thanks Kel but really CAS I can do~ but anyone can lol
You are so wrong. I have to really concentrate on a card to make it CAS. I'm always wanting to put more things on it. In fact there were a couple cards in the challenge that I thought were really pretty, but when it came down to it, they weren't really CAS. I think that's really what some of the DT look for - how much do they really reflect the theme of the challenge.
Funny story... you all know about my raccoon... Miss Thing. She is becoming quiet spoiled. And apparently has lost her watch. Instead of coming around 9 or 9:30 at night now, she doesn't get here til 11:30! The dogs got me up night before last for me to find her falling out of the bird feeder and making a bee-line for the front deck. I came in to get her crackers and the storm door didn't close all the way. I turned back to go out and her nose was sticking between the door and door frame...just waiting.
Last night she tried to follow me in the house! LOL Really have to keep an eye on the door now.
LOL! Sounds like Miss Thing really has a home there.
I played with that same decision last night. I decided to keep writing today. Then I'll go in late afternoon for some light shopping and catch the 7p.m. Twilight.
I need to call my movie buddy today and see when she wants to go see Twilight. I'm thinking I could catch an early afternoon show tomorrow.
Dody, I hope you can at least find a quilt store you'll love shopping at. The guild will just be an added bonus. You'll meet other quilters at the shop.
But you have time. Maybe pull out your Christmas quilts and start adding little touches of the season here and there. Before you know it, you'll be pulling everything out! This is going to be a year of firsts for you and I wish you blessings on every one of them.
Suzy... coming from someone who has to work at it every day, we make time for what is important to us. The rest is just clutter. I find my stuff comes and goes in waves... mostly because I put my foot down and say this is what I want to work on. I haven't hit that point with my quilt yet. The cutting table is full of mixed media art supplies hehe
I need to get my day started. I think the guy behind us got a deer. I've been hearing lots of 4-wheeler activity. Hope he knows if it's on m side of the fence, it's going to cost him a roast at the very lease

Thank you Maggie, yes I did put that badge on my blog with a short update... I am still shaking my head...I did feel it met criteria for CAS and it was pretty ... In any case I am happy

I am off to wash my hair and see if I can do any thing with it, you know those first few days after a hair cut : )
I need to sweep and mop, after Donnie said they were not coming I just stopped yesterday... but they are at the airport waiting to leave ... so I guess I need to dust and pick up the clutter ...
I need to shut my computer down too, I have not done that for a day or two
We are looking at mud 50's here for the next few days, that is good I do not want Donnie or Sue to freeze ....
Morning Ladies! I started to reply but my computer decided to reboot & update during my post. Figures!
Maggie, I am so sorry to read about your friends baby. Thoughts & prayer go out to them.
Soni, I am glad your brother can still make it! That will put you in the spirt as will my guest next week
Shell, if you have not read back, I did put a few pictures on the last page....you just missed them. I am going to try to get the sewing room posted later. Bud is hanging the speakers for the surround sound now in the famikly room & needs my help.
Kelly, your visitor is not welcome inside, is he? Love them but keep him out!!! I hear the bear is still around & has fox & other friends around too. Silly us took a walk in the dark a few nights ago...we were thinking....not a good idea! LOL!
Gave the girls haircuts this morning, now I need someone to do that for me! Guess I need to find somewhere close to here, can't aslways just buzz up to Ga.

Suzy, how's your back & knee?
Getting better....had a bit of a soreness happen after bowling on Wed. I didn't go to the chiropractor this week....so, I'm waiting to see if I need to squeeze a visit in early next week. With the busy weekend, it will tell me what to do! I've had the heating pad on it this morning...and it was feeling better. So, it might be muscle related. I did pop my knee while bowling on Wed...glad it was during the last game! Have to look on the bright side there!

okay...I guess it's time to check the emails and get a start for the day. Need to fill up my car...while the price is lower! I also need to dash by Walmart. My GF is suppose to come by after school to work on cards. We'll see if that is still happening.

I am home, glasses feel better and I can see better, we shall see how the reading goes... ! I hope that is what was wrong with my head aches
I did go get some meat in, and a few choices in fruit, Donnie is really trying to stay on his eating regiment... We are having tacos tonight, some thing easy and K & K and kids can join us too I think Tammy will be out tomorrow
I am not sure about when I will get to Lisa's open house..it is today, tomorrow and Sunday... It will depend on what Don and Sue want to do tomorrow ... I hope I still get to go ...
Suzy, did you get your birthday card? It was late but I was thinking about ya!
Yes, I did....thank you so much! I realized that I didn't mention it this morning after I got off the computer. But, I was dashing to run errands....this is the first time that I've been on. Thanks again for thinking of me!

I need to ask you this morning for prayers for the family of our Stake Relief Society President. I just got an e-mail this morning that the 7 week old baby of her oldest DD passed away yesterday during a nap. Sounds like SIDS. The mom has 5 other children - the oldest boy is 8 yo.
well I am in shock, though it is really pretty in real life with the shimmer paper I never thought It would be chosen... CAS is some thing I can do lol so I entered

The sharp twist ending is all the buzz on twitter this morning. Completely different from the book (which I've not read) but amazing!
They changed the ending??? Drat. And they were following the books so well, too. We hope to see it in the next week or so. Jonah and I have gone to see all of them together.
I need to get my day started. I think the guy behind us got a deer. I've been hearing lots of 4-wheeler activity. Hope he knows if it's on m side of the fence, it's going to cost him a roast at the very lease

I'll go back and check those out. I've not gone back to look at all yet ... just haven't had time. We're suppose to be home all day tomorrow, so maybe I can do that AND get up to the Haven for a minute. I bought a pattern for Jaydin a Christmas dress. I'm hoping that I can get that done this year, but .... if not, I can do it next year. I need to get the costumes for Jonah and Jaydin done and figured out. The play is suppose to be on December 21st. Gotta make the costumes a priority, so I may or may not get the dress done.
We had our semi-annual group meeting today. That went well, and I was able to get out of teaching chorus next semester. As much as I love the kids, I am thankful for a bit of a break. I think Jonah is, as well.
Late night Quacks. Only got home about an hour ago. I went to a book signing. The author is Lisa Lillien, better known as Hungry Girl. I love her show and I DVR it all the time so I can watch. She's kind of like Rachel Ray only healthy cooking. We got lots of cool free stuff - food and coupons. I left work at 5 and went right to where they were having the book signing which didn't start until 7, but if I had gone home, I would have had to just turn around and go out again. Stopped at a place called Zoe's Kitchen for some dinner. Had a grilled chicken with cole slaw pita pocket. It was very yummy. The book signing was fun, and she is so cute and funny and amazing. I chatted with the girl standing next to me - yes, standing! There were so many people there that they ran out of seating. Ugh, I"m so tired. A lot of people there belonged to Weight Watchers including the girl I was talking to. She really inspired me - lost 51 pounds since last April and looks amazing and all with eating properly. I'm thinking I may need to do this. There is a group in our office complex that meets at lunch time. I've always thought it was way too expensive, but she said to go for about a month and learn everything and then you can do it online.
Good morning Quackers. I woke up early and tried to go back to sleep, but couldn't, so I sat in bed with my Kindle until 7. Now time to get breakfast and get busy. I've got a ton so stuff to do today. My cousin arrived in town yesterday, but we're not getting together until tomorrow night to celebrate my nephew's birthday. SYL.

Hello , Don and Sue did arrive safely, we enjoying visiting last night Sue and I were up until after 1:00 am I had Faith, and we were up by 7:00
Tammy came up early and Her and Faith and Sue and I and Dustin went to Lisa's and ran a few errands... Sue made Kristas curtains tonight...
Krista is so excited, she is at grandpas tonight , so I am sure we will be hanging them tomorrow
I think some of their kids and grand kids are coming tomorrow after noon or evening to visit ...
Good morning Quackers. Looks like everyone was otherwise occupied yesterday. It was a busy day here also. I did manage to work in the front flower bed and got all the weeds dug or pulled out of there. That was a real chore. Took me 1/2 hour to recover after it. Got errands done and worked around the house getting things picked up, put away. I bought a new space heater while I was out to put out here in the computer room. Not sure how much I like it. It's like a radiator with oil inside that heats up and then radiates heat off it, but it doesn't seem to warm things up too much even on high.
I found some soy chocolate milk with peppermint at HEB yesterday and made a cup of that last night and put a huge mound of whipped creme on top. So yummy.
Dinner out later with the family for my nephew's birthday. He wants BBQ so that's where we're going. I still have to get my card done for {Pin}spirational. We are sitting out this week for PSC because of the Thanksgiving holiday.

I am off to bed,
good night
So glad that they arrived safely. Sounds like you'll be having fun times for awhile. Enjoy each moment!
Good Morning!! Yep, we have some busy Quackers right now! I still can't believe Thanksgiving is this week. I did put on Sound of the Seasons music yesterday...kinda thought it might help (and it did!) Plus we have a chill in the air really nice weather! Stephanie will be coming down tomorrow so I may not be on much this week.
Soni, enjoy your visit!!! I bet Krista is thrilled to get her curtains finished and you are thrilled not to have that hanging over your head anymore. And how about Ali getting her buck???with ONE shot! WTG Ali!!! Does Brooke hunt? Somehow I can not see her doing that...
Maggie, I bet it felt good to get that flower bed done even if it was a pain. I used to enjoy gardening but not so much anymore. Maybe if I had a flower bed raised waist high. Also your book signing sounded really cool. You always find the neatest things to do.
Shell, I just noticed yoiur location...really? Are you that busy? Who is it that you don't care about???
