Thank you we bought that in 97 when both girls left home ...we bought it at KMart with a 20 % discount and paid 79.99 for it The next week end it went on sale for 59.99 and they refunded me that difference
The branches all swooped downward and almost touched the floor ~ so beautiful ~ but no room for gifts~ Wally tweaked it a bit and it has held up well for 14 years... But I think I am ready to change Some thing more manageable for me ...

Does anyone have any of the Dance series? I thought that might be fun & Dance 1 & 2 should be cheap now.
I think Krista's house has all of them, and Tammy and Brooke have 3 or 4
I have never played but I love to watch the kids and the adults too
Glad you got all " fixed "
decent scores Suzy, not bad for missing a week or two
What sewing do you have on the agenda this year Suzy ?
it's the quilt that Jack's grandma started....I want to be able to finish it this year! So...I want to get the table cleared off....and figure out what I need to do for the quilt.

Yep, you couldn't tell that we had any bad weather last night. I think it totally missed us! Which is fine with me...but, we could have used the moisture!

dessert in oven, carpet shampooed, tree down, had hot water all day ( after none yesterday til 10:00 pm ) ...the day was going so good
then...
due to a not good situation, mama Sue is on her way here to Bring Brooke and Faith to me ...Tammy and Krista will be taking care of grandpa until they transport him tomorrow for a respite again at a nursing home and waiting for permanent placement ...
The nursing staff pulled nurses without telling Tammy... due to a "not understanding her motives " and went over the head nurse who was out sick...
can you say STRESS ?? oh and lots more emotions right now ...

Our temps are supposed to climb up into the mid 30's
But that means rain and or sleet and ice instead of snow flurries
Then when it drops to 20 tonight, yep more ice yuk
Faith was up for an hour or so, we rocked, I do not think she was really "awake" She seemed to be "stuffy" so I imagine she was just having trouble breathing... but she is still asleep now ,
So am off to enjoy my tea and wait for her to start her day
Sorry Soni about all the issues going on up there. Hope things can get sorted out.
Rain here this morning. Ugh! I guess it's good that at least it's not freezing rain or snow.
Well, the cleaning lady showed up on my doorstep at 8 a.m. this morning. She said that I said for her to come every 3 weeks. Actually, I never said that - she did, but we never really talked about it. At this point, I was not ready for her to be here, and I'm not really sure that I want her to come back. I told her I would call her. I still need to check around for someone else that will know how to use the equipment I have and listen to what I say rather than thinking that she knows it all.

sorry Maggie ...I hope you can find some one to come as you wish and do as you want ~ I know my mom and I were always busy, but as most things today , it is very different
and thanks, We are not exactly sure why the nurse staffing company did this ... just added stress in a very sad and difficult time ... Praying for permanent place soon ~ then lots of work to empty and clean out a house
As soon as I take my two large snowmen to the basement and pack away my nativity set I will be done ~ My house looks nice again with clean baseboards and shiny furniture and clean glass in cabinets oh and clean carpet again too
Soni....you have been busy!! I need to do a reorganizing of stuff....wish I had a basement! That would make things easier! Hope things do settle down with the girls. Sorry to hear that the nursing staff changed some things.
Maggie...oh my! I don't think I would have been ready for this cleaning lady either! To just show up and that's not really what you planned. Then to have her not use the equipment you have. Hmmm...doesn't sound like the perfect match. She is suppose to be working for you...not the other way around. It sounded like she wanted this time slot...namely when you didn't agree to it in the first place. Have you looked into those cleaning services? Like the Mini-Maids...or Cleaning Maids ...something like that. My SIL had a service that came. It was the same crew each time. They came on a certain day to do the house. Let me tell you...that sure was strange sitting at the house while they were working! I asked her what would happen if we weren't there when they came....she said they had a key. That they are bonded and insured. She was so upset when her DH decided to retire from the Air Force....because that meant that she couldn't have this company come and clean once a week. She was going to have to do it. Oh my! I thought first of all....get your kids to start picking up there stuff...that's half of it. The kids were teenagers at the time. So, I can only imagine that those kids have never cleaned anything in their lives! Alright....I'm stopping there! Don't want to get started on that subject.....LOL

Hi Ladies, day #3 for excerise. I walked slower today with my neighbor and felt each hill we climbed but at least I did something. And I met the new neighbor who moved in yesterday...the one who sews & quilts! yay!!!!
Soni, hugs for all of you...sounds like a really rough time...again.
Suzy, that SIL sounds like a piece of work! I would not feel right about giving anyone a key to the house that I didn't know very well, bonded or not. To each their own!
Maggie, sorry you are having so much trouble getting a decent cleaning lady. Yes, you are a boss about when she comes & what she does. Is her English understandable? Or should I say does she understand English?

I can do a lot of stuff myself, but I'd like to have someone do the bathrooms, floors, and maybe the inside windows twice a year. I do have the name of a service - Annie's Maid Service and I've been meaning to call them to see how they are set up, but with being on vacation and then getting back to work, I haven't had the time to do that. I will though.

Cute name. That should be fun. I got an e-mail about the show in Grapevine, but that's too far for me to go and I really do not need to be buying more stuff, especially after I organized my stuff last night. I also want to place an SU order soon. My GF at work wants some things too, so I'll probably do that this week.

Good for you on the walking.
That's great that you'll have someone close by that shares an interest.

I don't really want to be too picky, but I do want someone who will listen to me and not think that they know it all and then not do what you want. She seems to understand English okay and I was pretty much able to understand her. She just wants to do things her way.

we are having a lazy Saturday here ... Mickey waffles for breakfast ~ imagine that ~ Faith did not get up til 10:00
`I am still in my jammies ~ Faith just went down for a nap, so I will get dressed and do dishes ~ and see if Brooke wants to do anything...
We have flurries right now 31 degrees so if it warms up it will be more rain/ sleet I hear Peoria and Washington have rain
It is a good day to be inside and have grand daughters here
Ali is at cheer practice and will cheer at a game at 2:00 or she would be here too
Justin & Liz were here this afternoon. We worked on costumes for their next play Cinderella and then got 2 pizzas. My question; is $38 a lot to pay for 2 large pizzas? We thought so, one was veggie delite & one was deluxe. Unfortunately we don't have a Pizza Hut near by to get the great deal they have going on...$10 any size any pizza.
PJ days are the best! Add Mickey waffles & it just gets better. I want to buy a waffle maker for when we have guests too...maybe not Mickey tho ;
Even if the pizza was pricey I did get 2 little fairy tables with it. LOL...come on, ya'll know you think of a tiny table when you see the little thingajig that holds the lid from crushing in.

$19 does sound like a lot for a large, but if you don't have a Pizza Hut, you don't have a lot to bargain with.
Awesome! That works. Paint them a stone color/texture. That would be precious.
And .... FYI .... Mickey waffles taste better than regular ones.....

Dody, that does seem high for 2 lg pizzas, even our shop in Washburn was not that high ~ and they were a family owned business... but then we never paid full price probably

That is way too high for a pizza no matter where you get it from. How much are they charging for delivery?????? Well, I was just looking online at pizza prices, and there is a place called Frank's Pizza that costs about that much. They sound really good though - specialty pizzas.

I don't do pizza, so I don't know what the "tiny tables" look like, but glad that you've gotten something to put in your collection for your fairy garden.

I have a small George Forman, but would love to have a larger one that the plates come off so you can wash them. I do still want an outside grill. Maybe this summer.
I've been doing this and that today - getting the house picked up, changed the linens, did some laundry, went to the grocery store. Yikes! Spent a ton of $$. I did buy some very expensive supplements though. I always like to get them when they have Buy One, Get One Free. That's when I stock up. I got most everything ready for church tomorrow. I still need to print off a title and cut out a couple die cuts for my calendar.
I did find a dessert recipe that I'm trying for our family get together tomorrow. It really sounds good. You put a layer of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough in the bottom of your pan, then put a layer of Oreo cookies (I used mint ones); and then make brownie batter and pour that over the top and then cook. Decadent! Can't wait to try it. I sure hope it's good.
I did work on my Pins card tonight. Still have to do one for PSC. But that will wait until tomorrow. I'm off to bed now. Our church meetings have been moved to 12:30 PM this year, so I get to sleep in a little bit. I do hate getting done at 3:30 though.
Dody....the price of the pizza did sound high...but, when that's all you have....got to roll with it. I know those "tiny tables" you were talking about. I think I still have a box of them in the garage. We use to use them for painting Easter eggs at school.

yes I love my outside grill, but here I t is too much trouble to use in colder weather, I keep it in the garage now at the other house it was on the back porch and easy to get to
if I continue to use this that may be some thing I look at too, but I this will be fine for me hard to believe I have never used one
