Good morning Quackers!

Chilly 31 here this morning, but it is supposed to warm up a little bit.

Shell, I hope Mark made it home or will shortly. It's good that he had your mom's place to go to. Even living up North, we never made snow cream. How do you do that?

Dody, sorry that the dinner was cancelled, but glad that she was able to get to the graduation anyway.

Suzy - looking forward to our next go round.

Kelly, sorry you got sidetracked with shopping yesterday. Hope you're able to catch up with your work.

Soni, Krista Sue - hope you guys are staying warm.

Good morning quackers. I hope today finds everyone safe and warm. We are to be in the mid 40s today. Another run day. Have a BUNCH of stuff to take to recycling. Hope we can get all of it in the back seat of the truck as we have high wind gusts today. Anything that can't will have to wait for another day.

I'm pitching more stuff in the studio this morning before we leave.

I am slow getting on today because we had our ladies breakfast this morning. We are up to 16 of us now! It's such fun giving the 'birthday girl' small gifts & seeing what people find. I gave her 3 of my funky chickens in a basket/nest. I am always on the look out now for inexpensive gifts to buy or make so any ideas would be very welcome.

I have not heard from Jen & have not been on FB yet so I am hoping she got to go into the graduation. Since they had to move it indoors they were saying just spouses were for sure. I know she would have pitched a fit if they didn't let her in.

He made it home around noon. Thanks.

We took about 8 cups of clean (haha!) snow and mixed it with about 1.5 tsp vanilla and a can of sweetened condensed milk. Just mix it up good, and it is SO good.

Looks like they put the graduation back outside so everyone could attend. It was only 20* but that was nothing compared to the poor troop that was camping when the storm hit. Facebook is my source of most info

What specific questions do you have? I use digitals almost all the time now because they use them for the Design Teams.

With a digital image, you can resize it to make it whatever size you want for your project.

I use WordPerfect, but since most people have Word, they use that program.

After you have saved your image, you open up a new document in whatever program you import into to print. A digital image is like a graphic. You insert/iimport the image from your picture directory. When you get it on your screen, when you click on it, it will show it in a box with the dotted line around it and those little boxes in the corners and in the middle of the top and bottom and left and right sides. You use those to resize. You just grab one of the little boxes in a corner and either drag it out or push it in to make it the size you want. Depending on what I'm going to use it for, I usually make mine about 2" x 3" if it's a standing up figure. If it's going to be in a round finish, then I kind of make it about 3" x 3". It's up to you to determine how big you want to make it.

It's really blowing here today...the wind is out of the south. So, it's warmer today....almost 60*. But, with all that wind...it feels much cooler!

The resizing program link I sent you is primarily for photos. Resizing digi images Maggie's way is the easiest for those.

I keep one flash drive just for digis. I have a folder for each company I get digis from. one of my favorites is Anne Stillwell at Cuddle Bug Cuties. There's a link for her on my sidebar I think. She gives a free digi every week just because LOL But I have several I've acquire because I get the Friday Freebies email that links me to multiple free images available.

I am about done for the night.
Shell, glad Mark got home okay. I know you were relieved. I saw ariel shots of the interstate. WOW! I so understand why your area had issues though. Not something you guys experience everyday.

Well, yes, but how? Do you turn it into ice cream? Or is it a cream you put on top of ice cream or cake or something like that? I'm not too clear on what it looks like after you mix it up.

Here is a great place to get freebie digitals. This girl gets images from old magazines and books that have expired copyrights and she turns them into digital images and gives them away for free. I've gotten a few from her blog. And there is such a wide variety of images.

We got stuff taken into the recycling center. The entire back seat of my truck was full of cardboard. I brought home a clothes basket of foam egg cartons. I will take those down to TX when I go in March. They are using them for insulation and sound proofing at the Texas Music Theater in Linden. Trying to be as eco friendly as possible with the building remodel.

We stopped at WM so I could get the hunter safety stocking hats. I needed 3 to go with the glove sets. I hated paying almost $3 a piece for the hats but that is what the hunters have to wear so they will be good for the youth hunters next winter. Better to go that route for a hat they could use for hunting then just crocheting a regular orange hat they can't use out there. I could not find an orange yarn for the scarves so am going to look for that next week when we go to Springfield. I'll have HL, Michaels and JoAnns to shop. I did find a camo varigated yarn to go with the olive green hats/ gloves I bought. I have 3 sets of those.

If you want to see the 5 sets I did for January, they are on today's blog post.

We went to lunch at my favorite Mexican restaurant. I introduced Bob to what I usually get (minus green peppers and onions). Said he has found a new favorite. It is called Aros Los Amigos. Steak, chicken and shrimp, green peppers and onions on a bed of rice and covered in Queso cheese sauce. The rice is almost like a Mexican version of spanish rice. It has peas, corn and finely chopped potato. Interesting. And it is not very spicy. Bob can't do spicy. We both brought leftovers home.

Awesome, Thanks! I got 2 images today from StitchyBear. I have word on here, so I'll start with that.

You mix it together and refreeze it. Tastes like a rich country vanilla ice cream without all the added sugar (except for what is in the milk)

Okay... Bob says hungry so I'm off to heat up hot dogs and Mac & Cheese.

Oh Maggie... was going to tell you. I saw at our WM SuperCenter yesterday where they had NS food kits. There's enough in each 'kit' for 5 days. Sold for around $45. They had a variety of kits to choose from. Don't know how that compares to what you're paying to have shipped to you. But might be something to consider when you want to start planning your own meals and maybe mix in some of theirs down the road.
