I bowled a 140,137 and a 117. I just ran out of steam by the last game. I didn't sleep well the night before.

okay....we are planning on going to the high school today and find out what the scoop is for them. At this point, the winds are up and it doesn't look like we'll fly.
Congrats on the 3 wins Suzy. And that was without Jack bowling!!!!! I can't imagine where you got the stamina to bowl so well those first 2 games with all that has been going on.

Good luck with the rocket teams today.

thanks, Maggie......not sure where it came from either!!! LOL

Well, I rethought my plan for grocery shopping. Went to Sprouts first....got those important things there. Now to do the rest of the shopping tomorrow. I figured I might not be back in time to get to the high school.

I found out some interesting news.....left this morning and our main road is blocked a different way now! At least we can still get out...for the moment!! LOL But, the stuff that has been block since Thanksgiving is done! I drove on new road!!!! Wow!!!

No real pain relief, but a new brace. MRI in the next couple of days. Definite MCL tear/sprain, and a possible ACL tear. Praying hard that it is NOT an ACL tear. If it is, it will take surgery to fix.

good to know you saw a competent person and sorry to hear a possibility of surgery...I know you do not want to hear that... none of us want to hear that

Sure hope it's not an ACL. Sending up prayers for you. Just do what the doctor tells you.

Good morning Quackers.

I was really tired after that doctor appointment yesterday. I hate all that messing around with my eyes. He said that they are pretty dry and that's from taking the Zyrtec 2x a day. I'm going to see if I can quit taking it and how I do. Otherwise he told me what kind of tear eyedrops to get although he knows I hate putting drops in my eyes. I worked a little bit on coloring an image but then went to bed about 9:15. Only woke up once until the alarm went off at 5:30.

I saw Corey slinking around the back yard about 8 last night. He's back up in the Pecan tree this morning. I'll get him back down. I don't think he likes the dark and probably feels safer up there.

I do not like drops in my eyes either... I use Clear Eyes to rinse them, but drops are too hard for me

Hi everyone....just dropping by for a quick post. I had a heart attack. I'm doing ok. Doing more tests this week. I am home, but resting alot. On top of that I am having major back problems again, seeing my surgeon on next Tuesday...when it rains, it pours for me. But I am OK...no damage to the heart and no surgery. Just lots of rest. I got help before it became a major event.

Prayers would be appreciated if you are inclined. Bill is NOT home, but will be hopefully tomorrow morning...he's stuck in snow storm at Ft Wayne, IN. He's worried sick...no matter how much I tell him I'm OK.

I'll stop in when I get some more rest.

O M G! Lois, how scary and so happy to hear that you're doing okay. I'm so glad that it isn't worse and that you just need rest and no surgery. Did the doctor talk to you about your diet? Do they know what the underlying cause was?

Yes, saying prayers. Oh, so sorry that Bill is not there with you. I'm sure he must be frantic to get home, but hope he takes it easy on the trip so he doesn't have an accident or something.

Do what the doctors tell you and keep us posted on what is going on. {{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Poor Lois, I am glad you are okay! Rest up & takes things easy.

Shell, how are you today

Maggie, I feel so bad for your nephew, headaches that stop you from being able to get things done are horrble. I hope things work with that therapy.

Soni, the snow is pretty but you can keep it!!!! brrrrrrr

Suzy, how is the nurse holding up? I know you are taking good care of Jack but take care of yourself too please.

Today I felt better & actually ran errands all day. I found a pretty batik (browns & orange) that I thought would work well for our drapes but they only carry 1 bolt of it at each store. So I bought the full bolt at one JoAnn & then had to run to 2 more to find 2 more full bolts. I now have 24 yards of it! and got it all 50% off yay! Next up is to wash & iron it all.

I'm ok. Thanks for asking. I went to supper and church. My leg is really swollen after being out today. I came home, put it up, and iced it. I've got it back in the brace now, and I constantly flex my foot (hopefully, to prevent a clot.....). It's aching tonight, but I assume that's from being up more today. I was up and out for about 4.5 hours today. Yesterday was only about 3, and Monday was only 2.

I'm not sure how it's going to like Friday... we have classes all day with our homeschool group. I'm hoping to sit off in a corner with it up most of the day. Wow ... I'm SO glad I'm not teaching this semester.

Dody ... thank you SO much for the beautiful card!!! You are so sweet to think of me. You did such great work on the card, too. You've always had such a great eye for composition. Brightened my day.

Awesome that you felt better!! Yippee on finding the fabric - and getting it 1/2 off, but what a pain to have to go to more than one store for the amount you need.

That is a lot on your feet, lady! Good idea about flexing your foot. Your welcome (for the card) thanks for the sweet words.

It really was a pain but Bud went with me in the afternoon so at least I had company. I was lucky that the shipment had just come in and that I could even find full bolts. That was my fear..not finding enough of a fabric for 3 windows without ordering online.

Good morning Quackers. Off to the vet in a little bit to take Casper for his declaw.

My GF came over last night to stamp with me! She is actually working on a set of cards (the same kind that I put in the silent auction last week) that we started months ago and have been trying to get back to. She said that she wants to work on these at home, but when she comes to my house, she wants me to teach her what I know, where to get images, challenges, how to color, etc.

The whole time she was here and after, Corey sat on the windowsill and meowed. He so wanted to come inside, but still didn't want anything to do with me. After she left, I went and sat on the doorstoop by him, but if I reach out to him, he hisses and runs off. He finally realized he could climb the fence and was gone next door for a little while this morning, but he's back having breakfast right now. At least he knows where to come back to. I just hope he stays safe out there. The other kitties seem to be okay with him out there.

Glad that you felt better and were able to get out. GReat that you found all the fabric that you need. Ugh on all that ironing. Iron in my language is a four-letter word.

Take it easy on that leg/knee. You don't want to make it worse than it is. I hope you can rest it and stay off as much as possible.

It is, but I'm quite sure that other people with this injury must go to work and such. Surely, they don't sit around all day doing nothing like I've been doing. I have to get this figured out. I'm really not trying to overdo, but I can't imagine sitting here all the time, ya know???

The doctor told me to flex it, and with Jack's situation, I'm paranoid about the clots!!

Yeah, you did great getting the full bolts. I hate when I find what I want and there's not enough to do what I want to do.

I hope the stores weren't far from you.

I have a knee stabilizer on it to keep it from moving. It shouldn't make it worse by being up... I hope. He didn't tell me to stay down and rest all the time, and I don't put weight on it at all. My hands and sides are sore from the crutches, though. I'm hoping I'll toughen up, and that will get better.

hello

well for those on not on facebook wanna hear how my day went ??

I went to pick up a shower gift for Sunday... Wally's cousins youngest daughter is getting married May 4 th

so I go to Penny's to get that gift and decide to go to Sears to get my glasses adjusted, they were out of whack again...hmm maybe some thing to do with my precious 17 month old grand daughter

So this sweet young man that is always so good to me, took my glasses and SNAP off game the right arm piece

I am like " uh I cannot drive home with out those...""

he found a pair of my frames, slightly different in color, put my lenses in those then adjusted them, gave me a hug and said he will try to find a pair the same color as mine, for me ...NO CHARGE

how kind... So now when I an afford to get my eye exam done, I will not need new frames at least...

well, they were an hour away going one way and then a half an hour away going another way ...and then a half an hour way in another direction yeah...we were all over! But that's ok, I am pleased with what I got. One bolt is washed , ironed and cut for 2panels/1 window. I needed a bolt per window to get 3 yard cuts so I'll have 2 yards extra per bolt. I'll make pillow cases & lining for tote bags with the extra.
