Maggie...that's too funny about "the voices" at your house. Pie has really turned into a talker since we lost Sunny. Topsey on the other hand does raise his voice when he is fussy!!! Being the old man that he is....some days for him are more vocal than others. Namely when Pie is involved! LOL

LOL! I'd be more vocal if pie was involved also. Sorry, couldn't resist the pun.

I noticed over the weekend that Paisley was more talkative than she usually is. Mostly she just curls up in the living room on her favorite couch, but she's wanted a little more attention the last few days.

Well Faith and I had a good morning, she ate good watched Mickey, we played a little, ~ tho she was not happy at laying down, but her actions showed me she needed it

While she is down, I did get a few things done, found dress slacks for tomorrow, got dressed swept and mopped kitchen and bath, it was nasty being tracked in om with the snow and ice ...
Donnie called to see how the girls and I are doing, so we had a good talk, he brought some thing up that he wanted Amy to add in to her words

I checked in with Tam, they are doing pretty good, still a couple of stops to locate music and hoping to find a printed sheet with a specific story telling song ...

I am off to see if I can locate that for them ~ online

I finally got an update on my blog for Teapot Tuesday from last week. Yes, I'm behind again.

If you haven't seen it, I also posted a Memorial to Reggie on there last Friday. Since she was one of the cats in "Maggie's Cat House" I thought it appropriate to remember her there and tell her story.

OH I missed that, I am off to check on that ~

Faith woke up from her morning nap happy, ate really good, and we walked and played and rocked and ate some more ...

She is about ready to go back down for a little while ...it sure is hard work being a busy toddler : )

I just never see one that large on the pictures I see, and I wanted to make sure that others thought it was a good idea. Does that make sense? It seemed like a good idea to me, but I couldn't figure out why no one else was going with one that large.

Thank you for the input! I really do appreciate it.
Shell, mine is 4x8 with an extra 2x2 drop leaf on one end for piece pressing. It was originally our Kitchen Island/ table that I designed and Bob built. Now it's in the basement and great for cutting or crafting on. We covered it with counter top laminate.

Although it opens to 4x8... we actually cut 1 foot length off the long sides and turned them into drop leafs... so the main part is 2x8 with a 1 foot drop leaf on each side. I'll post a pic.... when I get it cleaned off - hopefully tomorrow hehe

Thanks Kel, I hear the girls and Mike were able to get all of the music they wanted plus some old story telling ones all put on a CD at Berean Book Store...
Tammy is thrilled, she asked how did I always know where to go look for things...

The girls are working on getting some pictures on a board tonight and some in an album too, and I think everything else is in order... I just need to check and see if she did one thing she needed to ...

Dustin got off the bus here after school, and as soon as he walked in he smiled, and asked if I made him cookies, he could smell them ...
So he was a happy little boy, then he found out that Faith was here ...so double that happiness...
they are snuggled in my chair watching cartoons...

Tammy and Brooke will be here in an hour , to work on things and pick up Faith... I do believe after a nice hot bath, I will be ready for bed early tonight

I am trying to write a few lines just some thing from my heart, I hope I can finish that , and print it, I do not want to read it, just lay it among pictures

Glad you all were able to find all that you needed for tomorrow's service, Soni.

I was able to get out for just a little while. I knew that my car needed to be filled up with gas, so I didn't want to wait until the morning to do that. I also needed just a few things at the grocery store. It was nice though to just be able to rest today and finish up my PSC card. I'm really happy to be back to crafting again. It was nice to have a break, but I really missed it too.

busy night here finishing up things unfortunately I am not feeling good
I have the chills and cannot get warm, tummy issues too

I am hoping it is only stress, and will be better by morning

the girls are still here doing things , I am ready for a hot bath and bed... as soon as I pick up toys and make sure I have things ready for me ... or maybe I will just do that when I get up

Soni, sure hope you're not getting sick. I heard on the news tonight that there are at least 4 strains of the flu going around so some people are getting it multiple times even if they've gotten a flu shot. So take care of yourself.

I spent some time in my craft room tonight working on a fun card. Can't wait to finish it up tomorrow night.

yes I saw that too ... thanks Maggie

I really think it is just being tired since I did not sleep well last night, and a bot of stress... when I stank shiver , for no reason it usually is...

So I am off to bed with prayers for peace for all tomorrow and for me to be strong, and compassionate

hot bath, mattress cover heated already...I should be warm in no time

night

Good morning Quackers. The weather is so icky here this morning, but it's back to work time.

Soni, you and the girls are in my thoughts and prayers today. I hope you are feeling better and that all goes well.

Good Morning

Soni, thinking of you & Tammy & Krista...wrapping you with prayers for peace.

Maggie, that was a touching piece about Reggie on your Blog. Got me thinking about the name of your cats. How did you come up with them?

Shell, busy getting the Lair ready? Does Mark think you're a lioness?

Sign that you live in the country: when you look out your back yard & see a great blue heron EATING a gopher! wow, that was amazing in a gross kind of way. He can come back for more though cause I am not fond of the gopher mounds in the yard either.

Good Morning, I slept much better... I only woke up once thru the night ...

I see my typing was way off last night, another sign of being tired, or shaking from being cold...

Brrr 14 is not very warm, but at least the sun is supposed to shine mostly thru the day

thank you Maggie and Dody...

Mark had me go up there last night to look through a couple of things. It's very close to being completely cleaned out. We talked about the cutting table and how it would be oriented. I think I've decided to put one side (a 4 ft side) next to the wall. That will prevent me from having to buy cubbies for one end, but will still allow me to get to 3 sides of it. As I thought about it last night, I realized that the main goal of the room is to have a space for the cutting table. If I'm able to move other things in there, great. If not, that's fine, too. I just need to make sure that I have a cutting space that works because the way I've done it in the past just doesn't work.

Lioness?? I wish ..... I think it's more on the lines of a dragon ....

Just a thought... can you make it to where you can move it out away from the wall if you need to? I work with a 4x8 and it is really nice not having to reach across if I'm cutting something big, or to try turning it (like a dress pattern). Being able to walk around and cut from that side is much easier. Just something to think about.

Looks like a morning for hauling wood. Bob was looking at the weather map, and although it doesn't look like it outside right now, we should start seeing snow about 11 a.m. ugh. Was so hoping it could get above 25 degrees before we had to do that. Oh well. We'll get it done then I can get a hot shower and not think about going back out.

Maybe.... clean my studio? hehe

morning...
WE have snow on the ground!!! The schools in our area haven't closed....so, that means we'll be going to the school with the teams. Suppose to fly today....so, we'll see what happens.

Not sure if anyone else had problems getting on here last night....but, it certainly wouldn't go to SCS. Kept saying there was an error. I guess that was about 8pm...my time.

I put my desk against 2 walls to save space, it's a smallish room (12x12) the side that has the bookcase against the wall, I put facing under the desk. I can still store things there that I don't use often. Those cubbies can get pricey when you buy the bigger ones. I think I am going to put a 12 cube one next to the desk & remove the brown shelves on the other wall. That will free up an entire wall in case we need a twin bed or something like a couch there.

Dragon???oh..

I can't wait to see finished pictures of this room; heck lets see progress reports!

Bud enjoyed it too, he got pictures of the bulge in the throat after he ate it but missed 'the shot'.

Suzy, SCS has been wonky for me for a while now. Some times it works well, sometime it freezes up. Yeah, I got that error message last night too.

In honor of your snow (Sue posted a pic on FB) I took some pictures with my iPod on my morning walk for y'all of my neighborhood.

Dody....loved the pictures....saw them on FB. It sure doesn't look like any FL that I've been to before!

Yes, Sue did post a picture of snow. It was taken from her front porch....looking east.

Being able to walk around and cut from that side is much easier. Just something to think about.

I think that getting to 3 sides (both long sides) will be effective... at least I hope it will. I can move it around when I'm putting it together, and I'll be able to take it apart and move it if I need to.

Thanks for the thoughts! I can use everyone's opinion. They help me decide how best to make it work for me.

Maybe.... clean my studio? hehe

Stay warm .... and send snow our way.

Yeah, that's why I was planning to put the short end against a wall. It would give me more floor space and keep things open as much as possible.

The cubbies are pricey, but I think they are what I want. They will all be a uniform height, and that's what I need to make it all work together.

Yeah .... you know I can't be the nice one.

Tonight, I'll post a picture of what it looks like right now if you want. There is still a good bit that has to be relocated, but it's getting there.
