I wanna see Ali when she is all dressed up pretty. Such fun times!
the news was pretty much what I expected to hear~ I knew when he did not call, text or reach me on facebook~
he was taking time to absorb it, and wanted to say it in person...he practiced on me then Krista before he saw his daughter today
the head ache faded away...
Tammy came up with the girls but Faith cried to go home with her mommy that was a first, broke my heart she usually just waves bye to her mommy and plays... She is still not feeling great , so I understand...I wanted to give Tammy a break tomorrow... If I can get up early I may surprise her and go in and keep her at their house while Tam goes to grandpas for the day
hmmm or Aunt Krista could bring her home ??? I need to think on that one she could drive my car in tonight

Addison kept popping in and out all day from about 9:30am and she finally left about 3:30 when her Daddy came home.
Today I went with Davina, Chad and Addison to an apple festival. We left about 9:00am and got home about 5:00. Ashley marched with the band in the parade. We went early so Davina could get some Fall color pictures and to go to the flea market there. I didn't see anything I "had" to have though - in fact they were selling the kind of stuff I want to get rid of. I did buy Addison a pair of fake Crocs for $6 - they work so nice for her to slip on in a hurry to run over to Grandma's house. The parade was terrific, but sitting in the sun I got a little "color" myself. Then stopped at an apple orchard on the way home to buy apples, apple cider, caramel apples and apple cider doughnuts. We had to wait for the doughnuts because there was such a crowd of people there. Waited about 30minutes, but they were warm and fresh and sooooo good. Only had a half though, shared with Addison. Good day, but I'm tired and will be in bed a little early tonight so I'm rested tomorrow. Lots of walking and fresh air today.
I am so glad you had a nice weekend, today sounds great I am not sure we can arrange a day for all of us to go on a Fall day I may try to break it down into 2 trips or even go alone...I love the smell of Autumn and to just be out in it... But it sure is more fun when the kids are there...

Ali is here, just using the laptop and visiting with me, but she just had a surprise...
her sweet boyfriend just txt Krista and asked if he could surprise her for a while... So he is here too...
She was like,"grandma come answer your door," I told her to see who it is , she was like " but it is dark," , then she jumped up and down and said Oh " Donovan is here " with a happy smile

Just remember, they are not always right. They gave Bob's dad 3 - he lived 10. Only the last one was the hardest.

Sounds like a really fun weekend for you Sue. Glad you were able to squeeze in some fun time with Addison and the family. Apple Cider doughnuts some decadent.
maybe it just didn't smell right to her tonight, a little tummy issue perhaps.
Well, it wasn't just her. The others ate some, but not all of it enthusiastically like they usually do. I brought their bowls in and washed them out good. Maybe that was the problem since they were out there getting all messy this weekend with the rain. If it had been a new bag, I would have thought it might have been the food because that did happen one time a few months ago where none of them would even go near the food. I figured that somehow it had gotten bad, but they've already eaten most of this bag.
off to work on my family tree - trying to enter info that Mom had done. Also found a couple of recipes that my cousin had "pinned" - want to print them off for future.
Neighbor gave me some tomatoes and a cucumber. For supper I had a cucumber sandwich, haven't had one in years, tasted wonderful but the cucumber could have been fresher, wasn't as crisp as I like them. But I'm not complaining, it was perfect for a quick supper. Then I ate the caramel apple I bought. That was yummy too. I can hear my pillow and bed calling me, but I know if I go to bed at 7:00pm, I'll be awake by 3:00am and it will be a horrible day tomorrow. Gotta stay awake until at least 9:30 for sure.
Again another weekend with no sorting getting done. Oh well, I'm the only one who's stressing I guess. Though Davina just shakes her head when she walks into the dining room. But, then she gets "rain days" off from work and I don't.
I do love the smell and taste of fresh cucumbers. Yummy. I used to make a cucumber and tomato salad.
Well, just don't go in the dining room so you can't see the mess.

That's good, but he also has to realize that there are so many different things that go into that. My GF Cathyi was told she would probably only have 2 years, and she's working on her 3rd and doing well. She's not working anymore and is on disability, but luckily her company is still paying all her medical bills. She will probably also be on chemo for her lifetime, whatever that turns out to be. Tell Randy he just needs to live each day to the fullest.
I worked on my PSC card tonight. I had been struggling with it for 2 days and finally figured out what to do with it and then had it just about done and went to put a final stamp on it and smudged it!!!!!!!! I thought I might be able to hide it, but couldn't so now I've got to redo it, but that's not happening until tomorrow night. It took me so many times to get the background right, that I just don't think I can deal with it anymore tonight.

Yes I know, we have talked, he knows my feelings, and opinions... I will do my best to be there and be helpful and understand... It is his life, his choice but I will still be me... Statistics are data from and for research...every day you are a survivor, is a new chance for a cure or hope...
He is just being realistic now and it is hard to see someone that loves life, and to share what he can, cry... not being able to help has never been easy for me... But I can do this~

Thanks Maggie, yes I told him that and remember he may not be able to do things at the same pace...
He is closing on his condo Thursday and has chosen a couple of places he wants to go...I hope he can do all he wants to, and enjoy his days, or years, what ever God gives HIM...
He was sent home with paper work for SS and VA to have disability started by both...that will help a little, allow him to be able to do more ...Once he moves, he will only be 30 minutes away from us so he is hoping to be out to visit more...he will be within minutes of his sister too , and not far from the Peoria VA clinic...too bad he still had to go to Indy for treatments... so that is good

Alright , I took a break from reading to fix and enjoy some warm Ovaltine I started a new book, one I was sent from Trish Perry's site It is good so far...
Ali and Donovan will be leaving soon, and I think I will go to bed, if I cannot sleep, then I know I have a good book waiting
Good morning Quackers. I did sleep pretty good, although I woke up twice. I was able to get right back to sleep. I am looking forward to being off on Wednesday to get some things done around here. I really think that I need a week at least.
I read thru everything but didn't comment. Soni, I hope you are doing ok...I worry about the heavy load you are carrying. Did Faith get to come over yet? Do you ever look at Ali and wonder how she can possibly be old enough to have a beau? Wasn't she just Faith's age a blink of the eye away???
Suzy, yes that stamp is perfect for you...I need one that adds "whether you use a box of 8 or the big 64!" lol!
Kelly, when do you think you'll have time to get started on your witch quilt? Not enough time for all of your projects, right?
Maggie, my girls get fussy when their bowls get dirty too. Mostly the water bowl though. Keep us posted on Wanda & the Wandaettes
Karen, you in hiding again? Miss ya!
Shell, are you almost ready for your cruise? Countdown is getting shorter!
Sue, your weekend sounds lovely. I do love apple do-nuts and fresh cider.
14 days until closing!!! Bud is starting to make moving plans today. I am going to start packing up the sewing room today, after I get the laundry going. I did 3 loads yesterday but have a few more for today. I'm getting all of the sheets washed & will pack up a "first day' box. It will have sheets, towels, soap, TP, etc...stuff ya need right away & handy!

what a smart idea... I used to always go to the store and buy small packages of Toilet paper and single rolls of paper towels tissues, dish soap hand soap and such and take it over to the new place when we moved
just to be sure I knew it was there ...
Yes Dody Faith was here for the afternoon and evening Sunday, but she cried to go home with her mommy...
and yes , every time I look at Ali I remember her being born and all of the wonderful times we had with her as an infant and toddler... I had her more than the others due to Krista work schedule , but she was and always will be MY ANGEL GIRL this boy is 16, but raised good, kind, compasionate, protective of her , sweet ...just not a kid of todays world..he is content to just visit , talk, watch tv he even plays air hockey and pool with the boys... his smile gets me every time ... I will post a pic of the 2 of them

Laundry is going here too but I will be so happy to get new machines! Grrrr, this one leaves lint all over the clothes & takes forever to dry. At least it is not still eating my clothes.
Sewing room is almost packed. I need some boxes from the storage room. Next up the kids room & I need to go thru my ceder chest. It is my catch all for keepsakes & it's a huge mess. The last movers would take furniture & turn it upside down & carry it on their backs. YIKES! I have stuff scattered everywhere in there.

I will get his new address and share it, if you or Kel want to send a card for his new home or some thing cheery later on... I am glad you got to meet him, tho it was at a not good time

Yeah!
And yes, I am closer to starting my witch quilt. The cutting table is cleared off! My plan is to start on it the week before Halloween. Unfortunately, it will probably go still for the entire month of Nov. as I have Nano to play with. - National Novel Writing Month
