Then back home to cover all the surfaces downstairs, seal off all the doors and vents leading to downstairs and setting off a flea can in each of the 4 rooms.

Gal at walmart told me to spray the baseboards, hard surfaces with vinegar. Apparently fleas do not like vinegar. She even puts a bit in her dogs' water. The vinegar gets into their system and acts as a natural flea/ tick preventative. So after I vacuum the downstairs, I'm going to pray the concrete floors with strong vinegar/ water solution.

I still need to rip the carpet out of the bedroom closet. I spent yesterday moving all the clothes and dresser drawers out of there but was too tired to pull the carpet. Will do that tomorrow, spray the floor/ baseboards down good. When that's dried, I'll put the closet stuff back, repeat in the bedroom area and put the bed back together. I"m ready to get off the sofa bed. LOL
What a job you've got there Kelly. I sure hope this last push will get rid of them. The vinegar is worth a try. Hope it works.

Now she has an email that states she is out of bandwidth. This happened last month too. So, she would turn it off after checking things quickly. She called us... Jack talked her through what she should ask for. The first person was a dud! Anyway, she got someone that knew a lot more compared to the first one. He has given her 2 gig to test...that way they can see what is happening. Apparently the dish is off...so, it's getting transmissions. But, a tech will have to come out...and charge her. She said she would rather be charged and get it fixed...than having to spend the monthly fee...to not be able to use it! Duh! So, we had a nice chat about lots of stuff.

geesh !

It was a pretty day, sunny and pleasant.. We had hamburgers and hot dogs, pasta salad, macaroni salad and a taco pasta salad Tammy made...it was good, tho I think I would have preferred it warm... And the Texas cake was a hit of course, only 2 small pieces left... We just enjoyed chatting Mama Sue played a game on Tammy's mini Ipad and Krista was messing around with Tam's i phone...

Faith had great nap and her and Cody watched a movie on the Mickey TV and her and Dustin played outside, Tammy brought up her small outdoor slide to leave here for her... Ali and Brooke did what ever they do lol and just a do nothing day...

I just called Keith to come over I heard a strange noise 3 times, sounded like scraping and thumping... thought maybe was moving my outdoor chair on the concrete... He checked inside and out...we did not see anything , or any critters...

So I am going to try to go back to my book, I just started Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah...

Good morning Quackers.

Soni, I had the guy's home phone number, but it's not a working number anymore. Don't know if he moved or just changed his cell phone number. The company he used to work for (CompUSA) has since closed where it used to be, so couldn't get him through that either.

good morning, all! I've got a load of laundry going. Thought I had better get a start on that. I know there are a few more to do too.

We have some errands to do. So, that takes care of our day. I need to get the wedding gift wrapped. Hmm...wonder if I have paper. That might be a problem...good thing we are going out today already!

I want to see the dress too

I think I need to stop by HL after the library today. I used up the entire tube of E6000 and I have 1 more side of the fairy house to finish plus the base. Maybe I better get a 2 pack, lol!

Liz said that she will bring fabric to me next week so I can start sewing. I'm glad that will give me a few extra weeks to get it all done. I really want to start on Alyssa's quilt but need to wait until the costumes are done. Then I should take my machine in for a tune up, good thing I have 2, right? My machine has a little light that comes on after 140,000 stitches & that was a long time ago. I cleaned & oiled her then but she is due for a good going over.

And I have made several cards over the last week!!! I pulled out all of the Halloween & Thanksgiving & Christmas kits I had & worked them up. I still have Kelly's Easter kit and some teacups and random bits and pieces but I am feeling good about using up my odds and ends. Dang, I just can not throw anything out!!!!

It's cool that it has a light. My sewing machine friend says that I should put a drop of oil in for every 8 hours of sewing. I have done that, but I get it professionally cleaned every year or so.... or try to. Mine probably won't go in to get cleaned until after Christmas .... or until Christmas projects are done.

Have you put them on your blog? I want to see!

I've done several lately and have them on my blog. YNS has a pretty good challenge sketch, and I've had fun with that this month.

That sounds like a lot of oil to me, I have heard that you should change your needle every 8 hours too...yeah; like that's going to happen! Just remember not to blow the lint off, that pushes it farther into the machine as well.

I don't have a Blog! *shock* right? they are pretty basic, nothing show worthy but thx! I love the coloring you did on your cake pop one, her hair was esp nice.

Did y'all know if your nib dries out on your copic you can soak it in alcohol? Just don't walk away from it like I did, now I have dark green alcohol, lol.

I know, right?! I rarely replace the needle and should be better about it. I just don't think about it.

Yeah, I know. I use my little brush ... and Jaydin knows how to use it, too. She's so cute when she's focused on rethreading her machine and such. I truly hope this is a hobby she will enjoy all of her life.

Duh .. I knew that. Sorry. Did you put them in your gallery??

Thank you! I'm still working on hair. It's a challenge for me.

That makes sense.

I think I need a B0000 refill next. I've just not gotten that one, but I think I need it. It's a great background color.

Well girls....as far as the dress goes....no, it didn't get done!!! After cutting it out...to the size I wanted....the neckline was way too low!!!! Nothing like showing it all off! I'm not the Madonna type!!! LOL I decided that I really didn't have the time...or want the stress level to try and fix it at that moment. I had tried it as just the paper pattern...and it seemed fine. But, being one of those combo size patterns....it got off. Oh, way off!!!! Plus, it was so big in the shoulders. I might work on it again after the wedding. But, to get it done for this weekend was just not going to happen!!! You wouldn't believe how less stressed I was once I decided to just put it away!!! Now, my sewing looked beautiful on the neckline and facing! It would have been great if it wasn't so BIG!!! I might put an insert in...or something....but, later. I should have gone with my backup idea to start with....would have saved all that worry etc over this project. I'm wearing a black/brown patchwork long skirt with a black nice knit top. Then wearing my silver/turquoise jewelry. This is my "go to" outfit for all sorts of things. Now I don't need new shoes, slip etc...do need a new pair of hose!!!

Like I said....I was disappointed at first that I didn't get it done....but, I worked through it. I figure I'll never see these people again. I'll look like the "artsy" type for sure!

So, to make up for the dress project not getting done. I jumped in and did the bouquet for the bride. There is a story here......

This is the daughter of our bowling buddies. Yes, the one that has been rather so-so about bowling. She and I were roommates in college. I was in her wedding. The flowers that I carried were 5 carnations...with lots of netting etc. My mom had found this china stuff to save the flowers. I painted it on the real flowers when I got home. Saved the bouquet. Packed the bouquet and kept it in a box for years. When GF's oldest was getting married....GF and I did all the flowers for decorations. But, the daughter was having real flowers for the wedding party. Not such a good move with temps of 102* outside. The flowers didn't look very good! But, anyway...I had made her a bouquet to use at the rehearsal. I took 3 of the original flowers from the bouquet I carried in her mom's wedding. Mind you...they are a little tan these days!!! I stuck them down in the middle and covered them up with roses etc. You had to know they were there and the story behind it. This was her something "old" for sure! I told her sister that I had the last 2 for her when the time came. I had the rolling of eyes...not sure if she thought it a dumb idea or the fact of her getting married. Well, it's 7 years later...and I made one for her. I tucked the flowers down inside. I also came across some ribbon that we had used in her sister's wedding. I used that in this bouquet. So...she has a little bit of her mom's wedding and a little big of her sister's. I know she already has her flowers. But, this will be just a keepsake. My GF already told her that I did it. She was so surprised that I remembered! I'll get a picture of it....

I went and got a picture outside. Here is the bouquet and the other picture....you can't see it well, but, it's the flowers from her mom's wedding.

Thanks, girls for the kind words. Her mom was surprised that I still had them...when I did it the first time. Then to be able to put my hands on the other flowers...she was really impressed!

How did the kids do at their games?

Nice to have a quiet day at home with no where you have to be. I'd like a few of those days myself.

It's good to have a list so that you don't double buy a marker. I've done that myself a time or two.

Are they in your gallery or on the challenge thread?

I've done several lately and have them on my blog. YNS has a pretty good challenge sketch, and I've had fun with that this month.
Your cards are all adorable. You're doing so well with your coloring, and I really like all your layouts.

Did y'all know if your nib dries out on your copic you can soak it in alcohol? Just don't walk away from it like I did, now I have dark green alcohol, lol.
LOL! Well, you're supposed to keep the cap on your markers when you're not using them so they don't dry out.

Oh my! Yes, that would not have been a good look. On the other hand, some people may have thought so. Sorry it didn't turn out the way you wanted it to, but I know you'll look great in your long skirt and knit top.
