Well after 2 really messy diapers, and a fussy girl, a bath seemed to help calm her, then some rocky rock time...She is already down, she only had one short nap today and cutting more teeth, it feels like a bottom tooth below an eye tooth... poor baby...

I am off to pick up toys, get my jammies on too... and enjoy some Ovaltine , maybe a book I am still working on #100
I will rest tonight and go to bed early, so if she wakes up in the middle of the night I will be ready to get up with her ...

Oh, poor kid. I hope they can ... or will ... do something to help. I can't believe the neurologist has a PA that can't help her. That's scary.

the sad part is the actual neuro specialist is very hard to understand, it was nice that the PA spoke english : ) but it would be nicer if she understood all of the facts

Ali has an ear infection so she is on amoxicillon with drops for pain, that is all I know right now... I am hoping a couple of days resting and taking meds will help She has a lead role in the school play, and It is coming up soon... I sure hope missing school and being sick does not cause her to loose her part~ she has worked so hard for it... Of course just getting well and being sure there is not an issue from her syndrome is most important ...

Soni, how is Ali this morning? I sure hope she is feeling better soon, when is the play? I know how hard the kids work on these & it would be heartbreaking for her.

Poor little Faith, I hate that she is in pain also. Poor Gramma! I hate those messy diapers.

Dogs are bathed already, sure amazing how stinky they get so quick! Their beds are in the wash as well. Yesterday I cleaned the kids closet & made a bit more room. Then I remembered that we were going to add another shelf to 3 closets & that will help too. Right now we're just doing a little each day. I am off to finish book #90, Wicked Business. The Wicked series is no where near as funny as the Stephanie Plum series but it's a quick read.

Hi Debby! Well, I'm wondering what happened to the last 17 years! Today is my DGD's 17th birthday and I just can't wrap my head around the fact that she's all grown up! And a beautiful young woman I might add. Love her and the rest of my grands to pieces! They are all so precious to me.

Events are never as much fun when you have to be in charge. Bet all the kids will have a great time though.

So sorry for Ali and Krista. You would think if the clinic had a PA that she would be knowledgeable in what they are treating. Hope she's doing better today.

Good morning Quackers!

I spent some time last night cleaning up the house - picking up stuff and putting things in their proper place. Today is the real cleaning day - dusting and floor and my bathroom! Since I did all the puttng away last night I hope the cleaning goes quicker. Of course then there is laundry and grocery shopping. There are a couple things on the events calender for tonight, but I don't think I"m going to make it to either one of them.

I have not heard from the Quick household yet today~but the ER doctor said she should feel some immediate relief with her meds and lots of rest will help too

And another really messy one to start off our day It breaks my heart to see her little bottom red, tho hers is not really bad... She does pretty good for teething, I think it bothers me more than it does her

hi all....

Well, I'm moving slow this morning. I did get the books done last night...not much to them. Need to organize my bag to take with me. Jack's car is full of rocket stuff. Let's hope it finds a new home! We are having a swap meet after the elections.

I was upstairs again this morning rearranging that closet. I got the big box with the mircowave in there so that helps. The rental house did not have a working mircowave so Bud bought a really nice big Stainless steel one thinking we would use it here, but I don't want it on my counter taking up room. Anyhow getting it into the closet helps. Now I am thinking about those Pininterst craft rooms that us a door as a desk. If I use my 2 white bookcases to hold it, I would not have to invest much money...always a plus! And the door is bigger tan most desk tops...win!

Ot is a shame you are not using that microwave... I bet it takes up a lot of room ...

I have seen those ideas using a door but even a board painted white and either polyurathane it or put clear contact paper on it..just more ideas, maybe it can lead you to yet another idea

It has been a fun day, Tammy and Faith stayed all day and are still here
Ali was able to come over and lay on the couch for a while,

We moved a few things around so Keith can put my tree up, I am hoping he does that tomorrow... We did put the kitchen decorations up and talked about doing a couple of more things in there...
If it is nice out side tomorrow I think I will put some pf my decorations in the yard while Tammy is here to help!If we can I know she needs to go to town to meet some one too

Faith was a lot of fun tonight, just playing and laughing and being silly...I am off to get mt PJ's on, and visit with Tam before I head to bed...

Girl, You really gotta get in here more!

Cool on kids' first deers. That's always exciting for them. Bob will have had to miss everything except Alternative firearms... and he only gets the first 4 days of that just before he goes back out

I've been up since a little after 5. Trying to get some things caught up before we head for Springfield. I just did not get accomplished what I'd hoped to yesterday.

We went into Winona for breakfast and got the outside decorations + bathroom decorations from storage. Bob got the lights put on the house while I got the outside tree up and decorated.

Soni - he finally got my gingerbread man flag up! Geez... it only took how long? LOL

It was 68 degrees yesterday while we were putting up decorations. It is December, right? LOL

Then I had to cover our Christmas in the Park and holiday parade last night. My write-up for the paper will be easy this week.

By the time I got home, I was tired. Bob warmed up supper while I got the dishes done. But I still have stuff that needs done before we leave this morning. I'm thinking a bath is next on my list.

oh yeah, the bathroom decorations didn't get put up yesterday. Not sure when this week either. We won't get home until late afternoon tomorrow (Mon), I have an interview with an world-renowned orchestra conductor on Tuesday, hopefully the Kenny interview on Wed, Holiday stroll to cover for the paper on Thursday. Friday I'm "off" then back to Springfield on Sat.

Yep, Maggie... My snowmen stay up in the bathroom through January. It helps that the bathroom is my favorite room in this house (yep, even above my kitchen lol) All the snowmen and snowflakes just give me a warm cozy feeling in there... real wintery comfort kind of feeling.

Bob went Christmas shopping on Friday while I was working. I think he either got me my notebook (mini laptop) or the new stereo for my truck. I'm hoping to do some shopping for him at Bass Pro today. He wants a Union Suit of all things but trying to find one-piece long underwear to fit his length is not going to be easy.

I've uploaded 10 more cards to VikkiJo's album. If you want to see the cards everyone sent her direction, the keyword is CCC12VJ

I'm off to get my bath. By then Bob will be awake and we can start our day.

Hello. I am checking in kind of late today, we all slept in til 8:00 ~ well Tammy and Faith were up from 2:00 - 4:30 ~

I enjoyed some play time and rocky - rock time before they left

I sure do miss them as soon as they leave

I want to try to put some outside decor up today since it is near 60 ... There is so much I cannot do alone... Maybe after Krista gets home from a few errands or tomorrow she can help me with a few things out there

I hope Keith can set my tree up today or tonight, but it is hunting season, so I doubt it ... I think I will go run the sweeper so that area is all ready , just in case...

I think tomorrow may be a stay at home day and try to get caught up

I am glad to hear the envelopes are arriving, I hope each of you can find at least one thing you really like... I know I did not send as much as I usually do, I am just not in "mode" this season...

Ali seems to be feeling better, Her music / play director understands her being sick, they have no one that can do her part ~ so she told her to skip practices, rest and if Wednesday night she cannot sing, to come do the part physically and her director / instructor will say her words and sing her solos from the floor She knows Ali knows her lines and has perfected her music and is praying Ali can do it, but even if she cannot they want her on stage That makes me feel so good, to have a teacher that cares about the student, and knows her abilities too ~ thanks for allowing the proud gramma moment ~

Dody, thank you for the Christmas card, and the sweet words inside... You ladies give me strength in believing there is goodness in every day and hopefully more to come

Soni, glad to hear that you got the Christmas card. I've spoken to a few people this week & no one has mentioned getting them...I was beginning to wonder.

I went grocery shopping (by myself!!!) and even got to chat with my neighbors. My SIL called to tell us that she had 2 stokes last week. She's doing well now but is going to have a major lifestyle change. I talked to her for over an hour! I think I have talked more today than in a normal week, lol!

If I use my 2 white bookcases to hold it, I would not have to invest much money...always a plus! And the door is bigger tan most desk tops...win!
Is it too big to mount underneath one of your top cabinets? I couldn't do without mine. I use it for so many things. A door is a great thing to use for a desk. And you could probably buy a new one for lots cheaper than a really good desk. Paint it a pretty color!

That was a pretty busy day. It's up to 80 deg. here today.

I was busy cleaning house most of yesterday. It's been awhile since it got a good one done since the kids haven't been over in awhile. That at least motivates me to have it clean. And, I'm wanting to get this lady friend of my GF at work to come clean my house. I wanted to get it all picked up and kind of organized before I had her come over. I worked on it from about 10 - 5 which a few breaks for resting. I can't just go and go anymore. I didn't get out to do errands until after that and had to stop at Walgreen's for prescriptions, then went by Michael's to look at flowers (or darn) I was going to go put flowers on Mother's grave today and totally forgot. Guess I'll do that next Saturday. There was also a Christmas program up at the Funeral Home which I also forgot about today. Oh well, there's another one next Sunday, so I'll see if I can make that one.

Went to Toys R Us to pick up something for my DGS. NEVER again! That place was a zoo and the people were crazy! I just needed to pick up something I bought online and had to wait for almost an hour until I finally got one of the floor managers to go get it for me. Believe me, I wasn't the only one having issues with them yesterday.

After getting groceries, I came on home. Did a bit more cleaning and then had to get things ready for church today since it's the first Sunday of the month and then realized when I got to church that I had forgotten to do one other thing. By the time I was able to get to bed it was after 11 and I was very tired.

Hmmm. . . not sure I mentioned anything about that, but when I decorate I like to have things all around the house. I wish my bathroom was larger and I've considered knocking the wall out between them and making just one, but not good for having people over or for resale and besides that the wall that would come out is the one where the gas space heater is so that would be a problem.
