Yep...I use our long dining room table for cutting out material. I like that I can walk all the way around it. I put my cutting mat on there...and away I go! Right now it's cluttered (to the max!) with paper stuff! So....I want to go over all of that....and get that figured out. Want to do some sewing this year! My sewing room is very small...so, it doesn't lend itself to having a cutting table up in there.....I do have several shelves...along with my table that has shelves. Plus, my ironing board stays up all the time. That is a must! Besides needing it to iron on....which happens every great while! It's Pie's hang out by the window! LOL

It's warming up...it says it's 40* on the porch. Still feels cold to me!

The rocket teams aren't ready to fly today. Why doesn't that surprise me any? Anyway, neither one of us really wanted to be in the snow and cold this afternoon. So, it works out! Plus with the snow...most of the parents don't want their kids staying late anyway. Can't blame them....I wouldn't either as a parent.

yeah, not sure how that would go over; Stephanie was grossed out by my just talking about it. The great Blue is back walking the yards looking for his next meal. The gopher population is out of control here.

Suzy, can you throw in a load for me too? I have a few loads to do but I am too tired right now. We had the workers come back & add another closetmaid shelf in the master closet; which meant I had to empty everything out. I switched things around & got it all organized nice. After 2 moves I really need to take down all of Bud's shirts & wash & iron them nicely. They are pretty much a mess now. Now that's a job I don't look forward to!

Yeah ... I need to deal with an ironing space, too. I may make a fold-down ironing table ... where it folds down from the wall. That would keep it from being out and a hindrance all the time. I don't want to use the cutting table for that like I have been doing. I don't want to warp the melamine. I haven't figured out another good way to do the ironing table.

Hahaha! Don't want to mess with his hangout!

I think it would be a cool picture, but I can see where sensitive souls might be grossed out.

HI ladies
We got the wood brought in for the week. With Bob and I working together it took less than an hour as opposed to the normal 2 hours for me alone. Afterwards we went in to Memories Sweet shoppe for a bacon cheese burger. She makes them from scratch... none of those frozen patty things. And she doesn't press the life out of them. Her cheesy potato soup hit the spot, too.

Now Bob is of to the gun range, visiting with his cronies hehe while I try to get some work caught up here. I have a ton of stuff to get done. Just having trouble focusing on one at a time hehe.

Shell, busy getting the Lair ready? Does Mark think you're a lioness?
Thanks Dody.

Different things had a part in a couple of their names. Chancey was actually named Van Chancellor who was the Head Coach of the Comets back in the day when they were doing so good. Paisley and Reggie were named by my GF who rescued them and raised them until I got them. She called Maggie Mae, Maggie Foster after me when I gave Maggie Mae to her to take care of until we could find her a home. When I got her back, I just started calling her Maggie Mae.

Not sure if anyone else had problems getting on here last night....but, it certainly wouldn't go to SCS. Kept saying there was an error. I guess that was about 8pm...my time.
So glad that didn't come down this far. They had talked about sleet, but we didn't get that.

Sorry that SCS was being bad for you.

The pictures were really pretty. What a great area to live in.

I am thinking that a trip to JoAnns is on today's 'to do' list. They have some intersting sales.

Good morning Quackers.

Dody, you keep having to brag about your warm temps! It's in the mid 30's here today, but it should warm up later in the week and we should have a nice weekend.

well, that may have to wait now. The pool contractor just called & has his team together to do a look see at our back yard. Good thing he called early cause I would have been out of here. I guess I'll look over the ad again & make a plan. Won't want to miss anything, lol.

I caved in Ladies. After a neighbor asked if I got Medicare yet I went out and bought some color for my hair. It is on now (still feeling too cheap to pay a stylist after all my hair is short now! ) I am used to being asked if I was Jen or Stef sister...okay those days are over but now I look older than I am so...... Since I don't like this new haircut, I needed something that I do like when I look in the mirror. Gosh. I hope it works!

Good for you if it makes you feel better! I'm not even sure how gray my hair would be if I didn't put color on it. I know it's not the pretty white like my mom's was, but probably the dirty gray like my dad's since I have the same color hair he did. If my hair were short, I'd probably do it myself too, but with the longer, it's hard to get the back right.

OH Dody I so understand all that ~ but the gray is part of my life...
I hope you can find a stylist there that " Know" what you like and want

I am ok, the chills left, stress related I am sure, I had not "let go" since I got the call ...So it was time I am drained today so many emotions and emotional things and times... But the day was good, I am so proud of my girls It was all beautiful

Now to help get them past the next level

The color turned out fine, not a huge change but the grey is gone & it's a soft honey color. I finally realized if I was losing weight to look better why not do this as well. *shrugs*

Yes, it's 30* right now! Then it will be 51* today....by Saturday it will be 60*! Which is a good thing since it's a rocket launch. Not fun when it's so cold.....

Well, that was rude! What business is it of hers! I guess she assumed since the area that you are living in now...maybe. My GF has colored her hair since I met her in college. She was a blonde then...now she has gone back to her hair color which is a medium brown. But, lately...she has insisted on a darker red. Well, if that isn't your color....don't go there!!! Where she is grey....which is down her part mostly (the only place I've seen grey at times)....the red took a "brighter" red than the rest of her hair. It sure made you look....like a train wreck! She apparently thinks it's great...or she bought several boxes! It has looked this way the last several times she has done her hair. I've noticed it more when they are getting ready to go out of town. Her grandson's hair has a red tint to it....but, that's natural.

The color sounds perfect for you. I'm letting it mine do it's thing....Mother Nature's Highlights!!! Funny thing is....someone asked me when I was still teaching as to who did my hair. I asked if they wanted to know who cut it. They said no....it was the color! Since I started getting grey/white hair when I was 20 years old...it really sets off with the darker hair. My grandmother had snow white hair when she was 40 years old. Okay....so, I told them who colored my hair....Mother Nature. They wanted to know where "she" was located! Seriously?!!! I'm noticing more of a "frosted" look these days....but with it being longer now....it doesn't matter.

Oh...you will love this.... I went to the stamp show this weekend. I saw a lady that had short hair...nicely style. It was a medium brown...until she turned...and you saw in the front...she had an area of grey hair...like a patch. This was apparently "natural"...the not so natural part in the grey was the area that was shades of purple!!!! Yes, I said purple! She had on a purple scarf (like the ones I'm making these days!). You couldn't help but stare...and try to look away!

I've canceled my hair appointment for the last two weeks....my stylist said to make it for the following week. I canceled it again yesterday....was to get it trimmed this morning. But, it just hasn't grown to the point of needing to be trimmed. With it being naturally curly....it really curls up when it's gotten wet. Well, she trimmed it a little shorter last time...before Christmas. So, the bangs are just now getting to where I like them. She tends to get on the phone when she is cutting my hair. Not sure why she takes that moment to call some one. But, I've gotten tired of it! She then keeps trimming while she talks. Well, then it looks good at that point....but, after being washed it is so much shorter! Does not go over well with someone here at the house! He likes it longer. I have told her not too short on the sides...near my shoulders...and the back. It's the part near my bangs and the top of my head that she has gotten too short. I figure by next week....next appointment....I'll probably go in. Because then it might be time to shape it a bit. But, I will tell her not to go wild trimming!

hahahaha, actually we were talking about Zumba classes & that they were free if you're on Medicare. Then a few days later we were talking with her hubby & he mentioned that that Y was free if you're on Medicare. She answered REAL quick "OH they're too young for that!" and HE said "oh I know!!!" sooo afraid of hurting our feelings! Really it was quite sweet. But I have heard that grey hair ages you 10 years & so I finally decided (after my driver license & passport have me with grey ) just to do it!

Talking on the phone is just rude. Hey, I think we need an updated pic of you!

decided on a day at home~ Krista is trying to retrieve my phone, it is my life link to Tammy so I am really feeling a " need" for it

One nice phone call from a sweet friend, so helpful, not sure my thank you was enough ,,,another call, still has not let me feel "alright " with life, hoping that can still happen...

another cold day here, I am off to my chair with a blanket, I really did not get much sleep last night ...

I have been on the phone a lot today ~ Amy called to see how we all were and run a couple of things past me ... We had a nice visit

Tammy rested and spent the afternoon with her girls, is at a volleyball game for Brooke tonight ~ Cody has a home BB game I opted to stay home, I have only seen him play one night this year... And Ali is here with me, she had a head ache and wanted to rest, so she came here ... So it is looking like a quiet night hoping to go to bed early is possible...

I did get my Nativity packed away and that and a small snowman tree put in the basement, I think there is just one more snowman, the big fiber optic one to put away... then the out side decorations can be worked on

I have one gal I won't go back to. She never cuts it the same way twice. Last time it was way too short. It's finally back out where I like it on the sides and back but the top needs cut again.

So I've decided when I see someone who's hair I like, I'll find out where they get it done.

As to yours, Suzy.. I think I'd politely ask her to stay off the phone while she's cutting your hair. You are her present customer and the only one she should be paying any attention to. If she's the one who has to make the appointments... STOP CUTTING... make the appointment then come back to it. I'm just not very nice when it comes to poor customer service.
