Dody....so, are you able to buy more than a mud puddle? Or do you have to wait a little longer to find out? I always wanted a hot tub. We talked about doing that during phase 2 of our house. Gosh...phase 1 has been 20 years now!

Do need to go to the grocery store today and go by the bank. Since we don't have bank or mail delivery on Monday. I thought I had better plan my day. I do need to get an envelope ...probably padded. Dody...your scarf is done!!! Whoo-hoo! It turned out pretty cool!!! So....trying to get that ready to go out.

Yum.. chinese.

Go you on the 2 pounds!

Yes, it is important to use all of your points. If you don't then you're not getting all of your calories in - which in turn turns your body to starvation mode and will stop burning... and start storing. This will impede your progress over the long-term. I think that's part of my lack of weight loss problem so I'm trying to keep a better eye on it and eating every 3 hours.

HI ladies.
Sounds like a productive day around here for all of us.
I have four loads of laundry on the line and the bleach load is waiting it's turn at the dryer. I've done my work-out. Not quite 90 min but I had a distraction of someone coming in and out of the house. Couldn't complain. He did take care of the dogs and got most of the outside Christmas lights down.

Goddess has decided she thinks she needs out. I swear if she weren't fixed, I'd swear she was in heat. She keeps going to the door and crying. She hasn't been an outside cat for three years. Not sure what's up with her. But she's driving me nuts. Bob would say that's a short trip. hehe.

We're going out for catfish tonight. We don't do it as often as we used to because everything except the baked beans and cole slaw is deep fried. But it's a nice treat once in awhile. I'll just have to work out tomorrow and I usually take the weekend off.

After supper I have a meeting to attend. I guess the Shannon Co. Saddle Club is losing members so I'm going to cover the meeting for the paper and see if we can't get them some exposure. Then.. if I'm lucky, I'm home the whole rest of the weekend. Bob has meeting tomorrow. I thought about going to the coffee shop for the day and use their wifi to catch up on the scraprack chat organization videos. Haven't decided yet.

Suzy, I can't wait!!! I'll get a check in the mail asap. We won't hear about the $$$ for the pool for a while. Seems like things move s-l-o-w around here.

When I was at JoAnns yesterday I saw that the remnants were 70% off. I was looking for fabric to make pillows but even with the sale price of home decor fabric (60% off) it was more than I wanted to spend BUT 60% plus another 70% off....now you're talking! Plus the pillow forms are 50% so today I made 2 pillows & will go back up & make a few more. I want to recover 2 small ones too. Nothing like easy projects!

I'm making Sue's Ham & Bean soup too, perfect for the chilly weather. Such a shame it takes so stinking long to make.

We ended up going to Luby's. Love that place. I had grilled chicken breast with steamed broccoli (no sauce) and steamed squash. I also had a whole wheat roll. It was all really good. I probably used up all my points for today. I wasn't hungry when I got home, so I just made some oatmeal with dried cranberries.

Dody, I want to hear about everything you bought at JoAnn's maybe you can jump start my "creative" juices ...
Maggies cards and your ideas and ability with material , well they always inspire me
and I even get envious, in a good way
Hope you had a good day cleaning up and cleaning out!

Thank you Soni. It was really outside my comfort zone, but I enjoyed making it.

We had ice, sleet and snow from Saturday afternoon til Sunday morning. What a mess! We didn't go anywhere, just stayed home watching tv in front of the fireplace. Enjoying our time together since he's not home that much.

Hope everyone is having a good day so far!
Glad that Bill was able to get his truck fixed and you guy had a few extra days together. Would not want to be on the road in that kind of weather which is one reason I moved from PA to TX. It does get cold here, but we seldom have ice or snow.

Thanks. Now if I can just keep it up. No Chinese - went to Luby's. If you don't have them there, it's a cafeteria style restaurant. They do have excellent food.

WTG on the Michael's deals. Yes, I think getting the box down counts as a start. How else could you get started?

I think I'm going to have to figure out what to fill in those empty spaces with. Last night I still had 4 points left, so I made a Cranberry Citrus English Muffin. Ate it without anything on it. It was 6 points, but I just took 2 from my 49 extra for the week. I do also eat something about every 3 hours. I have breakfast about 7, a banana at 10, lunch about 12, yogurt and fruit at 3 and then dinner at 6 and maybe some fruit about 8 if I get hungry.

I have to work in the small storage room tonight and get all the shelves cleaned off where the new shelves are going up. I need to make sure that's ready if he does come by at 8 a.m. tomorrow.

Oh, and guess what! My GF that suggested that cleaning lady to me that I'm not having come back, well, turns out that she's not happy with her either. Said she's not really cleaning her house like she wants it and thinks that if she's paying someone, then she wants her to do a better job than she would herself. Which is my thoughts exactly. I finally told her my experience I had with her but I didn't tell her about her showing up at my doorstep a couple Saturday's ago. So, now we're both back to looking for someone.

I think I have counted 5 phone books , all the same kind, and 7 cel phone batteries, and a shirt that he had on in a pic from 1979
so that gives you an idea of what we have to go through : )

oh and he documented everything, when he bought it, where he went, what he saw , the weather that day , and that list goes on and on

Your job sounds like when my DD's had to clean out their dad's house after he passed away. Good luck with all that.

Good morning Quackers. I didn't get an e-mail from the contractor, so I'm planning that he'll be here at 8 am this morning. He better not get here any earlier!

Well, it's 8:15 and no sign of my shelves yet! And I got up at 6:30 so I'd be ready.

Have a load of laundry in the washer and off to tidy up the house and make a grocery list.

He did finally show up at 8:30 and left at 10:45. Got the shelves up in the bedroom and now I have books on them.

The shelves in the storage room are fabulous and I've got room to put a lot of stuff on them. No time to do that today though. I've been cleaning the rest of the house while he was working, so I've got most everything tidied up. I do need to vacuum and mop. I'm going to eat some lunch and then go to the grocery store.

When I was at JoAnns I bought a ribbon ladder for $18 (on sale) Let me tell you, it is wonderful!!! I put all of my ribbon on it, can see every one and it only takes up 12" of space on the desk! Before my ribbon was in 3 MS keepers plus a SU ribbon holder. The MS ones you can't really see the ribbon just where it feeds out of the slot. I even have extra room! This is a great tool.

That is pretty cool, but I've got way too much ribbon for one of those. I'd probably have to have a wall full of them.

My ink pad storage is NOT narrow, nor is it white. I have two of those large carousel types that hold all the ink pads, marker, and reinkers. I can't remember who makes them, but they are wooden and very heavy and very big, but I really like them. One of them has 2 drawers in it and there is also room on top for storing items.

I store them by colors in different kinds of boxes and then they are kept on some of my shelves. Here are a couple photos.

that is a lot of ribbon but then you do love it! I have sen those ink storage systems & they do work well. I might look into some small cubbies. I seem to have a white system going here might as well stay with it.

sounds cool picture please if it is not too much trouble ... I need a bit of help with ribbon

I broke down and ordered one from the company Krista did She has the carousel style, I bought the flat against the wall style looks like an old tape holder kind of ... I love it yes a bit pricey, but I was doing my new room I have the link I think if you want to look

It sounds like Maggies might be made by the same company...I think now they do paint them too
mine is unfinished wood

after seeing a part of Maggies in a picture, I am not sure if it is the same company

So glad to hear that your shelves are up and you are happy : )

Speaking of happy, I think I have three girls o the way here for an overnight and play day tomorrow

We did get more done today, I know Tammy needs a break... I hope she can relax and just enjoy her girls a little bit

Mike is leaving early am if not sooner... I hope she can have a better feeling and thoughts of him today than she did when he came ... As time went on, you could see him drain and the sadness was more evident ...

I would, too, Maggie. Hmmmm ... a ribbon ladder wall .... that might be pretty cool.

Good morning Quackers. Got to sleep in a little bit this morning. I've got a ton to do to get ready for dinner tonight. Oh darn, I forgot to get cash for my DGS for his birthday. Guess I'll have to give him a check this time.
