Well, I went to the allergist and she doesn't think that my rash is allergy (hives) at all, but that it is outbreaks of eczema. She called in a script for an anti-histamine and told me to take Zyrtec morning and night. She said my skin is very dry and if it cracks then it's likely that eczema can start. I don't know if I'm convinced of that or not since it is only in little spots and doesn't really spread out. Anyway, I'm willing to try her diagnosis and do what she says for a month. Then I have to go back unless it gets worse. She wants to see the report that the dematologist did when I saw her awhile back. I'm also supposed to put some Eucernin cream on my legs 3x a day especially after showering and before toweling off.

In a way I was glad that I didn't have to do any of that allergy testing.

Wow that is different...tho I do know how dry skin can affect people and Eucerin cream is really great stuff...
I hope this works for you
Do you have a copy of what the dermatologist reported? Or will you need to get a copy of that report?

Morning... I think we have a few pretty days on the way~ back up in the 50 and 60 's I will take that as we start December

I have a few things around the house to do, One is to get Faith's crib back in the room I usually have it in!~ I think I will have her later on today : )
Tammy has overnight at grandpas and Brooke goes to her dads ... If I go get her, I will stop at a couple of stores too ...

I wondered about a QSS as well but figured everyone is so busy right now plus our numbers have really dropped. Posting is at an all time low I think so I just thought no one was interested. Actually an off time of year would be better...something to look forward to!

Good morning Quackers! Gonna be a busy day at the office today. My visiting teachers were over last night. One of those ladies sure does like to talk. LOL! Luckily the other one can keep her on track and get them out the door in a reasonable amount of time.

Printed off some images for my DT cards and got one colored up. Picked out the DP I want to use and looked at some layouts. Hope to work on those tonight and tomorrow.

Tomorrow I'm doing Fall cleaning of the house. I'm trying to get this lady as a housekeeper, but the house has to be in order first. I don't want her to have to dust around things or have to move a lot of stuff, so it really needs to be better organized.

Soni, for some reason, I though that Grandpa Don had moved to hospice or was I wrong about that. It just seemed that the girls weren't having to go every night over there. Or did they finally get some caretakers to come in and help out?

It's actually not THAT dry. For one thing, it is winter and my skin always dries out in the winter when we don't have the high humidity and then I haven't been using my regular body wash when I shower that has lotion in it because I think I'm allergic to it. I'm still not convinced that this is totally eczema. We'll see how things progress.

morning.....

Dody...I agree...our numbers have certainly dropped recently. I guess it's the time of year....but, we've been doing that before the holidays. It was Deb that mentioned it about the QSS. She remembers the last couple of Thanksgivings where we are working on stuff....or shopping for it. I'm usually helping her catch up! She said that y'all probably wouldn't let her play along since she hasn't been on here in ages. I said not to count that out! LOL

A spring one might be fun! Just depends on when....

Maggie...hope the cream works for you. I've noticed that my scalp has been so itchy lately. I did change shampoo/conditioner at Deb's. But you wouldn't think just one use of another type would make a difference. Anyway...I'm fiddling with my hair! I did get it trimmed....the bangs are a little shorter than I like. The hair was flat when she cut it...but, it's naturally curly. So...it took off after the trim. Now the bangs are shorter!!! Oh my...not scary short....just curly! Deb and I talked about doing a recent pic of us. I think the one on here is about 3 years old now!

You know...I don't think I do slow down! Maybe that's a good thing! I guess....

I thought when I retired that I would have more time too. Like organize better, clean better, cook wonderful dinners, do more sewing, crafts that I've forgotten about (folk art painting).....nope! I need to weed out stuff....no, something else comes up. So...it will get there. One of these days!!!

So...I get one thing done at a time.....while doing 4 other things! I'm flexible like that! LOL Plus, having someone home full time...(as you know) does make a difference! I seem to get more done when he isn't home...or babysitting Pie outside! Yep...it's fun filled and action packed around here!!!

Looks like I'm the only one on here......I guess I need to get my stuff in gear. I have some banking to do, will need to do the books for the club. We have elections tomorrow. I don't think anyone wants my job....but, you never know until the elections. Like that one year.....I'm hoping that it is calm again this time. That other stuff was just too stressful!!

Yes it does feel good, I did take all the Autumn decor down today... Not sure when I will start Christmas tho

Tammy is doing pretty good with her line, considering all she has on her plate right now~ grandpa is back home, but she did interview a lady willing to do 6 am to 4 pm daily, they are going to start out 3 days a week next week I hope that give Tammy a break She has a few ladies that just call with orders , that sure helps too ...
Thanks for asking

he has been home with hospice since Aug~ but medicare related it is very minimal... They used what is called a respite, he can go to a hursing home for 5 days medicare covered~ they paid out of pocket to extend that a few days ~ they needed a break
If this new CNA works out, they will only be doing over night , that would free up Tammy's days as she goes every day from 11 - 5 as well as her every other night

the Hospice program they were enticed with is not up and running, tho they were told Mid October, now there is no words as to when it will be in operation It was to be medicare approved for more hours of nurses and CNA's...

I hope that helps explain it better...I know I am not good at putting it all out there ...
I do not want to over load you all with my issues

Krista and Ali are on their way to see Ali's neuro doctor After her ER visit yesterday, we all think this is needed
the ER doc thinks it is viral ~ head aches, nausea, dizzy, along with nasal and congestion

Well the first three are bad issues with her syndrome, so we are not sure...better to be safe and she has not seen her neuro specialist recently due to ins~
they were approved for a state related ins, but not sure now with Keith being employed temporarily ... hoping they can still have coverage.maybe pay for it ...
Lack of ins scares me with kids, and adults...

I am dealing with one of my meds not going to be covered by medicare or my rx plan~ so I do know the issues involved... I pray it gets authorized, it is the ONE I really need~

I am on my way to run an errand, and go get Faith...Tammy needs to do one thing after she leaves grandpas at 4:30 then go back tonight at nine Faith has been clingy again, still teething, so it is an easier transition, if I pick her up verses her mommy leaving her here I do not how long I will have her, maybe just thru tomorrow maybe thru Sunday...

I have a couple projects I need to be working on. Ugh! Time is flying by.
I love doing the tiles. And now that PermaMarker has come out in such a wide variety of colors you can really do some cool stuff!

What I"m finding is what worked in the IL house doesn't apply here. So this year I started with the fall stuff...

I put out what worked. What didn't work, instantly went into a box/ bag for the thrift store. That way when I packed away the fall decor, they were only items I know I'll use. I've started doing the same with Christmas and other holidays.

Sounds like my house (life) LOL Right down to the bolded line

okay, I'm caught up again. I'm sorry I've not been here more. Just deadlines that hit all at once. I had another opportunity present itself yesterday I can't pass up for next week.
Bob and I are running away Sunday/ Monday. Part of it is research for the article due next week. The rest is just play time for us.

I'll try to check in tomorrow.
Hugs and Blessings!

That's a good idea. I find I have just the right amount of decorations up right now. It looks festive but not overdone. I think I will try to follow your lead. I did not put out my snowmen this year...I may see if Stef wants them, I know Justin couldn't have them with the dogs. Jen has more Christmas stuff than I do, lol.

Looks like it's been a super busy month for everyone...probably won't get any better either...I can't believe tomorrow is December already. What happened to September, October and November?

Tomorrow is our 4-H Food Challenge...Kind of like Iron Chef...loads of fun, unless you do all the planning. At this stage I just want it over with...then I can coast at work until January when stock shows start.
