hehehehe on all our clothes from our younger days. The things we delt with!
Well, and still deal with today.
DSS's mom will take him to the good will and just pick out stuff. My 17 yr old will come home with shirts that are way too big on him ( and he is a BIG boy ) that an old man would wear and NOT a 17 yr old. Jeans that are way too big etc. they just go into the trash.

thank you, I know God is controlling this so whatever He works is ok with me. A bit stressfull not knowing WHERE I will be living in 3 weeks but that's what faith is all about, right? Our major concern is they factor foreclosures into apraisals so all of the recent foreclosures may hit my appraisal hard even with all we have done so many updates..they don't count them at all. Today's ecomomy is unlike anything I have ever seen, all rules have changes.
Prayers, Dody. I know this is hard, but He has it all under control. Hugs to you.
I love eyelet also, and dotted swiss...although you can't find that anymore.
I thought about using dotted Swiss or, even, seersucker, but I just couldn't get past the eyelet. I just LOVE eyelet. I may try again with one of the other materials.
I did just receive an email. the book I won is a paperback edition, and signed... so cool
Cool! I prefer paperbacks most of the time. The book I won a couple weeks ago was a hardback (unsigned) and the one the publisher sent me to review - Marty Robbins-Twentieth Century Drifter - was unsigned. But I know both authors so if I want I can always ask them for autographed book plates to stick on the inside.
he said 2-3 days... we will make it work but I am using some 'stick my head in the sand' tech too. Y'all have no idea how I go from ok to scared to ok...only about 100 times a day....and my DAUGHTER is extremely overwhelmed???? geeze.
Gracious, Dody. Big hugs to you. I do understand, though. The anxiety is normal. I hope you take some time to do some things just to get your mind off of it. While normal, the anxiety isn't exactly healthy. Take care of YOU.
What in the world is going on in Jen's world that has her so overwhelmed??
oh yes and he was he was not upset with Brooke at all... thank goodness, he is dealing with life so much better these days ...
Tam does not want me to come in fear I will get it...I know her fear is me needing treated and with only the use of one hand that might be a difficult task...
I don't blame her. I would be cautious about that, too. And the chemicals you have to use are so strong.
Let her know that vinegar helps loosen the nits and won't hurt Brooke or the baby. It doesn't kill the lice, but helps get those things out.

And poor little Faith having to deal with it, too.
Our friends that had it stayed inside and out of group events for about 3 weeks. They were able to, though, since they homeschool. I can't imagine how others handle it.
yes it is so hard with Brooke...I have not spoken to Tam yetabout Faith ... I was giving her time to get home and do what she needed to do...I am hoping she can rest too
I am not sure if it is a law or not, but in the past I know schools have always been good about letting parents know... if that had been the case, I do not think Brookes would have been so bad... it has been quite an ordeal...
yes it is so hard with Brooke...I have not spoken to Tam yet, I was giving her time to get home and do what she needed to do...I am hoping she can rest too
Yes, it is. And they will need to retreat in a week or so. I just hate that for them ... and it makes my head itch!!!!!!!!

thanks, I do take moments to recover...usually here online. I can take small breaks & just breathe. We got some info from the home management guys & there are 2 places that look promising to rent. So I feel better about that. if we can get our appraisal number where we need it we can buzz back down to Fl & check out this rental. Funny how they all look good online, right?
Jen has baseball, basketball, church activities, her recovery group....normal stuff, she does tend to overbook her & the kids lives. And she is working now, she's the lunch lady at a Cobb county HS. Sooooooooo funny since she was my kid who hated, HATED school! Justin is a HS teacher & Stef will start teaching preschool this summer! All of my kids still in school!

I just hate this for you. Been there with Jen & her long, long hair. It was a nightmare, I washed everything in the house. When Justin's little friend got them I took Justin to get a buzz haircut ASAP! Just in case! He was fine!

I'm glad that there are a couple places that you can choose from when the time comes. Definitely, even that house that my DD has a contract on, looks fabulous, but she says IRL it isn't as pretty. It needs some updating on appliances and other things. The photos must have been from some time ago.
LOL! That's funny that now that the have graduated, they've gone back in one form or another.

oh I have the memories too Krista with a new perm and hair down to her waist oh how fun that was... then a bit later our friends little girl had it and shared... continually her mom was not doing anything at home to help.... we treated carpet, furniture, stuffed animals clothes bedding over and over it took us a while to figure it all out... that child had lice forever... her mom finally dyed her hair and cut it thinking it would help yea not my kind of MOTHER... we had words, a few times...I could not not let her come I was the only one helping her... so she came in the door, stripped and went to the sink... she at least had a non lice head for a day or two... yes I called services on her... shaking my head

I'm glad you're taking some time.
I hope you get those numbers (and the RIGHT numbers) very soon.
I see. That's a lot of stuff to deal with. I'm sure it's hard for her adjusting to the single mom route. It would be awful for me, I know.
LOL!! That's pretty funny! Will both Alyssa and Landen be in preschool?
Oh, okay. Thanks, I will. Glad I was able to help you out.
I pieced several to use in the girls' albums while I was doing the ones for Heather's book. She and her husband both loved the album, btw. When I made each animal, I made a recipe card so if I ever decide to search ebay for the cart, I can duplicate what I did
ok, well I can't find that card sketch link from the other day, where you could see all the sketches and print them off.
I went to the challenge thread and all I can find is the individual sketches.
anyone????????? thanks!
Karen, here is the link to the Master Thread for all the Sketch Challenges. Just scroll down in Post 1, 2 & 3 I think and you'll see attachments you can print out for what you want.

tam says the olive oil is loosening up some cradle car so that is good...she said it was a live one on Faith, but she has not seen any more... another day of washing everything car seat and all ... She is holding up well, and she is just so sad for her babies...the health dept said there was nothing they could do, it is not a disease , just a nusance... and said it sounded like the parents were doing all the right things...
I still think this needs to be brought up at school. and addressed...if one of them had to put their child thru this, miss work and get "that" look for leaving work, and just see their child hurt emotionally and physically I bet they would see it differently...but I do not wish that on any other child nor hard working parent...
Thought I'd pop in for a quick chat before I shut everything down for the night. We're to have storms in here later this evening with possible tornado watches/ warnings sometime after midnight. I have all the outside chores done and am in my jammies. TV and book altering are in my near immediate future... right after supper.
I know a couple of you here are not on the swap thread and vice versa so wanted to share this here:
Oh.. did ya'll know that DCWV is the company making the Recollections slabs?
Check out their blog for some awesome new slabs for both lines coming out March 1st.
Thanks Maggie. You know I like my storms. Especially the wind. Brings out the witchy in me
Now if it won't mess with my DVR so I can get a couple things off there. I still need to watch the Oscars.
Wish we were getting storms, but it looks like we'll save the rain for Saturday. There's a 40% chance tomorrow through Friday, but Saturday is boosted to 60%. Should be fun. Not sure if we'll get storms, though. I can hope!
