Good morning Quackers!

Soni, that's great news about the girls' volleyball teams! It is always nice to see them win.

How is Dustin this morning? Is he better now? Hope your tests go well.

Dody, hope your test goes well today also.

I have a couple bits of news this morning which you might see in my signature.

Last night I stepped down from the Perfect Sentiment Challenge Design Team. It seemed that after 2 years of being on the Team, that it was the right time to make the change. And I have -

I've accepted a spot on the Design Team for One Stitch at a Time which is owned by Stichy Bear My first card will be on the OSAAT challenge blog on Sunday, Oct. 20. Check it out.

I've also accepted a spot on the Design Team for Sunshine Mail Foundation Challenge Blog. If you click on Our Blogs and then choose the Challenge Blog, it will take you to the current challenge. I'm really excited about this because the cards are for kids. They post on the 1st and 15th of each month and the cards that are made are sent to the Foundation to be used for the children.

So, still going to be busy, but just somewhere else and with I hope a chance to grow even more.

Krista kept him home to see if his temp went up at all...but she just let me know she took him to school an hour late... she needed to run to town and knew I needed to leave later... so trying to keep one of us near by in case thanks for asking... he was still quiet last night but the appetite was coming back...well for snacks any way

I think each Team will give me the opportunity to create in a different way - OSAAT can be more creative with the embellishments and all, whereas the ones for the kids will be more of a CAS style.

Got my blood work done this morning, bone scan tomorrow..no biggie. Saturday is the neighborhood garage sale, I wonder when I'll be able to sew again. Got my flu shot in my right arm yesterday & blood drawn from my left arm today...now I have 2 sore arms. I couldn't lay on my right side last night I hope tonight is better.

We had lunch with my neighbor gals today celebrating another birthday. No birthdays next month so we are just going to have lunch, lol. It's a fun way to try out all of the Mt Dora eateries and there are plenty!

Ugh! I hate that with shots. I hope you have a better night tonight.

I always go to sleep on my right side, but many times wake up on my left side. I definitely cannot sleep on my back or stomach.

thank you for the prayers ladies... I wish I knew of some thing I could do ...

bone scan was easy... also went in to the office to do do my sample foe the doctor... and I was able to pick up Cody's scripts while I was there... so that was good...

I stopped in at Kohls, looked at clearance racks, found a couple of t shirts for 2.00 and another one that matches one of my open front sweaters... it will be nice for church... the others just every day ~ I was hoping to find a couple of long sleeve tops for church, but nothing fit ... so cheap day for me 7.00 for 3 tops and a pair of indies too

then on to the grocery store for a few things... I was not so lucky there with my money lol

Just checking in. 39 degrees here this morning and I feel it in my shoulders. Dampness coming in the window last night I think.

Trying to get business done this morning so I can work in the yard this afternoon. NEED to get the garden shed cleared out and see if I still have a lizard guest. I hope so. He'll keep other nasty bugs down to a minimum.

Soni, prayers constant for MaryLou.

Hello, I just has 2 updates...one from Sue and one from Bill , that is a blessing in its self ...those prayers are working ladies...

They are admitting Marylou for four or five days, going to work on getting fluid off...that is causing less mobility and stress on her heart causing weakness and inability to walk and move... and causing her breathing to be so labored
and hoping that might help her pain level... pain clinic is not reaching it...

Again Bill sends his humble thank yous but with much gratitude ...

I say thank you from all of us that love her...

Hi Quackers. Sorry I wasn't on more yesterday and today.

One of my GF's took me out to dinner last night for my b'day. We went to this little hole in the wall Polish restaurant, but they have the BEST food. We got a dinner for 2. It comes with all sorts of different things to share. They give you 2 of most things and the items that you have to share are large size so there's plenty. I ate good at the restaurant and then brought the rest of my half home. Had some for lunch and still have some leftover at home either for dinner tonight or lunch tomorrow.

Got up a little late this morning, but that's okay cause I was using some comp time. Busy at the office with the boss in today, but he's left already and I get to leave in about 5 minutes.

Nothing going on tonight except working on cards. I have a vet appt. for Corey at 9 tomorrow. Then some grocery shopping. Going to DD's for my birthday dinner on Sunday.

Soni, glad to hear that they are finally putting Mary Lou back in the hospital. I hope they can get this all under control so she's not experiencing so much discomfort and pain. Prayers being said.

He is off to fill 2 water bottles for me since I forgot them yesterday... that is a big help in its self... I am limited where I can get help with them...

I think I will heart up some soup tonight... I have some potato soup left, Randy may enjoy some when he gets back...

I did make one card today and enjoyed doing it ... then I ended up in my chair lol

I got to leave the office a little early. Wow, with the dark now coming so early, it seems so late and it's only 7 p.m.

Came home to happy mail. Thanks Dody for your lovely card. You did a fabulous job with your coloring. I never new what Bud's given name was.

Shell, I received your card today too. Thank you so much for thinking of me. I've always liked that SU stamp set. I think it's one that I've held on to and so appropriate.

Time change comes in a few weeks. That will mess us all up.

I'm glad you liked it and that it actually got there on time. Appropriate for the time of year, of course.

I look forward to the 'fall back' in November. Gives me an extra hour to write for National Novel Writing Month.

Shell... they have a young authors program. With Jaydin writing, you might want to look at it. National Novel Writing Month

Looks to be another beautiful day in the Ozarks. A friend of mine is having an open house at her art gallery today so thought I'd go that direction then find a place to sit and write. Take some pictures along the way for my files.

decided to start some stew...the old fashioned way... lol

stew meat 6.29 a pound, chuck steak 3.29 a pound...yep some cutting involved... carrots, minis in a bag 3.09 a few whole ones .99 amazing what saving a little money does... yep more time in the kitchen

I saved almost ten dollars... on that alone woo hoo for me

and Kasey girls has a handful of scraps of fatty meat .
and I have a piece of steak in the freezer for another night

now to go put my hands in warm water to ease the aching...lol

Garage sale is over! Now to just replace everything that didn't sell. We did ok, nothing like what we did in the spring but made a little bit. I sold $28 in stamps, most were SAB or 'freebies' or just really old that I bought used. After dragging the desk & computer down to the garage he decided NOT to sell it, lol. He said he'll hook it up for me...*shaking my head* whatever! Again I have to shake my head at what sold, junk! That's pretty cool since money is a tad bit tight right now; anyone relate? The solid oak bar stools & microwave are still here because we were not willing to give them away.

The heat turned back on down here, no not the furnace~ the sun! It was in the 90s again the last few days & soooo humid! I did get to work out in the pool yesterday & plan on it again Monday so that's good. Thursday was a great eat out day, lol. I think I gained a few pounds. After a yummy Reuben for lunch we hit the food trucks in downtown Mt Dora for dinner. I had a lobster roll covered with lobster bisque. No calories there of course! Then a carrot cake cupcake, mmmmmmmmm!

Came home to happy mail. Thanks Dody for your lovely card . You did a fabulous job with your coloring. I never new what Bud's given name was.

Shell, I received your card today too. Thank you so much for thinking of me. I've always liked that SU stamp set. I think it's one that I've held on to and so appropriate.
You are very welcome, I'm glad you like it. I just love coloring those images.

Not much else going on. Got my card up on my blog for PSC.

I've been working with a couple of the men from church helping them get started on their Family History. We meet up at the church on Tuesdays when the Youth are there. We've had lots of scheduling problems and attendance problems so it's been slow going. One of them has a disability and doesn't drive so relies on the other to get him there. The one who drives is going to some classes for his job and couldn't meet this week, so I told the other one that I'd come to his house which is best anyway because then he's on his own computer. His mom told him that she had already put a lot of information into Family Search. Well, we searched and searched last night and couldn't find any of the names. So now his job is to input all that information that his mom gave him so we can start to research what he still needs to know. That will probably take him awhile unless he devotes all day to doing that inputting.
Is Family Search a program you purchase, or an online site?

I'm on my 5th load of laundry today and I still have dog bedding and rugs to do. Plus give the girls a bath.

Both the girls have fleas. Because they sleep with me, I've stripped my bed down and washed all the bedding and sprayed the mattress.

I found a flea spray recipe on FB using vinegar, soda, salt and water. Going to try that before I buy any chemical stuff. The girls are not around other dogs, so the only way they could get fleas is by pottying outside. Not exactly what I wanted to deal with this weekend, but knew I had to get an early start before the carpeting was invaded (if it hasn't been already). Going to try the spray on the carpeting too. Got nothing to lose, the carpet already smells and is stained - maybe vinegar will help the smell ;-D

Tomorrow is groceries and sorting/pitching again.

Another stressful week too. Found out I cannot renew my McAfee security because my PC as Microsoft security essentials which stops the upload. But don't understand why I didn't have any issues last year and no new programs have been added this year. When I contact McAfee, they want $70 to remove the Microsoft program.

Then this morning discovered I made a mistake in subtraction on my checking account and it caused an overdraft - bank covers the check because I have overdraft protection, but they still charge me $30+ for the overdraft. Sure couldn't afford that either - that's pretty close to the cost of a week's worth of groceries for me. Had to dip into my roof savings to move money into checking to cover the overdraft fee. Will be double-checking my math from now on.

Off to catch up on what's been happening...

It's very windy and chilly here today. I had my fleece jacket on when I went out.

Carrot cake - cream cheese icing. Yummy!

It's a website set up by our church, but anyone is free to use it. The site is www.familysearch.org. You can use it to keep track of your pedigree chart and also use it as a search engine for research.

You are not the only one battling fleas this year. Kelly has had an invasion of them too and one of my other blogging friends. You need to treat the yard outside if they are bringing them in from the outside. They can also jump on your clothing when you're outside and come in that way.

Weird about the security thing. I use Norton. They've been very good for my computer.

Ooops, so sorry about the overdraft. I understand what that can mean. I use Quicken to keep track of my banking and try to make sure that I keep up with it. Then I know when bills are due.

Going to go do a load of laundry and get some crafting done.

I need to schedule my card to be on my blog at 6 a.m. on Sunday for OSAAT. It's a little different that PSC was. The blog is coming from the UK so we need to run by GMT. The challenge goes live at noon UK time, so for here it is 6 a.m.
