It was a productive day for us.....Jack changed a car battery. Then I went through tons of old pictures...dumped quite a few. No, these weren't any of our pictures. But, they were mostly of scenic stuff. I figured no one will want those pictures....once we figure out who wants all the pictures our friend took. I have to say one thing...he was good about putting them in albums. As for marking who they were ....no so good. When you look at it his way.....he knows them. Why do I need to mark them! It was fun to see him during high school with all that hair!!! It was the time! There will be a treasure of pictures for who ever wants them in the family.

Shell, hope you get it all done... the book was good, hope you enjoy it if you decide to spend $ on it... it was a slow start for me ... but it got better
Maggie, I wonder where those are coming from... to be in more than one room is a bit of concern... I hope you can find the entrance point and get rid of them
Sue ... glad you had time to catch up and visit with us today...I sure do miss you
ok I am ready for my bath, then I do not know what I will do...I have not had any supper, I may try to find some thing...I was too busy enjoying Faith snuggling with me ...
Maggie, I am still trying to wrap my head around 100 roses!!! What that must have cost!!!!
I really wish I had taken a picture of the whole thing. Can't even imagine what they set the client back, but when you talk about millions, I guess it doesn't really matter.
Here's a photo of the bouquet I brought home from it. They are still blooming pretty. I trimmed the stems again today and put them in fresh water.

Hello, mid morning quacks...
I went to bed early, slept pretty good, just a slow start to my day...
I need to get my week long itenary down, I will be busy helping Tammy get the party things and that all taken care of, along with plans to take my niece Tanya to the train depot in Galesburg on Friday ...
she decided that was how she wanted to travel to her dads in Colorado ...
but those need to be changed, as I was not told when grandparents day would be... yep it is Friday ...
I have shopping to do, and of course cleaning to do too... but those can wait til later in the week
I think I will clean out the fridge, do my floors today,
some laundry too and cook some thing good...
chuck steak and mac and cheese
I"m really having a terrible time with these little sugar ants. I found some today crawling around on my computer desk. Couldn't figure it out. Then I saw that I had left a bag of Caramel popcorn on my desk but it was in a Ziploc bag. Guess it wasn't closed quite all the way because they were all inside crawling around. I have no idea how they got up on top of my desk in the first place. These things are really driving me nuts.
Have you sprayed around all the foundation, sills (inside and out) and doorways with the Home Defense?
I have a microwave recipe that is good...this last batch I cooked on the stove top and it was dry so I add milk and heat it up ... lol
Bob and I make Tapioca Fluff. It's reallly yummy. We had started making a Splenda version but that isn't really good for you either. So we decided for all the more often we have it, it would be a treat and use real sugar.

is that the recipe on the box... I tried that but I messed up oh well
My dd and I share books. Although with getting so many through my Kindle Fire, we haven't done so much of that lately. I did share a bunch of mine with a couple Quackers so I know they found good homes.
Well... my day has shifted. Bob just pulled in! He didn't tell me he got on the road at 4 a.m. when I talked to him about 9. Turkey! Hehe So he's going to West Plains with me for lunch. I have some last minute pics to pick up at Walgreens.
Of course the house is a mess. I just had no energy yesterday. I didn't even feel like reading. Felt achy all over. Better today. Pain pill and a good nights sleep will do wonders LOL

What kind of books do you like to read Sue?
I love American historical romances, biographies and some mysteries. I wish I could tell you some authors, but right now I'm drawing a blank. I just finished a book about Queen Victoria's daughters - a biography. Currently reading a historical fiction called Love and Glory, it's about the WACs during WW2 - it's one of Mom's and I'm betting it brought back alot of memories for her being she was a WAC during WW2.

I'm with you on that time period too. I wrote down the book and author to try to find it. Maybe for my Nook. Got my Barnes & Noble gift cards to use up. Should go looking. Maybe this week.

I am not sure it is available on Nook, I sure hope so...I had it from the library...
Sue, have you ever read any of the Diana G...... dang can't think of her last name books? Where the mom and daughter go back in time, then back to current and back again? TONS of history - almost too much

Good afternoon Quackers. It's been a trying afternoon. Trying to get my boss to and from NYC late October at specific times. Ugh! We've been going back and forth about which is the best airport to fly into and how to get to the hotel from there. It wouldn't be so bad except he's on a schedule.
Just got an e-mail this afternoon from the girl at The Sisterhood of Crafters telling me that this card was picked as one of the Top 3 in their challenge. If you didn't see it on my blog, here's the link.
Have you sprayed around all the foundation, sills (inside and out) and doorways with the Home Defense?
No, I sprayed the outside in the back behind the kitchen along the foundation and around the windows, but I think they are inside the walls and not coming from the outside. That's the only way they could get into the computer room since it is not on an outside wall but butts up to my utility room in the garage. Guess I need to spray out there and inside along that wall.

I don't like the aftertaste of Splenda or any of those sugar free substitutes.

Well, maybe Bob will help you out with the mess when you get back from West Plains. Hope you have an enjoyable day.

I like some historical fiction, mysteries and suspense. I'm actually reading The Lotus Eaters right now which is about journalists in Vietnam during the war.

It's Diana Gabaldon and The Outlander series. I have a couple of these, but haven't started reading them. I want to get all of them before I start reading them.

I always use Splenda in my tea .... and I drink a lot of tea.

Ha! Surprise!
I'm glad you're feeling better. I'm sorry you had a rough day yesterday.

Those sound like something I would enjoy. If you think of the last name, please let me know.
