okay....another animal story....

Our neighbor just called a little while ago. She can't get one of her horses in the horse trailer. She called another person and then remembered she was out of town. Her DH isn't around..so, she called us. She started the conversation with....her name...not just the first name....first and last name. Which I always find so funny. Then she said that she only seems to call us when she needs help. That is soooo true!!! Explained it all. She need someone to use the crop on the back end of the horse to get her in. I told her one of us would be over. Well, Jack went ....he just had to put on his shoes. So...he went under her fence....she has those big plastic white fences. Plenty of room to go between the slats. He came right back. It didn't take long. He said all he had to do was smack the hind end with his hand. The mare jumped right in. Our neighbor was making a big Hollywood production out of the whole thing! Jack said the hardest part about it was going through the fence!!!

sorry to hear that Dustin was up all night.....yes, it will be a easy day over there. Lots of laying around....flat 7 up...maybe a little dry toast. See if he keeps that down. Plus some watered down Gatorade. Need to keep those fluids in him.

Dody...I wish I had done a better job when we packed the boxes from my dad's house. I put rooms...and all 4 sides. But, I think I should have put what was in each box...and do a number for the box. An inventory sheet....but, hey at the time...my mind wasn't in the "let's organize this for later"...it was in the "get this stuff packed" mood!

oh gosh, I guess at that time putting anything on the box is a plus. You were emotionally exhausted, I'm sure. I started with the inventory sheet on the first few boxes last year & quickly decided it was too much work. Plus I have to unpack it all anyway, it's not to be stored...after we settle anyhow.

that's true....a majority of the boxes I haven't touched in all this time. Need to go through that sometime. I'm sure some of it...I don't really need.

If you haven't needed it in all this time, probably don't need it at all.

I've got my card almost done for the PSC challenge next Wednesday. The image is all colored and cut out and now I just have to figure out how to put it together. We had to use a die cut that one of the other DT members sent us so that had a lot to do with how this card is going together.

I"m thinking I may run up to HL and look around at some things.

I know there are some cookbooks that were my mom's....don't want to get rid of those. I'll have to see what surprises are in there....I do know that I have my doll collection to unpack. But, the antique china cabinet needs to be fixed first. On the "to do" list. So...I won't be pitching anything yet!

Well, that makes sense. Guess it would be nice to have the china cabinet all fixed up. Can you guys do that yourself or will you have someone restore it?

I made a trip to Hobby Lobby. Got a bunch of stuff. Some pretty black and white flowers and some other paper flowers, which I'm sure if I took the time I could make myself . A couple plastic containers to keep stemmed flowers in. Still trying to get a good storage for them. Found a plastic lunch bag on sale which will replace one I had a long time ago that was stolen out of the refrigerator at work. Got some pretty fibers and brads that go together. Some MS glitter & glue. And 2 sets of 2 - Tim Holtz embossing folders. Oh, and you'll never guess what I found there - that 3 Teacup stamp that I liked that Cindy sent us!! WOO HOO! I was really happy to see that. And I got a bound Sketch Book. I"m going to start a Copic's Coloring Book. It's made with 70# paper so I think it will work okay. Marianne is always telling us to keep a notebook of various color combos we might like so I'll use this for practice. It's coil bound so it will lay flat on my table.

Guess I'll go finish up that card I was working on and see about what else I can get into.

I've also got an idea for my Teapot Tuesday card so I need to see if I can work that out. I noticed in the new Copic Coloring book that there is just the image in there that I need so I'm going to download all the images on the CD to my computer so I can print them out when I want to play with them.

I went back to reading the mail. Then Pie was making the same sound. Jack had gone back outside to work on the front house. I went over...and saw that Pie was camped out near the computer table and cabinet. I have a box...and bag...and a bunch of stuff stacked in that corner. He kept sticking his foot between the cabinet and the box. I decided to pull everything out...and prove to him that nothing was there. I got the broom out to move the "dust bunnies"...little did I know that I would find a real one!!! It came dashing out...and Pie got him. The little bunny was screaming..like they do. But, got away from Pie. Dashed back in the corner....so, Pie went after him. I pushed Pie out of the way...and the bunny came out again. At that point I reached down and grabbed him. He was screaming at that point. He finally calmed down...but, was wanting out of my hands. He was a little bit bigger than both of my hands. I could feel his heart just racing. I took him outside...had both kitties following me like a parade. Jack took him from me and noticed a half dollar size place that the fur had been torn off. Poor bunny! So, Jack sent me in the house to get some Neosporin to put on the bunny. Jack waited on the porch...with bunny in hand. I put the cream on...and Jack relocated him to a bramble patch that the kitties are too big to fit in. I then came in and pick up the fur and cleaned up the floor. Took the time to reorganize that corner...tossed out some papers etc.

Not a project I had planned to do...but, it got done! The box had a scrapbook from CM...with all the pages and stuff. So, another project to work on!

Oh, my!! What a story!! I'm glad you saved the little bunny and that you got it out of the house. Never a dull moment.

Oh no. I'm sorry about Dustin. Yeah, Mark has the strong stomach for that around here. Now, if it's blood, it's all mine. Or, really, anything other than puke. I just can't take that ... I'll be sick right along with them.

Oh, goodness. That poor horse!!! He probably didn't know what to think of that woman. Glad it didn't take much for Jack to get the horse in there.

We left for Family Fun Day and went to lunch. Then, we went to see Journey 2. Good movie. In my opinion, it was much better than the first one. Besides ... it had The Rock in it ....

After the movie, we ordered the new mattress and box springs for the antique bed we got a few weeks ago and got gas. Then, we headed up to Marietta to the Barnes and Nobel (about an hour from home - but closest one, I think ... unless we were to go south to Newnan .... towards my mil's house ....). Jaydin really wanted to go there because she'd not been to a big bookstore since she started reading the chapter books. She found several she wanted ... along with several horse books (go figure). Jonah found several, as well ... including a 1000+ page book with 7 of Jules Vern's novels in there. I love that my kid WANTS to read the classics.

Then, we stopped by Game Stop (both kids wanted to go there ... go figure) and headed to the square. There's a stamp store there (over an hour from home - so not 'local' for me ... but the ONLY one around). Ahhhhhh .... had a wonderful time there. Found some adorable images by Inky Antics, some Copics I needed, and some new dies.

We had supper and came home. Overall ... a good day.

Got my card done for Perfect Sentiments. Since the theme is all about die cuts, I was able to make it into a Sympathy card for the girl at work.

Such a sad story. I didn't know all of it until today. Seems he's been sick for some time. Had a pacemaker implanted I guess late last year because he was still recuperating. Just able to get up recently and get around. His wife has been having to leave work early to get him to doctor appointments and the other day she left to go get his meds. She found him dead when she got home. She's been staying with one of her bosses since then, who actually lost her husband early last year. They were both shareholders at the firm. So her boss went through this just a year ago. Must have been really hard on both of them. She was having him cremated and not sure when they will have a memorial service. They have grown children and grandchildren so you would think they would want to have some sort of closure where they can express their love and grief.

Off to shower. Then I may have time to work on one more card before bedtime.

Bob likes it with the cream of mushroom. I have found it makes a difference in what brand you use. it's really good with the nacho cheese or cheddar cheese soup. Since it is now just the two of us, I make individuals or a small 9x9 pan and make my own cheese sauce with velveeta. If I make it for me and not sharing with the big guy, I will often times add peas and green beans or broccoli to it.
