I hope you have a good day tomorrow Soni. Sorry you're plans had to change.
However, he sure got an energy rush today! After the last 2 1/2 days of calm, laying around watching tv, playing legos, it was like all the bottled up energy hit at once.
yes she knows about the heart issue...he told her today the congestion she feels is not her lungs, it is the fluid around her heart... so she was not clear about that... and with her not able to walk, that fluid is more dangerous, so Bill has orders to have her up walking with a walker...she has the new one with a seat and wheels that Donnie had gotten for DADDY... pain or not she has to get mobile... in a healthy way
I'm glad that she's able to get up and around a bit with the walker. It's so sad they have to go through this. More prayers for them.
I updated my blog again tonight. I have so many cards that I've made this week and I only like to post one a day. I still have one more to get on there, but I'll do that one tomorrow.
I did some blog hopping leaving comments for some of my fellow DT members. Went through all the TPT cards for this week and left a comment on each one! That took some time.
I still have about 1/2 hour. I think I'll go in my stamp room and get a little organizing done.
morning, Ladies! Maggie, thanks for starting the new thread!! I will be stripping wallpaper today & thinking about what else we need to sell to Goodwill. Like I told Bud this morning, I do not want to pay to store & move stuff only to Goodwill it in Fl. We will be downsizing by at least 1,000 square feet....that's a lot of stuff plus losing the basement.

painting...the same as every other room now only my dining room & bathroom downstairs have color. I'm also working with Zoey so she stays in the kitchen & not run into the family room. Stepping over the big gate is really getting old. If Lexi can learn so can Zoey.

to train our girls, Larry bought a plastic mat that is wired to a 9V battery. You set it to shock (not enough to hurt them), shock & beep or just beep. Well, after a while the battery went dead, and by then both dogs had learned not to cross into the living room. Now we just lay a piece of plastic runner there - no battery hookup - and they stay out of the living room. In fact when my family was here for the holiday dinner, Larry took up the piece of plastic and still both dogs stayed our of the living room. Don't know what it costs, but it sure beats stepping over or moving a gate every time.

Oh and Ladies ....
I have been offered a job!
It's the one I really wanted. However the offer is contigent on references and a criminal background check. So I want each and every one of you to take responsibility for any bodies I have hidden - I mean that's what are friends for right?.
Seriously, I am so excited - I should have a final, written offer by Monday, Tuesday at the latest. My hours will be from 2:00pm to 10:30pm and I work every other Sunday. The best part is that I will be making almost $4 more per hour than I was at the clinic. Okay, I just need to breathe and wait patiently for the written offer which will come by email.
This also means that should I need to, I can move back to my own house and not have ANY financial worries - should I need or want to make the move.

Reason: wording was stupid
I must have missed something, cause it looks like Kelly is writing a book, and I so want to read it!
Hugs ladies
LOL Karen, I am always writing a book.. as well as short stories and magazine articles. That's my 'day job'. I just get to do it in my jammies and if I put my head on the desk it's okay
Though I keep wondering ...
Can you be OCD and ADHD at the same time? Anyone know if that is clinically possible.

Kelly - I would like to see what else you have written - any other books?
Nothing in book form yet, Karen. Though I did get 'the call' once. I've tried to move past that hehe
This particular story is being written based on a call for submissions from The Wild Rose Press last fall so I'm crossing my fingers.
Most of my accolades have been in the form of contest wins. Though I have been published more than once in Polymer Cafe magazine. I have an article in this new issue just hitting the stands and should have one in the next issue. My first back-to-back and requested by the editor so I'm really excited. It means I'm building a reputation with her.
Hi Suzy... no, I don't I have heard of her. I'll try to remember to look her up tomorrow.
Janis Susan May....also writes under the name of Janis Patterson too.
She was published about 10 years ago as a romance novelist. Now, she is doing more murder mystery type of books. She has a few on Amazon as e-books. I know that she has been excited about a recent book that she is doing some rewrites for a publisher.
Anyway, she is a friend of mine. Her and her husband are rocket club members.

When they come to the meetings (several new members there)...Jack will ask everyone to introduce themselves. I laugh when she gets up (sitting in the back with her computer typing on her book)....she just very calmly says...."she kills people for a living". Let me tell you....no one goes to visit her after the meeting!!!! She and I always have such a laugh about that! The first time she did it (after not attending meetings for about a year...her DH was deployed)...there was a gasp after she said it. I started giggling....I'm sure everyone thought we were a little weird!!!!
