into your wiring, not to mention expensive repairs.

They are nocturnal, so you could plug the hole during the daylight hours and then see if you think there's anything trapped in the attic.

definitely. my husband has become very apathetic. about everything. which means this is on me. i think i know of someone i can call. my only comfort is i haven't heard them in at least a week. doesn't mean they aren't there anymore, just that i can hope they are!
