Maggie... Look on pg 65 of Delight in the Details. She does the crepe paper flowers and I believe they're constructed the same way.

Nice cards, Suzy. First thing I thought of with the black ribbon and the band across the middle were the Memory bands firefighters and police officers where in memory of a fallen comrade.

Then, we headed up to Marietta to the Barnes and Nobel (about an hour from home - but closest one, I think ... unless we were to go south to Newnan .... towards my mil's house ....). Jaydin really wanted to go there because she'd not been to a big bookstore since she started reading the chapter books. She found several she wanted ... along with several horse books (go figure). Jonah found several, as well ... including a 1000+ page book with 7 of Jules Vern's novels in there. I love that my kid WANTS to read the classics.

Then, we stopped by Game Stop (both kids wanted to go there ... go figure) and headed to the square. There's a stamp store there (over an hour from home - so not 'local' for me ... but the ONLY one around). Ahhhhhh .... had a wonderful time there. Found some adorable images by Inky Antics, some Copics I needed, and some new dies.

We had supper and came home. Overall ... a good day.

sorry for your co-worker, Maggie. I just can not imagine. When my mind goes that direction I have panic attacks and I try to avoid those when I can.

Well, I'm caught up on this thread, I've sent thank you's to the TPT notes from last week and made the blogs round for PBU. Bob is at a lodge meeting for about another hour so need to go get the clean sheets on the bed. Spirit is upstairs crying like the world is ending because I won't let him down here.

Tomorrow is to be another nice day - in the 60's. We're going to get some of the pre-garden stuff I need done before Bob leaves for work on Monday. Then it's quiet day around the house just the two of us... and we're NOT going anywhere! LOL

I have my Mag. Mon. cards made for the next 2 weeks. I made 4 cards from Cindy's envelope. Will get them on the thread tomorrow hopefully. And my tpt card is done for this week.

Now I'm tired and off to wait for Bob. Sweet Dreams!

it has been a nice day...I did my shopping, spent a bit of $... came home to find Tammy and Faith waiting for me ... we went to our favorit little shop in Elmwood... then I made spaghetti, and some garlic cheese bread from Schwans... supper was yummy...

We watched 3 movies on Hallmark...
Faith slept in my arms twice after I fed her, she played in between feedings, and gurgled, and laughed, and and talked to me ... I got her some new flavors in food, and she really liked those... she is a really good eater ...

I am off to bed, Tammy is reading, oh and I picked up 4 books at the library today too...
i will only be on # 12 but at least I am reading fairly consistently...I read 3 books in the last 10 days... I am hoping to pick that up a bit ...

Good morning Quackers. Cold here this morning - 39* Brrrrr... I guess the Groundhog was right - 6 more weeks of winter.

I worked on my TPT card last night. I think I'm going to get extra cookies this week.

Church today and then dinner at DD's.

Same here. Keith was in the shower when Dustin first got sick. I stayed with him, rubbed his back, and tried my best. In cleaning up, I started throwing up. AWFUL!!! So I told Cody to tell Keith Dustin needed him as soon as possible. At this point, Dustin was in the front bathroom and I was in the kitchen. Bless his little heart, when Keith got to Dustin, I heard his worried little voice holler "Go to Mommy first!" How sweet is that? He was such a trooper throughout his long night

Well, Dustin hasn't been sick since early yesterday morning. He's eaten a few things in small amounts. He's starting to look better too.

That's good to hear. Just a 24 hour thing or think it was something he ate?

It was 40 when I got up at 7 but the wind is making it feel much cooler. I hope it really does warm up like they say it's suppose to. We have to work outside today regardless. I have a load of clothes on the line, the jeans are on their final rinse then they'll get hung up. I think the sheets are the last load for the line then I'll have a couple of dryer loads.

Bob is trying to make my camera and the tripod play nice so I can use it for tutorial shots. I told him I have to get this stuff done on scs this morning. He made breakfast and I'm working on the components of supper or I'll be too tired to do it when we come in. Sunday dinner for around 600 calories or less. Not going to be easy hehe But by the time we're at GOAL weight I'll have a new cookbook created. Then I'm getting rid of most of my misc. cookbooks.

Hey Dody...

When you get settled in the rental, it would be a great time for you to start your blog. It would be great letting the rest of us peek into the design of your new house - especially your new space. What is in your head as you plan the layout. What things are you considering and why that over something else...

Just something to be thinking about.

yes Faith rolled over to one side last night to play with her toys on her mat... seems like she is doing it all too fast... I really think she will be sitting up own her own soon...She has help her head up strong for 3 months now and sits in her exersaucer, on on our laps well...I told Brooke to sit with her on the floor with Faith between her legs to get her used to it

It looks like high in the mid 50's today but super windy
and a little bit of sun shine ...
tomorrow 40's but sunny...
So not too bad... but with this wind it sure does not feel warm at all

maybe tomorrow will feel nicer with lots of sunshine

I contacted one...just to ask if she could do it. She said she could...when I had a name...just get back to her. I thought about the name for a few more minutes...and then contacted her. Well, that was last week....still no answer back...and it hasn't changed.

I guess I need to get someone else to do it. Who did you contact?

Glad that you are feeling better at your house, Krista....you and Dustin both.

I guess I had a strong stomach for that sort of clean up......I've had to do the cats for years!!! Then doing it at school....lucky we didn't have that happen too many times!! I know the previous aides I would have just couldn't do it at all. They had similar reactions to it....so, it couldn't just sit there....waiting! I would have had 15 more to clean up...including the aide's!!! At that time we didn't have a custodian working during the day. So, the teachers and the aides had to take care of that sort of thing. Fun times!!!! Yeah, right! Hey, I just did what I had to do.....

I asked Sue last night if she wanted me to bring the music seat when we come down next month. She gave a resounding NO! LOL It's a 'play station' with keyboard, drum pad type of stuff for infants. Jeremy's mom (MiMi) got it for the shower gift because Jeremy and his dad are in the music business. I guess it is staying at grandma's for her to play in.

I doubt Mimi will be around while she's young enough to use it so won't know it isn't even at their apt.

So not too bad... but with this wind it sure does not feel warm at all

maybe tomorrow will feel nicer with lots of sunshine
We're suppose to be in the 60s. So as soon as I have threads caught up, Bob and I are spending the day outside. I have a To Do list of 10 things to accomplish today. Four loads of laundry on the line and I've been working on the components of supper little by little.

oven fried chicken breast, twice baked potatoes, deviled egg, green beans or canned peas and apple crisp with vanilla ice cream for dessert.

I guess I need to get someone else to do it. Who did you contact?
TexasGrammy was the one who got right on it

Happy Sunday.

I've got a few minutes before I start gathering the income tax info. Don't know why it's my responsibility, when I don't even get part of the refund... this year I am demanding half, or I'm filing on my own. It's not a fair relationship when in 9yrs of filing that I have only received $800 of the refund - the rest goes into HIS savings account.

Addison is here for a bit. She just blessed me with a scattering of rice krispies all over the living room. Grandpa told her she could have some, and told her not to spill. But spill she did. Oh well, the living room is now vaccuumed.

Finally getting into the working groove again. Been actually waking up before the alarm goes off. But I've been going to bed between 9 and 9:30. So that helps. Two more weeks of classes, then 2 weeks of a shadow, with hours of 8:00 to 4:30. Then I'm on my own at my hours of 11:00 - 7:30. Of course there will be people there that I can get answers from. But yikes, I know I won't know everything I need to know.

Okay... off to catch up.

The bathroom and laundry room got a good mopping and I'm trying to put the laundry room back together before I call it a night.

reading this reminded me that I have a load in the washer that needs to hit the drying rack. Need the slacks for work tomorrow.

hmmmm, that is an interesting idea. Could you PM me a link to free blog sites....just in case I decide to do that?
