Definitely. I'm thankful that I have the freedom to dress in jeans - or whatever - and still worship. I take care of the kids under 2 years old on Sunday and can't get on the floor and whatnot with them if I'm in dress clothes. Same thing with being on camera .... the dressy clothes inhibit me while I'm working. So ... I dress in jeans most of the time.

I talked to my DD here tonight. She is going to sell for me on E-Bay. We were torn between doing auction items or having a store. Right now you can put 50 items on for free - no insertion fees so that's what we're going to do to start off and then see how it goes. We'll do a test to see if the items will sell and for how much. I sure don't want to overprice stuff, but I also don't want to give it away.

I'm going to be selling all my Ty products, stamps, and some other incidental items. Since she's doing all the work, I'm going to give her 30% of the profits. The rest of the money is going into an account for my DGC. Essentially, they are the reasons that I got into the Beanie Baby craze anyway. Was supposed to be an investment for them.

LOL! Yes, I can see that as a plus. Would be really weird to see a man in a skirt or dress. Ooops!

Sorry I didn't get home in time yesterday to pop on. I didn't even get on the road to Poplar Bluff until almost 2 and got home around 9ish. It was along afternoon. I did get what I went after. How what I needed could cost so much! Yikes! I told Bob he might have to rethink his tea. It's gone to almost $5 a jar. Man I miss the $2.69 LOL I did take advantage of a couple of the 10 for $10 items... side dishes and a couple slabs of ribs that were on sale. Cheaper than we could go out to eat. Looking at the freezer and stock, I shouldn't have to grocery shop for anything except stables for at least a couple months. And we won't go hungry.

I only collected the bears. I used to have just one tree nothing but Ty bears but they have since been included as part of the 'bear tree' since I had to condense the number of trees.

I don't wear shorts on Sunday, but I do wear them on Wednesday. I can't imagine working with the kids on Wednesdays and being restricted by clothes! LOL! I can just see the looks they would have on their faces.

I had that mindset for years..... I was a rebel in my church, though. It just never made sense to me about why those of us that worked with children were expected to dress up every week. I started wearing jeans - and got some looks - but it paid off for me when we had visitors that came in wearing jeans. I knew that me wearing jeans helped them to feel more accepted. That was (is) very important to me.

On my way out the door tonight, I leave you with this bit of news....

I've been comfortably wearing size 14 jeans for 2 or 3 months. I went looking in Penney's at the clearance yesterday for left over St. Johns Bay or Gloria V.s

Came home with a size 12! Yep... I was a happy woman!
Sweet Dreams ladies.

Many churches here do that. There are a lot of 'alternative' approaches to drawing people in.

I did my last job of the day...I had to clear out texts in my phone...I had over 300 in it... with the girls being at the hospital so much, we have relied on texting most of the time...

I am off to read, I started a new book tonight, I hope I can get into it here pretty soon, it seems to have a sloe start...

good night all I hope you all sleep well...

Good morning, Maggie. Thanks to Spirit, I was up early too. But that's okay. I've already put the final touches to the art piece for the Sweethaven Challenge. I should be able to photograph and upload to my blog this afternoon. I plan to clean the stock-up area today.

Bob switched to Decaf several years ago as the regular was giving him heart burn. The only caffeine he drinks is in his 1-2 cups of coffee in the morning. He used to drink coffee near all shift on the boat but has stopped that as well and now limits himself... 1 with his slimfast and 1 with his creamer.

We still have overcast with occasional drizzle today it looks like. Looks pretty breezy too. That's okay. I don't plan on going anywhere. Cleaning the stock-up room and getting the dining room table cleared. Rewarding myself with some game time tonight. Have a new one I've not played yet.

I've had breakfast. Homemade egg mcmuffin and a cup of coffee. Soon as I've finished the card threads I need to mix up cat food then get started.

Soni, How is grandpa Don doing?

staying away from caffeine usually helps to loose weight too... not in Keiths' life though caffeine does help you retain water, and swell it needs flushed from your body with water... but not many do that

Soni, How is grandpa Don doing?
they moved him to extended care therapy at the hospital but that is not going well...he says they are expecting too much out of him...I know they have prodocol to follow, but this man has done little of nothing for years. They say he is refusing to do therapy, he is saying he cannot do all they want...with a broken collar bone, broken ribs and a shattered vertebrae I tend to understand what he is saying
I imagine this therapy unit was to humor him as he really does not want to go to the nursing home... I believe he will do just that next week

thanks for asking

I kind of wish I was not going any where...I do not like to drive in the rain...
I have not heard from Sue yet, so I am not sure...
I think a little shopping, maybe dinner and church will be what we end up with...

Checked out the website for Kroger and the closest one to me is about 100 miles away. That wouldn't be a cost savings!

Maybe if I ever get down in the area of a Krogers, they will be having that kind of sale. Should watch to see if there's anything around here that would be similar.

Morrning all -

have to take Ashley for Drivers Ed behind the wheel - so Addison and I are going to a park for a couple of hours. Davina, Chad and Cody are headed to UW Stevens Point to move Cody into his dorm. Going to miss that boy, but he'll be home in 3 weeks for homecoming - he has to crown this year's king.

will try to stop back later to chat more

Morning Sue

Yes, 100 miles is a ways. But then for me... that's about par for the course. I just choose the area with the most shopping options so I can do a bunch of things at once and make it cost effective.

West Plains - 45 miles - WM/ $Tree/ farm store and a couple of hardware/ lumber yards and 3 decent food options without eating fast food

Polar Bluff - 60 miles - Kroger/ WM/ Kmart/ $Tree/ Goodwill/ Home Depot and a scrapbook store

Springfield - 200 miles away (Think Peoria)

hi Sue, good to see you pop in ... have fun at the park, and how exciting for Cody, both on his college days and crowning the new King...

I can't drink large amounts of water - as I retain it horribly. But tea is a natural diuretic so I can drink it and pee all I want

We've been talking about altering how we shop. We've decided not to renew the Sam's Club membership. We only go a couple times a year. Plus it has to be done when we're already in Springfield - adding to what is already a long day. We've decided the club fee would be better spent just applying it to groceries locally and if I can combine coupons we'll save even more.

We're also trying to shop at WM less.. just for the things like the cat food we can only get there. I've hooked up with a couple of couponers and am learning how things have changed since I did couponing/ refunding eons ago. Our Kroger doesn't double any more but we do have a store in Mt. View that does. I just need to watch the sales there and make use of it. I also only buy the thing we'll eat. I don't buy something just because I have a coupon.

Sunday papers have gone to $3 and I have to drive 30 miles round trip to get one so unless I can make friends with my buddies at the recycling center (they can be bribed with goodies now and then hehe) I'll be using mostly printable coupons... but that limits how many I can use, too.

morning all....
We just had something really funny happen. A friend of ours sent a link to a festival with all kinds of cat videos.....awards given etc. We were watching those...all on youtube. I was then picking at random some other ones to watch. Well there is one that the cat has a rat/mouse in the toilet. It's playing with the mouse while the cat sits on a small stool near the toilet. At the very end...the cat pulls the mouse out of the toilet and it is making all kinds of squeaks. Now...here is the funny part......Pie jumps out of the chair...runs to find the mouse. He has been looking all around me while I've been at the computer. This has been going on for a few minutes....he is looking and meowing. He can't find it!!! Well, naturally...it's not here!!! I've laughed so hard!!! What a good way to start the day!!! He is now eating his crunchies...probably trying to figure out where to look next for that pesky mouse!!!

Cute, Suzy!

Reminds me of Goddess and Spirit yesterday morning. They sat here in front of the screen door listening to the squirrels crack the hulls on the pignuts. They new those squirrels were out there, but they couldn't see them. Spirit wanted out there in the worst way. He doesn't get to go outside. Goddess was content to spread her tummy out on the cool linoleum and just listen hehe

Aheads up for my Texas friends... the hummingbirds are headed south over a month early this year. Mine are all but gone. I'll fill the feeder this morning but I'll bet I'm done by end of the weekend. They usually are just now starting to hit in droves... that happened back in August.

Okay.. I've caught up the CCC12 and AOCC12 threads. Drawn winners for the month. I'm off to mix cat food and get dressed. Bob should be calling soon. Will check in later!
