Alright, the bedroom task is done, maybe I will dust in there too lol

My laundry done and working on a couple of loads for Krista,
Keith dropped them off while he is cutting firewood...

I think it is time to eat and gosh I need to wash my hair ... I may get to read at some point today...or play a little

Hey girls. Popping in. Trying to accomplish as much as possible before the thunder starts rumbling... which doesn't appear too far off.

I learned to make these in Girl Scouts and very 'green'. Cut toilet tissue rolls in 1/2 - so you hae 2 tubes. Stuff with dryer lint then stand on end and pour melted wax over them. I like to let one side set up then flip them over and pour from the bottom, too. The wax keeps them burning longer so the kindling has time to really catch.

I made 240. Still have about 400 tissue tubes to go but no dryer lint left.

A fire pit would be great for the patio. Could sit out there and enjoy that and roast 'smores.
I'm good. I don't dry my clothes except socks/ underwear. Everything else gets hung on the line. Most of the dryer lint consists of cat hair

We've had mornings like that for about a week. Sunday morning I should wake up to somewhere in the low 30s.

I've been in to Birch Tree to mail stuff and grab a burger. I'd like to go into Winona or Van Buren to Dollar General. I have a $5 off coupon and there are some things I need. I bought 2 throw rugs for my kitchen last week. I really need a 3rd one to make the one in front of the sink longer. Of course, do you think I can find another to match? No! I could put the two I have together and a different color in front of the stove, but I really want all of them the same since they're so close. I do know Winona didn't have any to match but there really isn't anything else I would do in Van Buren - 30 min one way. Hate decisions.

I need to write today. But if I have to shut down, I'll write the rough draft of my article for the magazine then get the stock-up stuff organized. I'll bet Bob would love to come home and find it no longer sitting on a card table in the shop hehe

NO the woodburner was Keiths, his Mother bought that and the shed for it as a gift and left orders with the man that installed it to move it next door if he moved there ..

so far I have used my elec heater a few times . but with Faith coming tomorrow I will need to use the furnace to take the chill off but I still will not run it ... the wood butner wood be great, it forced the heat in the house ... but I cannot afford $5,000.00 - $8,000.00 and the trust on the farm is no where able to do it either

after a few hours when burn cream coating it the index finger is the worst, it has 2 areas with a blister and a small one on my thumb... If I can get is bandaged I will be ok
I was hoping Krista could come over and put more medicine on it and wrap it in gauze and tape but she is in bed... I need to check with Tam to see if she was able to get some one for tonight or if this will be her fourth night in a row

thanks for asking Dody... just shaking my head at my self
Keith had to finish up the laundry, poor guy

Sorry to hear about you hand, Soni. I burned my hand about 2 weeks ago...it was pretty sore for a few days. I instantly put some ice on it...which helped. Then I put some burn relief for sun burns. I think the ice was the best that I could have done. I've got a bandaide on it now so that I can keep cream on it.

they say not to cover or wrap burns, but I had to do the one finger, it was so bad air hurt it, so imagine what water or even touching it felt like...
the thumb and second finger have small area that hurt I will keep cream on them when I can, and just watch them

Good evening Quackers.

Soni, so sorry about burning your hand. That is so painful. Do you grow aloe vera outside. That's good to put on burns. I hop it feels better soon and heals up quickly.

I am planning to make cards all weekend. I do have to make a run to HL tomorrow. PSC is having a big anniversary/birthday blog hop starting next Wednesday and it's going to be for 4 days. Different DT members will be posting different things on their blogs. I signed up to do all 4 of the challenges, so I need to make a card for each day. I decided to combine it with my own prize giveaway for my birthday and my one year blogging anniversary which was actually back in July. I thought it would be fun and get more people to my blog. I picked up some things at Michael's today for the prize and want to go see what HL has also. Michael's still had a 40% off one thing coupon good until tomorrow and a 50% off one that starts today. So I guess I'll be going back to Michael's tomorrow also to see what else I can get.

I'm very worried. Now that Wanda has returned and is eating, I don't have to worry about her, but when I got home tonight and went out to feed the kitties, Snowflake, wasn't there and hasn't been here yet tonight. She was the very first outside kitty that I started taking care of. She's always out there ready for her breakfast or dinner, so not having her be there is disconcerting. I really hope nothing has happened to her, but since they all stay in the back yards, I don't know what it could be.

no I do not grow Alovera but I have burn cream from the hospital...it is great I felt the sting working its way out it really helped 2 fingers and my thumb the index finger was bright red and I knew it was the worst
Krista did cover that finger and wrapped it in gauze and taped it so it feels better now we will redo it tomorrow I think this will take several days to heal

But while she was here we noticed the curling iron was hot so we laid it on the counter and turned it off... and I just checked it after 45 minutes and dang it was on again...
I will leave it unplugged for now but I will take it back I guess ...it is a Revlon, I like the ceramic ones... and I have only been using it a couple of weeks it has not done this before

Good morning... I slept pretty good, I only woke up once than again at 7:00 So I am up and wishing it was warmer...

32 degrees out side, it has come up almost 2 degrees in a half hour, I hope that is a steady incline If the sun stays out and I wear layers, I think it will be an enjoyable day...chilly but enjoyable... I am meeting Sue at nine and we will decided where to start

Tammy will call later and I will head home so I can keep Faith tonight and most of tomorrow I hope

I found a new gallery I really enjoyed yesterday, so many pretty cards, and great ideas too, she uses a lot of digis but how she puts it all together is so nice... TobyMac here on SCS

Good morning Quackers.

I slept pretty good myself last night. Woke up at 8 a.m. this morning. We have General Conference this weekend which I can watch on BYU-TV. I want to make my trip to HL this morning before 11. I do want to go by the Post Office and return that c/s to Ellen Hutson's and get the Solar White in it's place. Need to make a trip to the bank and gas up the car.

Happy Saturday! Only 9 more days!!! We have painters ready to start as soon as we close on Monday (15th) movers will move us on Thursday the 18th. We will empty the storage unit & move as much as we can on Tuesday the 16th. I have packed up some of the stuff here but really need to wait for most of it. I doubt it will take more than 2 days & I don't want to have to look in boxes if I need something. I know we have a ton of work ahead but it will be nice to work toward OUR house not someone else's for a change. I am still coughing a lot and get tired easliy but that too is working it's way out.

Dody...take care of yourself! I remember when we moved into our first house in TX...I had been coughing and such...plus being a sub. Found out why I didn't have much energy....I had pneumonia!! The doctor said that if I had gone another few days....I would have been in the hospital!!! Who knew!? I know I didn't! I just knew I felt terrible...just thought it was a cold!

Okay....need to go and get ready for our rocket meeting today. Make sure my bag is packed!

I saw on FB that Sue (from our monthly challenge group) was in Denver to change plans. She said there was snow. She is heading to Seattle....will be back early next week.

I'm so sorry about your hand. I hope it heals quickly.

I am still coughing a lot and get tired easliy but that too is working it's way out.

How awesome. Just one more Saturday in your rental!!

I plan to stay in the Haven today to clean up and work on the dress. I need to keep check on Jaydin. I don't want to push it too late if I need to take her to the clinic.

Wow! Now looking back, that time sure went by fast! Good luck on all the packing, painting, and moving!

Take care of yourself. Those summer colds really can hang on and you don't want a relapse.

We'll be like that tomorrow. That front is coming through here tonight. The one thing I hate about this time of the year is the up and down temps. Hot one day, cold the next and back and forth.

Yes, I think there's a lot of junk in the air.

I worked in my stamp room last night. I had ordered 100 empty, blank DVD cases and got them about a week ago. Last night started putting those random stamps in those and marking the company and stamp name on the outside. I think I may have to order a bunch more.

Hope Jaydin's feeling better today and won't need a trip to the clinic.

yeah, been there/done that! So I do know how it feels different. When Jen was almost due with Tanner I was so sick but had to run her to Augusta & find a place for them to live. We pushed it too far, by the time I admited that I need a doctor he said I would have been in the ER that night. I still will not eat lemon pie....can you guess why??? it's gross....
