Oh icky! Eggs are such a mess on the floor. Sounds like scrubbing will have to get done today.

Just trying to play some catch-up. I thought we were to have storms in here last night and this morning so I unplugged everything. just had some rumbles of thunder and they're past now so I'm working.

Bob pulled out about 9 a.m. and I dove right in to getting my TPT card done and posted. Also worked on the altered book box a bit. Hope I can move forward with it this afternoon.
Have a ton of blog posts to work on and would really like to pound out a couple of contest entries before they have to be postmarked on Thursday. Not sure I'm going to even work on them. It's just been crazy with other contact stuff. We'll see.

The symphony was a wonderful experience Saturday night. Steven and I just missed one another, though I did participate in the Q & A session with the Maestro before the concert. He texted me Sunday morning to apologize for us not connecting.

Sunday morning I drove up to Eureka Springs AR and had brunch at the Best Western Inn of the Ozarks. The hotel manager is such a sweet man. Sunday Brunch is a huge waiting list but Randy found me a table for 1 almost immediately - with my favorite waitress. Afterwards I walked through the historic district up to the Crescent Hotel, stopping to visit with my favorite little pug - Repo - and his owner along the way. As I was leaving town I stopped to take pictures of a Victorian Pencil House I would love to own. I was lucky enough to catch glimpses of a spirit with my facial recognition software. Now I REALLY want that house. LOL I dread the thought of what repairs would cost as everything has to be done according to strict historical renovation codes.

Poor Spirit Kitty. I'm surprised he is still speaking to me. I shut the tip of his tail in the stairway door this morning. Enough that it took a chunk of hair. Poor baby. After I coaxed him out from under the bed with treats so I could look it over and noticed either it broke the skin or that's from where the hair came out, he did let me was it down with a warm rag and isn't running from me. If he just didn't think he needed to try and beat me through a door...

He stopped in Memphis...which gave him about 3 hrs the next day. But, he was so ready to come home. I was glad that after the launch he went back to the hotel and cleaned up and took a nap. Then had dinner with one of the dads and his boys. Got to bed early and was up and out of there before 8am. Made good time I thought! Yes, I was concerned too...but, at least by checking in constantly it made it a little better!

I'm sure they would have...or at least walked away to giggle! I just didn't react quick enough to save them!!! Not sure what I was thinking...but, it did wake me up for sure at that point! I got down there and started cleaning up. Got most of it done when Jack came to my rescue....he finished cleaning it up. Used the cleaning spray and got it all up. I just felt like it would be better to really mop good. Then I noticed that the place mats that we had down looked pretty bad. They were chewed on....and pulling apart. So, when we were out getting kitty food and stuff...we stopped at the dollar store and I picked up a couple of more. These two have fruit on them.....but, hey...they were only a dollar!!! Deal with them for a while. At least they are fresh!

No help from the kitties on the clean up job...which is good!!! Well, the original clean up. Pie had to watch what I was doing while I was mopping the floor. He started to chase the mop and then lost interest!

Ouch! I've done similar things with stepping on or rolling over a kitty and pulling hair out. Reggie really always used to be under my feet and got the brunt of things like that. Glad that Spirit forgave you for abusing him.

I haven't been to Joann's in a long time, but I need to run by there one of these days soon to get some fleece for a baby blanket. In May at church we're going to crochet edging around a piece of fleece to make baby blankets to donate somewhere.

that might be a great idea for my craft group to do as well, we have talked about doing something like that with knitting or crocheting.

One of the neat things I found today was 12x12 clam shells for my magnolia stamps. They fit in a binder & keep all the clingy stamps together so you can see them. I got 2 but I think I'll get more & ditch the CD cases for these.

My boss's first day back from his vacation turned out to be okay for me. He came in late, he left to go to an appointment. I went to lunch with a GF. He came back about 2 and had an meeting with a client and then left at 4. I came home and then went and had dinner with the Single Chicks! Fun times.

Some time ago I bought empty DVD cases for my unmounted stamps. They work really well. Most of them can hold 2 stamps. I'm working on getting them all labeled so I know whats in them. I got a really good deal on them on Amazon.

good morning.....

It's going to be a pretty day today! Gosh, can't believe we'll have rain sometime tomorrow. Figures....we have rocket practice scheduled. Then it will be in the 80's Sat and Sun. Saturday we are suppose to do a rocket talk and launch. Hope that goes well....I mentioned to "someone" that he needs to call the leader and ask about a meadow to use that is in the camping area. So far...he hasn't done it! Otherwise, we won't have the room to fly. If the winds are up...we won't be flying anyway!

Here are 3 pics of the pencil house. The first is a full front view. The house faces main street of this quaint tourist town. Another pic shows the inside of the lower level. I don't think it's more than 10' across and 'maybe' 12' deep. The turn-back staircase is original to the house as is all the gingerbread work you can see in the 3rd picture.

Very quaint! There used to be a house similar to this one not too far from where I live. I always wanted to stop in and ask to see the inside. I haven't been by it in a really long time.

I worked on a card tonight for my DGD out in CA. She's turning 16 in just a few days. I should have had this done days ago and had started it, but the last couple of nights I've been really bummed and didn't do anything productive.

I love Eureka Springs. I'd love to have a little studio I could stay in when I go down there rather than having to get a hotel. I'd be able to go more often.

Seeing the inside is on my To Do List. I have an address and location now so I can research it in the county records and find out more about it.

Glad you had a good day, Soni. I know you enjoyed your visit with Lisa.

I did laundry and mowed. Was nice to be working outside again. Calling for rain tomorrow which means I'll work on the inside of the house My sister, Kitty, is painting her living room this weekend and wanted to know if I was planning to help. I do owe her a couple of projects. She's always come up here and helped us when we were doing the remodel. But I'll have to put Trixie back in the kennel. She's can't see to NOT wrap her lead around a tree. Bear was on it for 3 years and only did it once. Trixie's done it 2x this week LOL.

I'm off to bed. Got my blog post done with my Friday Freebie for tomorrow. So the rest of the morning can go at a slower pace. Sweet Dreams!

Good morning Quackers. Patio slab being poured later this morning. They are supposed to be here at 10 and then I have the closing at 11:30. Window guy is coming tonight at 6! Busy day. I am going into the office this morning and will leave there about 9:30. Not sure if I'll make it back later this afternoon.

good morning! It must be construction friday! They are laying the block for the bath house & retaining wall today. They started at 7:30 this morning & have a full crew here, shouldn't take long! Good luck on your day, Maggie!

I'm not sure....I think he would rather not have to deal with some of these people. I've even mentioned about him rescheduling his dentist appointment since we'll be gone. So far, that hasn't been done either! It goes in one ear and out the other!

At this point...it seems a little late now about tomorrow's outreach. So, if it works...it works. Sometimes these people expect a miracle!

Yeah about the card....sorry about you being bummed and not productive. I'm not sure why I haven't been more productive recently. Hope it gets better, Maggie!
